Doubled Membership Fees?
I have heard it on good authority from an undisclosed source via an anonymous email that CS is going to double our membership fees. This increase will be backdated to January 2014 and all arrears will be recovered in due course.
The increase was necessitated by the loss of income due to suspended members refusing to pay their membership fees.
However, it is not all bad news as they promised a 20% discount based on the new membership fees until such time they can organize a new chat room provider; so until then we will only pay 60% more than what we currently have to pay.
As a guide to calculate your new membership fees, divide it by 5 and multiply with 8.
Actually, we should not see this as bad because it is a small price to pay considering all the activities we enjoy here on CS. We should rather see it as an investment in our own futures. CS will be worth it, even if they triple the membership fees.
It was also said that any person not happy with the increase will be refunded a pro rata portion of their membership fees if they decide to leave during the month. No notice will be required and the refund will be done automatically.
The CS management were not available for comment and did not confirm or deny the rumors.
Of course, it is possible that this is a hoax but it is unlikely as it is the first time I get information from this source and therefore I have not received false information from them yet. I have to believe it until proved otherwise.

Nope, not yet. All I got was a notice to tell me if that they strive to keep their members happy and that if I'm not happy they will refund my membership fees I have paid here on CS in full for the entire period I was here.

I have just heard that CS is having a problem with the accounting system. Everybody, whether they have paid or not, sits with a zero balance and they cannot see who is up to date or not.
AS I explained to USha, they're having a problem to see who has paid or not. You better fax the payment detail over to them.

Eish, you may be lost. This is the planet Zag. It it used to be Zig but there was too much zogging around, so we changed name. We are still awaiting approval from the United Interplanetary Council (UIC) but there should be no problems. You may proceed in changing your letterheads.
The check is in the mail is the most commonly used phrase to delay payment but don't despair; CS has promised not to suspend anybody for non-payment. No now or ever in the future.
much better no to take chance and make two payments. Rather be ahead by zero than being in arrears by 0.
The safest way to pay is to stick the notes to a piece of paper and to fax it in. Remember to turn them over and fax the other sides as well. single sided notes are not valid currency.
I hear that consumer forums are going crazy. The say 100% is 100% no matter how small the amount that it is based on. It will just pave the way for other companies to follow suit.
You can deposit them at any one of the slot machines at the closest casino. The funds will be redirected to CS without a problem. Remember to write your membership number in both sides of the coins with a permanent marker before making the deposit.

With the instability of the property market it is regrettable but last when I heard Monopoly money cannot be accepted but you may try. Who knows? They may have changed their policy.

Yes and all those who have been members for more than two years can get another 10% discount on their membership fees. Alas I don't qualify for that yet.
