Kind of a conversation
What poetry can be
Can't help missing someone
Writing brings me her company

I know it might sound crazy
How words can bring her near
Talking to my lady
Company someone missing near

If only to say good night
Before I fall asleep
Fading with the gentle rain against my window
Raindrops are so very very near

He got a doghouse letter
From the half that is better
Now sparky's on a chain
Pretending to be tame

What did he do he doesn't have a clue
So for the time he's in a bind
And he's gonna play it cool

Why is he always the last one to know
Guess he'll find out any day
There was an extra note from the half that is better
Here's a clue written on my shoe stay in the doghouse and pray

Deja vu Deja Vu
I call out to you
Calling for you

Could we meet on some tropical isle
Where a gentle wind blows and all the while
Dancers sway and an echo stays like deja vu

And the days are warm
Warm are the nights
You hold a string with the moon as a kite

Pull it closer as I hold you
And we'll fall asleep
In the land of deja vu

He thought she might be his manager
She had a business mind
But what if she turned him down
His dreams would be left behind

It was sad for him to think
He may have already missed the boat
And what about the many love letters he wrote
Were they all just a waste of time
To the manager he really needs a line

He was feeling way down and low as could be
He was all alone and lonesome as the empty sea
Long ago he remembers when she pretended to be kind
oops! who will be the manager he really needs a line

Don't know where all the words come from
How they fill my heart and my head
Today I don't have flowers and candy
So I'll give you these words instead

If you begin to sigh and dance
When there's no one around
I guess you gave these words a chance
And suddenly your heart has found

These words are what you long for
And they are just for you
And I will always give you more
Close your eyes for there are flowers and candy too

He went to the bar not to drink but to sing his songs
That's the first time they had met
And when she sang how her light shone

From the very fist look he was under some kind of spell
And it was months before he could tell
She belonged to someone else

For him to comprehend but not really
Because he just couldn't understand

It would be one that would cut to the core

She was stunned by what he said
She thought about it again and again
Looking up above he told her someone married them long ago

Was he crazy she never heard anything like that before
Maybe she wanted to hear a little more
How did he come up with that was it just a line
What if he said it one more time

Did anyone hear this crazy guy
She looked around the room and did a scan
Her heart beating fast what to do goodbye or cry

Sounds like a rap song

Insinuations and innuendos
Won't let it go
And live my life in limbo

Talk in person or look like a geek
Geek to geek it's time to meet

And now the truth I see what I need to say

When he walked down the road

I'm goem to town he replied

He was a little weird as you can tell
He stopped by the sheriff to talk to the jail
The jail was empty so he stepped inside
Sat down and waited there for dr. Jekyll and mr. Hyde

What words does she want to hear
And how will I say them
Let not my words stumble and struggle as she comes near
No not these words Or be words of pretend

What touch shall she want to feel
My hand slow and gentle upon her face
And slowly time is surreal and moves
Towards the embrace

What kiss shall she want to kiss
As love becomes as close as this
A work of art that's always new
Forever as I look into her eyes of blue
