Your daily dose of Donald... 9-20-2022

Nobody does it better...
The queen's funeral was yesterday. Joe Biden and the first lady were the only American diplomats invoted. Yes, I know it's invited. laugh

Anyway, Joe sat in the 14th row. Was it a big deal? Were seats assigned?
It's suggested Biden's late arrival may have been a factor in not getting better placement.
I don't really know. But I do know that Trump claimed it was a lack of respect for Joe and he commented he would have insisted a better spot "If I were president."
Well, it's good Donald. You're not the president, so it's a moot point.

One story referred to Trump's comment as Biden's placement being 'Nose Bleed Seats."
Well, that sums up the relevance of her majesty's funeral and a baseball game.

Trump is still complaining about the FBI raid of his Mar-a-Lago property. This time it was about them dirtying the bedroom carpet.

At a recent rally, he stated (without evidence) witnesses to the January 6th (insurrection) are being blackmailed by the government into saying bad things about him.

That could be... one story today referred to the insurrectionists as his foot soldiers, under his direction. So maybe it's not 'bad' things about him but 'accurate things' about him.
That depends on if you still support him or not.

The Blue Hour...

I'm up really early this morning and checking to see when sunrise starts. Google (on my phone) is around 7:05. I saw a link that described the 'twilight' time between dark and actual sunrise as described to be the blue hour.
Direct sun rays are below the horizon and the blue illumination is the light passing through the atmosphere.
There is a 70% chance of rain today and storm clouds are offshore, so the chance of a beautiful may not work this morning.

Waiting 14 hours to see the Queen...

The Queen, Lying-in-State outside Westminster Hall in London has crowds reportedly waiting 14 hours to see a closed casket and pay their respects.
Reports are due to the huge number of people, the queue was at capacity and entry had to be paused for six hours making wait times reach 14 hours as the line stretched 5 miles (8km) from Parliament to Southwark Park.

One woman interviewed said she got in the line at 4am Friday. Quoted as saying it's a moment in history to celebrate and would regret not being part of it.

I saw a reader comment about the lead lined casket being closed. He had suspicion her body wasn't inside.

To dream or not to dream...

I dream in color and most of my dreams are realistic. Normal stuff. I've jammed with other musicians, had conversations with friends and family. Discussed things about work. A few times I know what my day would be like because my dream the night before gave me a clue. Not a premonition, but enough sequence that I 'got the gist' something was coming up.

Years ago, I worked for a company and decided to leave because it was extremely hectic and I felt like I wasn't getting support from management... I waited for them to hire a replacement before leaving and a few months after, I was told the replacement wasn't working out and to PLEASE come back!
I did and the night before my fist day back I had a dream of meeting a blonde haired woman wearing a blue business suit. It was in a corporate environment and she was basically complaining to me about work that wasn't finished.
100% accurate. I was sent to meet a designer they started doing work for shortly after I left and she was very busy meaning it was potentially lots of work for us. So, I had to go to salvage the account.

Two days ago, I was dreaming I had the refrigerator door open and I was looking around. I do that often, open the door (letting cold air out) and stare for a few minutes... strange, but not a big deal for a dream. In the dream, I saw a package of English Muffins. I've been avoiding bread products to lose weight and thought "How did they get here?"
The first thing I checked when I got up was to see if English Muffins were in the refrigerator. Nothing!
Yeah, I've got some in there now!!

Will the sun eventually set on the British empire...

I scanned a few stories tonight that discuss some changes now that Queen Elizabeth has passed and the possibility of some Commonwealths breaking ties with the crown.

Will the sun eventually set on the British empire?

Mike Lindell, your pillow guy...

When Trump was president, Mike Lindell was in the news. I'm guessing he poured money into the Trump campaign and bought rights to have White House clearance as he was there often. He was banned from Twitter but not as a claim to fame. Let's (try to) get past that, but his name keeps popping up in some weekly news.
I think he was in the wave of those protesting of election fraud... I believe he was in the boat with attorney Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani. Those too have a handful of lawsuits against them and Mike is just icing on the cake.

This week, it's reported awaiting food at a Hardee's restaurant, the FBI with a warrant seized his cellphone.

Mike, next time, spend the $150 and get a pre-paid (burn) phone.

Your daily dose of Donald... 9-15-2022

There's a lot going on in the world this week. Preparation for Queen Elizabeth's funeral, Florida's governor Ron DeSantis sending 2 planes with migrants to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, My pillow guy Mike Lindell having his cellphone confiscated by the FBI.
Somewhere along the way, Trump was asked about a running-mate for 2024 and if his daughter would be considered. His reply was no.

Stories keep regurgitating about seized documents from Mar-a-Lago. We all know the story changes to fit the questions and somewhere along the way 'some' documents were returned... his lawyers took his word for it. This leads to a credibility issue and if said documents had actually been returned, a search wouldn't have been necessary... or as some like to say, Biden's weaponized police state would have searched and found nothing.

