There's a lot of time on my mind
A lot of tears in my eyes
A lot of hurting in my heart
Good thing I had a disguise

Cause you never knew
You never saw the fool
Who hid behind all the lies

Oh it's sad to hang on
It's useless to even try
I finally moved along
But I didn't say goodbye

Some guys never seem to learn
Where their place should be
And when I feel I feel the burn
For tomorrow brings the ashes of your memory

When daybreak a new story to be told

But once upon a time
What time was to me
Now no words too explain

Mars is not very far away

No visitors today for the lonely old man

Away without a plan

No cards no candles not even a cake
It's early in the evening
But seems so very late

Now at his table with praying trembling hands
He may be the only one to know if it's time for him to go
