False Flag...

There are a few meanings/definitions for false flag.
One is a flag flown to disguise the nationality or affiliation of a vessel, vehicle, or base of operations. For example if a pirate ship flies the flag of one country and attacks the vessels of another country, there is a good chance that the country being attacked will retaliate and attack the innocent country who's flag was being flown.

90 years ago, the German parliament building was burned down due to arson. Immediately after, the Nazis passed a piece of legislation called "decree for the protection of state and people" giving them total police state control over the people.
The fires were blamed on Hitler's political rivals, however historians believe that is was actually the Nazi party who started the fire in a plot to control the masses through fear.

In 1939, Hitler needed a reason to attack Poland and staged a false flag by dressing German troops in Polish uniforms pretending to attack a German radio station near the border. He used concentration camp inmates who had been previously shot and dressed them in German uniforms, leaving them at the station to make it appear they were attacked by the Poles. This created the excuse for Germany to start WWII.

False flag operations can be done on air, land or on the sea and do not have to be military operations, but can be business dirty tricks or political scams.

Snow Birds...

Seasonal residents of South Florida are often called Snow Birds. Many of them have their cars shipped down by trailer during the winter months. You can see them in the front of many developments unloading. Now, it's time for them to return to the North and the car carriers are again back to transport vehicles to the North.
For them, the season is now over. Florida is too hot and humid. If they hail from Canada, it's my knowledge their stay is limited to 6 months. After, they have to declare their income to the IRS and be taxed on their earnings. So, their limit is 6 months.
As I drove out of my community today, I see about 30% of the parking spaces are empty. I know the neighbor on one side of me is from New Jersey and her unit is dark at night. See you when you return.
In the news today another resident of Florida is relocating to the North for the summer. It's reported former president Donald Trump left Mar-a-Lago and headed to New Jersey. Where he will be staying at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf course.

Bedminster will become the new go-to spot for the GOP as many political hopefuls had flocked to Mar-a-Lago holding or attending fundraisers to get time with Trump and possibly get an endorsement.

When winter returns, so will the snow birds!

No Mango Season...

I was in Miami yesterday and drove by my old house expecting to see dozens of mangoes growing on the huge 70+ year old tree in the back yard.
The tree was severely chopped back, no fruit. The neighbor has a smaller tree (from the same fruit of my old tree) and his tree was bare.
Driving around the neighborhood, I didn't see any mangoes to be in season.
That's too strange, but it appears to be the same for many of the places I normally see mangoes.

testing, testing...

I don't enjoy the freedom...

A few times on CS I blogged about women who don't wear bras and gravity takes hold of their bazooms, making the skin stretch for great distances. Envision the granny who complains her husband rests his elbows on the table yet she's nudging her dinner plate!

Talk about the length of women's anatomy strikes a nerve with some women here (the same way mentioning menopause) who try to retaliate by commenting my cojones are down to my knees.

Sorry for revealing TMI, my dad wore boxers. My brother wears briefs. I've always worn briefs and a few years ago, I switched to bikini style as they keep my family jewels in the right place. No sagging whatsoever!

When it comes to comfort, I don't enjoy the freedom.

Dying to Be Apart...

Got 48 minutes? I suggest you watch this very moving video about twins Ladan and Laleh Bijanic conjoined at the head, who went through a pioneering surgical separation.

"Will you stay with me after separation?"
"I'll get rid of you and escape... No, I'm kidding. I'll be with you where ever you go."

The right to arm bears...

Every time a wacko gets a high-power weapon and kills a bunch of people blogs and news media gets saturated with talk about the 2nd amendment. You know, the one from 1791.
Surely they knew back then that common folk would need AK-47's to hunt for food, defend themselves against the British and keep from having savage Native American attacks.

My prediction: For or against, nothing will happen. Nothing will get fixed.

Obama won't take your guns away, the NRA won't fold and the government won't fund programs to identify people who are unstable and likely to need counseling... or more.

This last incident won't be forgotten, but it will fade like the others and people will go back to doing thinks like it was before.

Loss of human rights...

