Toxic People
Toxic people speak badly about others, are negative, lack compassion, take up way too much of your time, constantly have drama going on, lie to you, criticize you, talk more than they listen, play the victim, lose their temper, have to be right, treat others poorly, are self-obsessed, try to control you, have addiction issues. (Sue Fitzmaurice).Seems to me that there are a lot of toxic or borderline toxic people about, I'm not sure if it's insanity or drugs or just people who moan and complain about everything and always have to have something medically wrong.
(This is not aimed at anyone here on CS but we all know someone toxic)

Oscar wilde also said “I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying.”
For example, lose their temper- pretty much everyone loses their temper at some time, the real question might be is the reason for losing it justified?
Self-obsessed... Is somebody who spends a lot of time doing their hair and make up self obsessed, or are they just getting ready?
But yeah with you on the constant health issues, personally I see it as a sign they dont have a lot to say and have no great interest in exercise (usually health issue prevents any form of exercise).
Pat, The issue with people who have to have something wrong with them is becoming more common, It's more hypochondria and people who get a splinter in their finger google stuff and decide they have a serious kidney complaint.
I don't know who said you were too serious, and if they did, they haven't read your blogs.
Anyways, I avoid negative and toxic people like the plague.
I use a pest repellant (ozone friendly)

Molly, Toxics will either know they are or dont, but being too high and mighty in their own minds is the issue, Most wont know until they talk to someone, listen to a rant at the Altar or rush off to a hospital to say goodbye to an old friend who is dying to find they stubbed their pinky toe.
Maybe they are simply humans who wanted to see how it would go. Could see after a while there was no future, and bade their goodbyes rapidly.
Maybe it is the person scorned who has the issues?
It isn't always somebody else's fault.
