A storm is moving in I call it the storm of sad
How I hate to lose you
And darling it hurts so bad

Some say skies will turn blue but I know what to be true
Even after the clearing there will be no enduring
The storm of sad

Tears are walking through my eyes
With heavy feet they press down my cheek
I write words I know I could never speak

I guess you're getting along just fine
I guess you have a happy life
And you wouldn't need me taking up much of your time

I guess surely there must be someone else
I could find
Too bad I'm always guessing with every line

I guess it wasn't love after all
At least not for you
And I would look like a fool

If I wrote I love you and placed it on a billboard way up high
Next to the sunshine

I was there for a little while you were in my view
Years go by still the sting of love leave me with thoughts of you
And a tender love so true

Sometimes you would hang your head I didn't know why

Your hair falling off your shoulders I wanted so much to hold you
Now my thoughts trace memories that still seem brand new

I remember long ago when worries were few
Everyday was brand new
I was happy as could be
When I knew me

And the world kept lying
And the world kept trying
Telling me I had to be
Someone else

And how strange now it seems
I forgotten so many things
Like the feeling of being free
When I knew me

You didn't know me back then
And that was when
I could have made your heart skip from California to Tennessee

I use to ask her to sing linda rohndast songs
And she would at my request
And when she asked me why

I said because I liked her
But really it was because I loved

And only she knows what I mean

Lady of legends it's been a long time since I've heard you sing

At the moment I entered the room I saw a microphone in her hand
And when our eyes met all I could understand
I would always be in love with the lady of legends

How many times I tried to let you go
It must be an impossible thing to do
Were we never meant to be darling can't you see

The lonely forcefield of life

I guess only the Lord's company will do

There's so much I could say about her
Her hair is adorable and her eyes are oh so blue

I'm positively positive it's a wonderful day
The harmony of this day and me
Is like a spiritual embrace

I'm positively positive what is taking place
Call it what you want call it what you will
I still call it amazing grace

I'm positively positive there's a glow on my face
And where I go your sure to know this wonder is easy to trace

There's a little place with a little lake
Tis known as Jenkins town
A place where I go to meditate
And just hang around

There be ducks and geese and lily pads
And peace of mind most of all
A place where time hasn't messed up the clock
A place where I still feel ten feet tall

The neighborhood is nice and good
Never an angry sound
The firemen there take kids for a ride
Little faces smile with pride as they circle round

Tis known as Jenkins town
If you search you couldn't find one little flaw
And when those kids sit high upon the fire truck
The feeling is ten feet tall

Everyday is yes or no
Back or forward a moment's rest
And then we know

If we are just standing still
Everyday is yes or no
I hate to say maybe I will

I write to where I can never go
A tug of war is a poet's woe
Words to weave to hold you close

Everyday I say yes and everyday you say no
Back or forward a moment's rest
And then I awake for tomorrow

Don't you know I love you so and always will
From the first time your eyes met mine
We both were thinking always will

These are not magnificent words as would be spoken by a king
They sound so ordinary like the rain I've no need to explain
You know I say just what I mean and always will

But are you thinking the rain is a special thing
And if you know keep believing I love you so
And always will
