The Prodigal Son
I was almost converted when I read the chronicles of the prodigal son. He must have loved it to read his own eulogy and was probably getting dressed to attend his own funeral when a sorceress resurrected him. A perfect example of how the result can justify the method. And when I speculate about the (self-imposed??) exile in Babylon I get no wiser. It is hard to discern who is following the script and who is playing by ear. I detect a smokescreen here and cannot help to wonder if the accomplice is part of the setup or if she is just being played as well.
I would have placed my own on the tombstone... had I not known for a fact that the prodigal son had access to an internet-connected device on Friday, August 23 which casts serious doubts over a lot of things in and around the confessions of both the sorceress as well as the accomplice. But then, was she (the accomplice) in the loop? Knowing the extent of his imagination, nothing is impossible. I think we all remember some previous attempts at gaining attention and sympathy.
About the Internet appearance on the 23rd, it is a pity that I did not bother to retain a copy of the now destroyed blog. But I believe enough people read it. A few even commented on the immorality of the contents. Of course it was him, or otherwise, he has a very good copycat on his tail and I don’t believe that.
So now all we need to do is to wait for the prodigal son to return so we can feast on the fatted calf.
But then all this is just speculation, conjecture and/or opinion.
This blog is a script I'm writing for TV and is, in its entirety, is a figment of my imagination. Any resemblance to any place or person, dead or alive, is either by fluke or absolutely deliberate. If you see yourself here, give me a tinkle so we can arrange for an audition. Stick around - I'll make you famous.

I thought so too at first but it is the timing of it that bothers me. When I got up at about 6:30 am the blog was still there. Then twenty minutes later after morning ablutions and before coffee, the blog was gone. With the time difference at what - maybe seven hours? - it went missing at about midnight. Is there a mod on nightshift?
And maybe I'm seeing something that is not there, but there may be a connection to his disappearance on the 11th. Something else happened that day. Methinks that this whole missing story was part of a scheme and Jenny was (maybe not knowing why) told not to squeal. I think, being a drama queen he wanted to create a bit of panic by going missing.
You see, at the best of time I can read him because his mind works very much like mine. He just does not have the finesse.
But then, I could be barking up the wrong tree.
So that makes it 5:30 or earlier in Spain. And it clear that up. So the mods work all night.
Pity they did not wait another half hour. I still wanted to read the latest comments.
It's heartbreaking to lose a blog.
that should of been A good "witch" and " darn" good at it as well ....
Now back to frying my
stakesteakI agree with you...name calling is not a good look...but we are not perfect at times...
Just do not understand why people go to such lenghts...telling blogland that a member here died...
The last witch to be burned at the stake was Barbara Zdunk and that was 21 August 1811. Anyway, in Britain they are hanged, not burned.
We need to inform people when some blogger has died so somebody can blog about it. Suitable topics are hard to come by.
I'm glad you brought this up. Both parties were guilty of name-calling and the one is no better than the other.
As you say, none of us are angels and using foul language esp from beneath the clothing only denotes a poor vocabulary. There are enough other words to use.
Actually, I have written the whole thing off as an Irish domestic quarrel.
I hope the mods will see it in the same light. I had three blogs deleted before and I don't want this one to go the same way. I'm very attached to my blogs. I raise them with lots of love and it kills me when one of them is executed.
Who might you be referring to now? Let me into the secret as well.
Besides, it is against the rules.
4. TITLES. Blog titles may not include a member's username.
These are all diversionary tactics to try and move attention away from the main issue (Donald Trump does this all the time). If your position is indefensible, then you may want to bring up past injustices (real or imagined) and also call in your loyal troops as character witnesses. It wasn’t surprising.
Where Jenny is concerned, I suspect she believed she was honouring her friend’s wishes only to later realize that she’d been caught between two master manipulators. I don’t think Jenny is devious unlike the other two.
My opinion on the whole episode hasn’t changed. While there have been some revelations, there were no surprises.
You know me by now. It was not said to extract apologies. I just don't like to be caught in the middle when two people I consider friends fight on my blog for in the end, they're both cross with me. And unless if I missed something, you did not make yourself guilty of 'mud-slinging'.
Actually, I just went through the comments and what I found was you taking on two guys (separately) on valid issues and still not resorting to some of the language I have seen on the other blogs. I appreciated the limited foul language. I feared much worse when I first saw the comments this morning.
Nope, don't take that comment as aimed at you, I just raised my opinion while with you. Even though you have not been on my blog for a while, I still rate you as a friend.
So you may cancel that apology. It was not required.
What I said to Dee applies here too. Don't take it as if it was aimed directly at you. there is no need to apologize
It is not so bad. I don't want that argument to spill over to here any further. I like and respect you all and I don't want you to fight with each other. At least not here.
I just thought the whole debacle was quite strange indeed...wasn't on the site for awhile and when I saw the banter on several blogs...I was left scratching my head...
I do not miss those anti-muslim blogs...lol...
Perhaps the confused Filipina is now enlightened......
I am not perfect either as you can see...although in my opinion, it is in poor taste to start such rumours regarding death...
Time to move on...
Once it turned out that Nam was Ok the whole episode took a different color from my perspective. I found it extremely funny. And the only real casualties were the mourners. But it could be seen as a learning curve. Now they'd be able to do it better next time when it is really needed.
We did have some bloggers that died...and bloggers here mourned the loss...that is probably what disturbed some members here...but agree...it is a chat site basically and people do move on...their choice...
