Blogs Without A Narrative
I don’t have a problem with a picture or video blog, but why not make a decent blog of it? You should really treat your readers with a bit more respect.Don’t just dump a photo in your blog for us to guess what you’re trying to convey to us. Tell us something about the photo or video. What does it mean to you? Share your thoughts on it.
Or are you too scared to write something because it may give away something about yourself?
You don’t have to write much. Just tell us your reflections on it, or maybe just a descriptive heading for each pic or video.
This may sound like criticism but it is meant to be constructive and not aimed at anybody specific. Some of you will probably think that I should mind my own business and tell me to worry about my own blog. And you’d be perfectly right, but being the busy body I am, I just had to poke my nose into it.
But then again, it is all opinion and, as things stand, it is just mine. So do with it whatever you want. You can even print it on soft paper to use it in the toilet.
Hang in there. The weekend is on the horizon.

Be careful though, the ink may be toxic.
You will have to be more original, I already said that in my blog.
Actually, I knew somebody would say it; that is why I preempted. Does that make me clairvoyant?
There may be one or two added advantage in using newspaper. Over here we use it to clean windows, It gives it a great shine and the printers ink (toxic) keep the flies away.
I should imagine so. You did say you use it to clean the windows.
Lacking originality is okay when you're agreeing with someone, all I did was second your idea
You are right, that a blog should have certain criteria.
On the other hand it's nice to feel free and to be able to present ones views in any form.
--and also an excellent written blog may end as toilet paper - if the other person doesn't agree..
Don't get me wrong. I like it when people agree with me. It's always nice to share the same opinion.
Since I am not able to download videos (can download pics though!) - I´m actually useless at anything too technical! - then I have to use the written word instead.
I don't mind my blogs ending up as toilet paper, as long as I don't get sued because the paper was too hard. Soft paper is an optional extra.
But I think you're wrong. Anybody can write blogs.
I seldom use a picture. Only when it adds value to the blog. It should be a visual aid to the text and not the other way around.
I normally try to stay with in guidelines as provided by CS.
A Blog is a journal you may enter about your life, your thoughts, interesting experiences, or lessons you have learned. It's your own page on Connecting Singles that you can update on a regular basis, or just whenever you have something to say. You can write about an opinion, impart words of wisdom, or talk about something interesting in your day. Creating a blog is a good way to share something of yourself with Connecting Singles members.
Ouch!! I think that was invented by a fella who did not chew his biltong too well and ate too much of it.
14 Images and YouTube videos require text to be written along with them. Your opinion or reason for adding them to your blog must be clearly stated. Enter only 1 image or video per blog entry.

Eish!! That is some relieve. I was imagining all kinds of evil coming from that roll.
Cat seems like DC still hasn't forgiven you.
It seems that she loves to hate me. But we get along.
Then again, it is all opinions and everybody has one.
Hmm, a bog without text is like a map without a legend.
I'm not trying to prove a point here; just raised my opinion.
No, it does not apply to you or anybody else except those who want to apply it to themselves, As you said, only opinion.
My range of topics are limited to....plastic surgery....holidays....men and dogs..... ....
Don't worry, you will still get many new ideas. I often run out of ideas. Then I grab one of my older topics and do a complete remake. It is not always easy to come up with something new.
Well, I'm there too. You have just reminded me that I have an appointment sometime to see my GP. I better check up to see when it is. I hope I did not miss it. Mind you, he would have phoned me if I did not rock up.
for your appointment, don't miss it. Here in the US, they now charge you fee if you don't show up with legitimate reasons.
Completely out of your post but my doctor recommended me to drink one glass of red wine and it is good for the heart and eat plenty of red colored fruits and veggies..
I have never missed a doctor's appointment so I cannot say for certain, but I was under the impression that they'd charge you in any way.
A long time ago I had a blog deleted by the mods for being improper. Though the topic was radical, I did not think it improper. I've seen much worse blogs survive.
I suppose a few complained about the topic. It had more than 100 comments at the time. When I re-posted it about two years later, it did well again and that time it was not deleted.
It all depends on the audience; who is upset with you at the time and how many friends he can influence to complain.
I don't like to re-post the blog as it was. I prefer doing a remake of the blog. One's views change with time and the new blog should reflect your current views.
I second your doctor's advice!
DC is still mad about the cupcakes you "borrowed" and didn't repay!
Partners-in-crime, the two of you
I think we've given her enough grace. It's time to visit that warehouse again.
