She's ripping my heart out
Tearing at my guts
Call it zombie love

Our clothes are all torn and tattered
To bathe or not doesn't seem to matter
Call it zombie love

We dance so slow it's called a zombie waltz
And when we talk it's in the language of mumble
And we hold hands every time we stumble
Call it zombie love

We move slower than a bunch of turtles
We never jump over any high hurdles
My name is Manfred and hers is Myrtle
Call it zombie love

I'll share these words with you my love
Only words that lover's love
On your lips I leave a kiss
Let your heart make any wish

Goodbye but I shall return soon
And when you look at the moon above
Remember the words I save for you my love

The wisdom of a man
Is to cherish the woman who loves his soul

My mind's in a dreamy state
Clouds are a slow drifting gray
Just what I ordered and the rain will have to wait

upon the waves of life tossed to and fro
We said goodbye and now I've

No place to go

If I travel far and wide
It'll do me no good
Without her there by my side

I went to the doctor and when he looked at my chart
He said the way she's done you
Love has stung you forever to be a drifting heart

Hurt you can leave now
Loneliness I'll show you the door
You've out worn your company
You won't wear me out anymore

Regret you can be quiet now
And stop lassoing the past
Sadness you can go to a devils hell

This ship has been tossed about wounded as it sails
Sunlight brings peace as I rest against the mast

If I had a house upon a hill

The only thing else I would need
Is for a girl to love me

If I had clothes like a lawyer
A job that paid as well
The girl I am dreaming of
Would know I could never fail

I'm lucky to have a shirt
And a faded pair of jeans
What girl wants a guy
With only faded dreams

I see a trail of dust as her car passes by
She doesn't know my name,has never seen my face
How much longer can I
Wonder all alone so out of place

Just a house upon a hill
A place to call my own
The only thing else I would need
Is for a girl to love me

Do you remember yesterday's gold
A treasure of memories suddenly unfold
Where sunset was slow on an old dusty road

When anxious summertime arrived with it's glow
A car would travel through the neighborhood
And on a loud speaker you could hear
What was playing at the drive in show

And sometimes there was a little kid
Walking down that country road
With the best dog he ever had by his side
And believing God's arms were always opened wide

Ready to hold ready to hold
For a staff he had only a fishing pole
Never would he forget yesterday's gold

Curious I need to investigate
You're so mysterious as the mystery of fate
I wonder what's next I'm a little perplexed

Don't know what's going on or who to trust
Here's my agenda all I can send ya
Is one little word called curious

I'm walking slowly and watching the shadows
Waiting for a mystery to appear
But it's like being on a boat without a paddle
What am I doing way out here

Life is always one big delay
Continue this investigation another day
And that is when I know I will I know I must
Uncover the veil of one little word curious

I met her long long ago
When the day was nearly gone
Sitting close by a fountain
And we were looking at the ruins of rome

There was magic in the air
Such a feeling I had never known
Now it seems I was never there
But I remember her and I remember the ruins of rome

Romance could have been
Romance should have been
But sad the story to be told

Tomorrow could have been
Tomorrow should have been
A love ever more I could hold

How could I have lost her there
If I could return to where once the sun had shone
And sit down by her side and let evening with her glide
While looking at the ruins of rome

Sometimes it flows
Sometimes it grows
Sometimes words can't be found

Sometimes it's loud
Sometimes it's low
Sometimes it doesn't make a sound

But everybody's got a poem
One you just can't hide
Maybe you have beautiful poetry
Walking right by your side

Sometimes it laughs
Sometimes it cries
Sometimes it time travels to the past
Sometimes it has just arrived

Sometimes it's on your mind
Someimes it's in your heart
Sometimes it was left behind
Sometimes it's where you start
