Weightloss

Since I left the blogs a few years back, I've lost a considerable amount of weight....as shown in my "before" photos below.. blushing uh oh rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing ...through daily biking of at least 8 miles a day and eliminating carbohydrates from the food I eat...I also steer clear of processed foods that are frozen or packaged in boxes or cans, everything I eat is fresh. Im not getting any younger so I take care of what I do have today....usage of Noxema for over 20 years has drastically delayed the wrinkles for me, as I'm over 40 and have very few. Anyone else have any of their own ideas they use to keep their youth? Or any stories of self improvement? Or tips for weightloss, excercise, eating healthy or health in general? Inquiring minds want to know dunno conversing yay kiss wave

Enigma.... way too goooo well done you hug

After having my son (28 years ago) I gained and gained, everything I tried, I failed, I hit 107.5 kilos at one stage, and was desperate, I hated my photo being taken, and, was unable to look at myself in the mirror.

Enigma, I believe we have intolerances from all the junk and GMO foods we eat. I do my best with not too much money, to eat pure food.
You look stunning, really great, well done !! sad flower
Wow ladies, looking great and feeling good being healthy is the best of it all! applause

Lost a lot of weight (gained and lost mainly through being sick years ago) and keeping my weight for many years now.

Very few wrinkles, never smoked or drank a lot and looked after my skin. Switched from pharmacy bought skincare to doing my own creams and beauty stuff with good oils and butters to cut down on chemicals in these products. conversing

There is a series of brilliant books and I can't recall the author atm. doh Will have a look when at home wave
Oooohh Knenagh...the author and title would be very helpful .... The noxema is a cleanser and I'll swear by it but would love to know of some oils and creams to use in addition! Thank you so much, you look wonderful! wave
Will have a look Enigma as I found the book very interesting. conversing

Pinterest has a ton of recipes and it's a matter of finding out what works for you. Made below face cream, it's a bit oily initially but absorbs well.

Homemade Face Lotion for Sensitive Skin
• 3 Tbsp Shea butter –
• 3 Tbsp Apricot Seed Oil
• 1 tsp Vitamin E
• 1 tsp Aloe Vera Gel
• Essential Oils – I used 7 drops Lavender and 7 drops frankincense.

Put the Shea butter into a bowl for mixing. Using a hand mixer or your Kitchen Aid blender with whisk attachment, start whisking away. Drizzle in the apricot kernel oil, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera Gel, and then the essential oils.

If anyone has a recipe about homemade shampoo that works please let me know. wave
Robrt...thank you but I still cringe when I see past photos rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing I don't drink soda or alcohol (usually lol) either....this past excursion this weekend was an abnormality for me drinking rolling on the floor laughing I am a smoker, have been for 30 years, that, I would have to say is my very worst and most difficult habit to kick. I eat plenty of meat for protein to build muscle with my daily exercise. It's good that you always get checkups to maintain your health, keep that going yeh thumbs up I always try to stay positive....always smilin grin but I do certainly have my moments. Very kind of you to help others, makes you the wonderful person that you are! Thank you so much, you are very sweet!

@ Enigma - wave ... Here in Australia there is a new super-food that is available and the results are amazing for heath benefits.

They are the Queen Garnet plums pictured below:

I was eating two each day until the growing season ended, now I'm buying the nectar, available in 250ml bottles, each bottle contains the juice of about 3-4 plums.

There is only one company 'Nutrafruit' with the commercial rights to this product and they are absolutely inundated with orders from around the world this year:

One really needs to read the whole story about these plums:

This product is absolutely amazing

Posting hyperlink addresses on the blogs get cut short.... here it is again cut in half:

Ohh non, I have missed ya too, luv hug
Hah, Ali, thanks...but I try not to remember those days rolling on the floor laughing
Thanks, timotie....still have a long way to go....workin on it
Yes, calm, Noxema is the best, I'd swear by it! Have never tried Oil of Olay
Hans...I wonder if I could find that in a specialty store here...worth doing a little research. Thank you!
@ Enigma - wave .. You could give the link to Nutrafruit to your local health food store or supermarket to see if they can obtain the product for you.

You could buy online directly yourself but the cost of shipment would be somewhat prohibitive I live only 1,000 kilometers away and it would cost me nearly $15 for a 10 pack of juice to buy online, therefore I have my local supermarket chain buy in bulk to supply all their hundreds of stores and makes it cheaper for myself.

... grin hug wine pointing this is not wine, it's QG nectar... laugh
Hans, I'll definitely give it a go...thanks
KNenagh, Why don't you do a Blog on making your own Creams, toothpaste, let us know how you do it. I mix Geranium and Lavendar, it is basic but has a calming effect, I have it all over the house,, I also use other oils to keep moths away and make sachets to put in my wardrobe . Many of the organic Nut oils are great for the scalp. Cider Vinegar is great for psoriasis of the scalp and taken internally too for same. I wont go on any longer. but would love to learn some more, its great to make your own household stuff. I hate those air fresheners, they smell of pure chemical underneath the so called 'Roses' or 'Fresh linen' Take care wine
Congrats Enig you look fantastic handshake
and all the other ladies too.

Wish my two little heavy weights had a success story also...
but alas not all mothers wishes do come truemoping

As for beautiful skin, what you put into your body shows on the outside, so a fresh healthy diet results in fresh healthy looking skin..plenty of water too along with BEETROOT juice considering of course your not dibetic that is.
GG, wave tried some recipes and they came out well and will try to make more over Easter (waiting on one more order). Will make a blog when I can say a bit about the products I made, so far I'm happy with the outcome. If I want to wash clothes this week, I better make up my laundry liquid. laugh
