Want/need
Do you want or need a man in your life? Why do men feel like they have been insulted when I say I want a man in my life but don't need one? Surely they would be happy that I was with them because I wanted to be with them and not because I needed to be.

I don't need a man to cook, iron, clean etc.
I can and have done all those things myself.
But
I want a man to do that for me, while I flirt with cs men.

There are just some things that I don't enjoy doing alone.
Many people need to be wanted and needed. I wouldn't have married my wife if I felt she didn't need me. I wouldn't have felt "special" to her.
If you really, really like a man, and got that response from him, how secure would you feel if you wanted a marriage with him?
Maybe you'd feel completely secure, but for most of us 'mere mortals', security in a relationship involved more than just being wanted - being needed takes the intimacy to the next level. And that, I feel, is where the magic happens.....

I may need the individual when he is part of my life. But I don't need the concept of a man. There's a difference.
