Firewoods choped and the fire is hot
Smoke rolling out the chimney top
Wintertime isn't gonna make me blue
Wintertime I got time ahead of you

Red bird dancing on the window sill
Prancing around just the way he feels
Let the wind blow and forget the chills

Weather man is talking fast
Talking about an artic blast
Doesn't matter how long it lasts

Got wood stacked to timbuktu

If I had a girl like you
I would be a king
And the way I would rule
Would cause people to sing

I would be ten feet tall
I could see over every problem
And solve them one and all

I walked into a gift shop on the corner
As the weather began to change
Things got a little confusing
How can I explain

Pardon me, I thought I knew your name
I guess I must be mistaken

Your'e walk is so familiar
And the way your hair falls off your shoulder
Suddenly as a glance there's a chill in the air
Yes, it's turning colder

Isn't that the same lovely dress
Iv'e seen once before
Aren't those the same lovely blue eyes

Walking away and trying not to sigh
As I'm standing at the door,trapped by the pouring rain
There's something about sad
When you don't hear neither hello or goodbye

Pardon me I thought I thought your name
I guess I must be mistaken

The record player was a work of art
The needle, the arm,static at the start
The cover glistens over the speakers tone
Dont close the lid,play one more song

My brain is dead,my eyes are red
No words to be said
And the clock is teasing away with time

No inspiration to find
Rewind what thoughts to even start

Asleep and I dream and in the dream
He and She with no mention of money
No reference to the status quo
where time seems to flow

With peace and forever
and the voice of never
Is heard with the words

When I awake I reach for my pen
But how does one write words that have no end

In this dream I find her hand in mine
As I see tears in her eyes

The girl I couldn't figure out
Remembering her walk was enchanting
And how her lips would pout

Directed, the beginning was not meant to be the final scene
And now the camera pans out a far away view
Cut,was not meant to be hurt so deeply
By the girl I thought I knew

Purple hue on the horizon
Clouds waltz by like a slow song
Purple river flowing by the meadow
And the river is winding and long

Birds fly up in the sky with purple wings
I see kites so high with purple strings
Toy soldiers marching fast as they bring
A chariot with a king who wears a purple robe and a purple ring

They cross a bridge over a purple lake
Where three swans swim with their heads bowed low to cry
Lest they fear the king be too late
For the queen is ill and if she sould die

But wait

the sun was shinning brightly through my window pane
And all of a sudden that is when a loud knock at the door came
There was a voice that was dark and deep with a terrible cough
And so for now the story will have to end as I put the book down
And take my sunglasses off

Cloud boom, that is cave man talk
Cloud boom boom boom
Cave man walk fast to cave
Till storm has gone

Try to light fire
Wood is wet
But now has clean attire
Only one thing make cave man fret

And that is cloud boom

Cave man think that storm has gone
Bring out woman and bring out dog
Dog bring out bone

Lightning strike bone dog is gone
Fist time ever cave man and woman
Learn to say word zoom
To cave they go faster than cloud boom boom boom

Yesterdays years have passed on by
Still missing her and why
Did I like her more at the time than what I knew
Memories return and cause me to sigh
Emotionally Blue

What could have What should have
Thoughts of her answer no questions
But only give a clue
A choice once lost is now the cost of emotionally blue

On this side of time and no way back
Tired and worn I reach to tie my shoe
Tomorrow I shall,I will be getting on track

But today I stay on this detour way
A road I know as Emotionally Blue
