you worry me
This was a letter written by a Christian pilot to a Muslim doctor, who thought was being profiled while boarding a plane.Sent to me by a friend.
YOU WORRY ME!
I've been trying to say this since 911, but you worry me. I wishyou didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country. But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me.
I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citizens and our friends for more than 20 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate, but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.
On September 11, ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes and crashed them into buildings, killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.
The Palestinians celebrated, the Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world. So, I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want to be consumed by the same rage, hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists. But I need your help. As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

There doesn't appear to be enough debris from those buildings...
Having said that we're just like waiting for what's coming and if we're the victims doesn't matter because what we believe in doesn't count.
Nahhh..i still have faith in my country and what it stands for.
Now you might be different and I respect that, but if you're not doing anything with what you believe in, then I guess, it wouldn't make any difference, would it?

I'm not denying you the right to feel how you feel, but it is your choice and responsibility how to manage and process your feelings.
I am, however, denying that it's fair of you to spread hatred and prejudice. With freedom of speech comes responsibility.
I do wonder if you're really as obtuse as you appear. It's hard to imagine from someone who claims to be so well educated.
Don't tell me you don't worry at all. The majority of those who keeps getting hurt, I'm sure will not be with you.
Offer an alternative other than nuking them as already discussed by the Woodhouse brothers? Now speaking of intelligence and education, these are the epitome of highest level of schooling and brilliance in reason.

Hate, aggression name calling will never heal or sort out a problem ever!
Maybe we should all look more for the good in people and more at our own personal problems and weaknesses before judging others harshly.
If here in the blogs we cannot be tolerant and respectful how we speak to each other how on earth can we ever expect peace to prevail.
I personally do not have answers to the worlds problems. I do know though as we show love to our neighbours it will go a long way to healing and helping.
