Discovering Connecting Singles
I have never believed in Long Distance Relationships and have never bothered with dating sites. Until I stumbled across CS in January last year.
I was fixing a washing machine for a friend at the time and needed some of those bubble like terminals that you use to join electric wires. I went inside to look on the internet for a close by supplier. And I Googled ‘connecting terminals for single electric wires’.
And one of the search results was Connecting Singles. I clicked on the link and read one or two articles. Then I read a few blogs and when I wanted to comment I got the log on screen. I joined right there and then. I was very disappointed when I learned that I had to wait a week but I added a photo to my profile the next day. I visited the blogs every day and after the week I knew all the regulars.
I was hooked before making the first posting.
But how did you get to know about CS and how did it happen that you are here now? How long have you been with CS.
Has it worked for you? I found somebody I’m sweet on.

And by the way, I did find the stuff I was looking for and fixed my friend’s washing machine the next day.

That is a good strategy. I was very surprised to learn how different people feel about the same thing in other parts of the world.
Things that is important here get very little attention overseas and the other way around.

With English being a second language to me, I fear I do not quite understand the message. Maybe if you could rephrase to be a bit more specific?
i have not tried that but I did spend a bit of time with some of the quizzes. Some are really good.
I got on as a result of doing to other sites and I was really dissatisfied. Then I stumbled on a free site with the same results. And I finally made it here!
I believe in meeting the right one in many ways and this is but one way. You'll never know unless you try!

Yes, the Google search engine misses very little.
And CS remains a grand site. I have looked at quite a few other sites. Nothing is free and they don't have a quarter of what we have here for free. It is a pity that some are forever wanting to spoil it all.

I must admit that wine has a funny side effect on me.

I was googling Poetry sites when I discovered Poetry Corner and that is where I first went every time I logged on when I joined this site last Easter. I made some great friends there and then I discovered the blogs where I made more great friends also but the best of all found my sweetheart.
It would not me the first time that a site changed in character like that. All that is needed is a new owner and/or cash problems.
