Can You Eat A Television Set?

According to Wikipedia, in 2009, 78% of the world's households owned at least one television set.

According to ATD Fourth World
About 15% of the global population live with less than 1 dollar per day.
About 40% of the global population live with less than 2 dollars per day.
About 20% of the global population have 90% of the wealth.

Now I wonder where does all the people get the money for a TV set when more than half our population don’t have enough money to buy food?

Just something to ponder on. Going for some medical tests. Gotta run, my lift is here. See ya guys in a few hours time.

some don't pay for a tv..they steal them..more often than not.not so well off people steal.

Hope you feeling okay.

It is also like crisis you know. Pension cut off ,, staff cut off,no salary increase but when there function at working place you can see where the crisis go

so just like that people ignore three four day meals and buy TV.

Yes, you can wonder, and what also is to ponder for me is that a lot of homeless people in America has a car to stay in? How can you have a car when you don't even have a home? That's even more to ponder. If you are homeless here in Norway, you don't have a car or a TV-set. I do not have any more answer to your question then you have to mine I guess. MMMMM I never believe all I read I see a lot of people on our news who say they go to food give outs as the cannot afford food----the have cig out their mouths and some grossly over weight I know some people are truly hard up but the number crunchers pick the worst cases and they are not true facts.
And this wealth kicking gets beyond the pale as if someone has worked hard and is now wealthy so what, if you inherited money what do you do hand it back

Its the greedy fraudsters I do not like, bank robbers government robbers and the like.

Using the same source for statistics it would be interesting to see how many percent don't have electricity, if it's more than 22% it would be fascinating to know what the ones without do with their TV's