If his lawyers supported false claims, they become liable... sticky isn't it. At some point if a lawyer gets charged, he may rollover on Donald to avoid a risk of disbarment.

Already some of the Trump Organization top employees have pleaded guilty on tax fraud. If you recall Michael Cohen stated that Trump approved every decision in his companies, so only one person should be responsible to as they say in gangster movies 'take the heat'.

Regarding lawyers for all things Trump... If you don't get your money up front, there's a really good chance you'll be working for free. I was going to use the statement PRO BONO, that that refers to clients with a low income. Donald doesn't fall into that category.

Cheap chairs...

I'm known for buying cheap office chairs. They usually last 3 to 5 years and get tossed out or handed down when a new one arrives. I've been through lots of fabric styles and a few ultrasuede versions. I dislike the bonded leather chairs as it's an emulsion of a polyurethane skin with fibers of leather for the backing. It looks and smells like plastic. Naugahyde is on my 'do not buy' list.

Also, I avoid real leather. Mostly for the expense and I don't like the smell.
Two years ago, I bought a stylish 'minimal' chair for my living room that was wood and thin leather cushions. I had to return it as the leather had a 'vomit-like' smell.

Someone I worked for years ago, bought an ultra-expensive judges chair with a high back rolled cushion top and rolled arms complete with the decorative tacks. Expensive in the range of $2,500, he made some statement his chair could easily last 15 years. Okay, but he used to shave his head and within a few weeks, the headrest started changing color from the oil in his skin! One day he came into the office (from working on something in the factory) and forgot to remove a screw driver from his back pocket. Deep scratch in the seat that will annoy him for the remaining 14 years in the life of his expensive chair!

The funeral train...

The security and logistics of possibly a million people wanting to converge in Westminster to pay respects to Queen Elizabeth is an event never to be repeated. I saw a few short videos of the procession from Buckingham Palace and thought of other famous people and how it was best to handle crowds like this.
Could more people witness a procession with less security risk if she were on a funeral train?

I did some research.
President Abraham Lincoln was the first in 1865.
His presidential rail car that was never used while he was alive, was fitted as a hearse and it traveled 1,654 miles passing through 180 cities in seven states.

President Eisenhower's funeral train passed through seven states during its journey to Abilene, Kansas, which Eisenhower called home.

I don't recall if entertainer James Brown had a funeral train, but he had private services with friends and family at an undisclosed location, then a public service at the Apollo Theater in New York and another viewing at the James Brown Arena in Augusta, Georgia.

Too late now, but I'm curious if the planners of the Queen's considered that.

This reads like a tabloid story about Bigfoot. He was spotted in DC with no specific agenda. Later he was spotted in Virginia driving a golf cart, something he's really good at!

I haven't heard the final on who is paying for the grand special master. Trump wanted one, let Trump pay for one. No negotiation required. Judge Raymond J. Dearie was listed as a suitable choice. I'm not sure if it's been confirmed.

Trump's lawyers say the classified documents seized at Mar-a-Lago may not be classified. Interesting comment from lawyers who saw a photo sampling of what was found there... extra points, though as it matters not if they were (pick any) top secret, classified, declassified as ALL of those documents belong in the hands of NARA and not ex-president Donald J. Trump. According to law, he broke the law.

No delay for the criminal tax fraud trial against the Trump organization. The trial is set to start on October 24.

Your daily dose of Donald... 9-10-2022

Sorry I missed a few episodes but (at least) 3 new Donald stories appear in the news each day. Last week, Trump and legal team requested a special master to review the government documents found at Mar-a-Lago. This potentially stalled the process, possibly until after the mid-term elections which could have a significant impact on the voting outcome should he be found guilty of (to put it nicely) doing something illegal.

Anyway, he's suggesting the DOJ pays for the special master. The DOJ disagrees... he's calling for this, he should pay. Don's a great negotiator, (isn't he?) and wants to split the cost with the government.

Link:

Reader comments are always entertaining:
"Trump wants the government to pay half so that when he stiffs his part at least the Special Master will get something."

"He asked for it. It should come out of Trump’s pocket and not the taxpayer’s pocket."

"This is really something, trump filed the motion for a special master, now they want help to pay for what they asked for, that like me asking for a new car and wanting the dealership to help me pay for it"

"He doesn't pay bills, loves to claim bankruptcy, also loves to get out of paying taxes. Then he should have all kinds of money to pay for the special master. Bet if he was to pay half, he would stiff the special master also"

"Why should the taxpayers pay for it? He took documents that didn't belong to him. Besides that, just last week, he was telling everyone that he's a billionaire. If so then let him pay for the special master that he wants."

"It’s not gonna be cheap either MAGAS. So get your checkbooks out because he needs your money to delay his indictment. Also, pay attention to who is cashing your checks. You’re in for a big surprise MAGAS!"

"I sure wish we could in some way redact Trump's entire presidency."

"Grump has some special documents he could trade for payment."