I see lots of conservative resistance toward gun control, complaining about a loss of human rights. Basically the 2nd amendment and gun issue is a painted by a broad brushstroke that cannot separate what type of guns can or cannot be allowed under the law.
In a previous blog I mentioned nothing will get done and nothing will be fixed. There is too much at stake from those in fear of a government uprising and without guns the well-regulated militia cannot defend the citizens of this country.

Being saturated in YouTube videos this holiday weekend, I clicked a link where actress Alyssa Milano addresses the abortion rights. She goes through some interesting history and background as to women and their possible loss of human rights should the 1973 US Supreme Court decision on Roe vs. Wade be overturned.

Personally, I've been avoiding the issue and still am. I post this blog as being informative perspective of things I didn't know about nor followed.

In the video Alyssa cites some examples of how this could lead to the government infringing on women's rights... something akin to those in fear of losing their rights to defend themselves should the 2nd amendment reclassify what weapons can be obtained by the average citizen.

Roadside vendors...

I usually spend my weekends at the county park about 6 miles from my home. The route is a well traveled road with businesses leading out to farmland. Often, I've found people selling things on the side of the road... usually food.
On Saturday morning you can find a pickup truck in a driveway with small crates of corn harvested from a local farm. A few months ago, I bought a case. $20 for 50 ears of corn. It was the freshest corn I've had at a price much less than the grocery store. I was giving corn away as it was coming out of my ears!
Get it... the corn was coming out of my ears.

On the other side of the road is a string of warehouses and in the parking lot, a cooking trailer similar to the ones used in county fairs where a few women sell hot dogs and drinks. Next to them is a pickup truck filled with watermelon.
Both vendors have canopies to shield them from the blistering sun.

Down the road is a larger concession/catering truck with a walk-up window. It's in a clearing where cars can easily park to get food.

Last week a couple came to the county park with a small hotdog stand selling drinks, chips and hot dogs. They showed up again today and moved long the country part seeking signs of life!

Last year, coming back from a jobsite I saw a guy who had several large ice buckets and he was selling seafood. He owns a seafood shop and when they bring in too much catch, he sells it on the street... better prices than the seafood market and fresh.

I'm not sure what the local laws are for street vendors, I know in Hollywood, the rolling cafeterias are licensed. They also have their territory marked out. A Spanish woman (with 5 children) and her mother were cooking Empanadas and selling them from the trunk of their car, selling to the factories in the area, but they got flushed out by the 'roach-coach' drivers as it was taking away from their business and for sure the woman and mom were unlicensed.

Since COVID, I've been wary of buying any prepared foods from a street vendor, The corn and watermelon purchases are safe in my book. Also, they return every weekend so if I had a bad purchase, I'd have a chance they would make good on a re-selection!

Roadside vendors... gotta make a living.

The real voices behind Milli Vanilli...

In the late 1980's the duo of Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus hit the pop music scene under the name of Milli Vanilli. They were a duo of uber-handsome guys located in Germany that could sing and dance. Along with a string of hit songs with videos, Milli Vanilli were selling millions of records, making live performances and received lots of radio play.
The duo were so successful they were nominated for a Grammy Award for best new artists and won!
Everything was going good... perhaps too good. When interviewed, it was apparent they had strong accents that were undetected in their singing voices. Suspicions in the industry arose about them not being genuine, but so the tour dates and success was overwhelming.

It wasn't until the prerecorded music at a live performance skipped and Rob walked off stage. It was then confirmed Milli Vanilli had been lip-syncing all along.
aka "The Dream Is Over..."
The no little talent boys were tricked into contracts by the producer and the entire production was a fraud... the recorded voices weren't theirs. The actual singers weren't visually marketable, Fab and Rob were.

Years later, there are dozens of Milli Vanilli lip-syncing scandal videos explaining what happened. Here is one:

Digging up gun dirt...

Two stories about gun maker Daniel Defense popped into the news today.
Days after the pandemic fund opened, they received $3.1 million in government small business aid via the Paycheck Protection Program used to support it's 200 employees.

(I'm not sure how 200 employees qualifies as a small business, considering they are the largest privately owned firearms manufacturers in the country.)

The Twitter account of Daniel Defense reportedly had an advertisement photo of a young child holding a similar weapon used in the Uvalde mass shooting stating “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Interesting mindset... ya think?

Half Mast...

Driving to a few appointments today it appears that every American flag is being flown at half mast, as it should be.
