What just happened
Two weeks ago I mentioned a pretty friend that lived just a couple of doors down got diagnosed with Leukemia, three weeks later DEAD. ugh I had gone once to the hospital to see her before the chemo and she was absolutely fine, pretty as ever, great attitude and the chemo she had been getting hadn't made her sick yet. It did two days later.A few days ago her son asked if I would take Lucy, a little white dog that his mother loved as much as I love Bella, the itty bitty furball. What just happened? I've been trying to wrap my head around this so here is the plan.
A couple of months ago my bro mentioned wanting to buy a dog. I begged him to rescue one instead. Now that Lucy, which is a very good mellow playful little girl plopped into my lap, I'm hoping he will rescue her but it is up to his wife. I'm taking the dog over there tonight to celebrate my sister-in-laws retirement, she quits today. If it is meant to be, 8 year old Lucy will have a loving home at my bros. If not guess I will fall in love with another canine. A human to love would have been nice but I think I'm happier with a dog.
When I walk Lucy the neighborhood street walkers all recognize her and have to socialize, ugh (but it's fun too). Great opportunity for flirting - I love flirting.
Lucy is a great dog so far. Not sure who is going to love her, bro or me but she is a winner either way. My two dogs won't acknowledge each other. Bella likes to sit next to me while Lucy has to sit on me. Driving with both spoiled brats trying to sit on my lap wasn't too easy so I got a car seat for one of them. Again not sure which one gets the lap and which the car seat, hope they work it out.
Bella is 14 yrs old so no more playing for her. Very entertaining to watch Lucy play with her toys. My tidy living room now has all kinds of stuffed toys everywhere and I love it.
Tonight I celebrate with bro & wife to a new life of retirement, tomorrow celebrate Easter family dinner. Dad won't be there but he is still alive. All us siblings are pushing Mom to come. It will be a good time for all us siblings to talk since we all have different schedule, this doesn't happen often.
Happy Easter to all.

I'm glad Lucy has you looking out for her.
I thought Bella might be jealous of splitting your attentions with Lucy.
But, I didn't hear mention of that, which I hope, is a good thing.
I love the name of your dog. Not sure your sister in law will want a door if she just got freedom from work she most likely will want to travel unless you will dog sit for them when they do.
Have a lovely night with tour family and friends and Happy Easter
You have a Good Easter,
People rescue dogs, so do dogs rescue ..... people
YOU keep the dog Fay, already she's proving good for you ....
goodness can be sometimes so hard to find so maybe hold onto it rather then give it away
Sorry about your pretty Friend
That's sad about your dad
Anyways, a happy Easter to you with your family
Oh" and to Lucy as well.
I hope your brother takes little Lucy. She must be feeling very lost and confused without her mother. I've no doubt she'll find a lovely home with you if he decides not to.
