Jeepers, that is exactly why good people should be able to own guns too. The thugs can get guns from anywhere, even shipped in the mail from over seas, but the good guys who can't own guns will be always easy targets. To even the odds, the good must have the ability to defend themselves as well. When the police are even afraid in a place that has guns banned and the thugs only own guns, that shows you that gun bans never work and only the good people are punished both by the laws of gun bans and by the system as they are victims to the thugs.

If I had to live in such a place, I would still get a gun. Illegal or not, I would own a gun. I believe in even odds and the ability to protect myself and any future family I have.

When I was in Canada about 5 years ago a guy drove up next to me and asked if wanted to buy a gun. I said what do you have? He opened the trunk and it was filled with pistols and some assualt rifles, I asked where they came from since some were full auto and he said they came from Iraq and Afghanistan. So if he can get guns from there to Canada, what good are gun bans when you can get guns from anywhere else? Anyway, I didnt buy the gun in Canada because I would have had to get it across the border, but I already had guns of my own sitting back at home.

Now, how easy is it to get a gun? Just a matter of finding the right sources who knows how to get them into the country. criminals have all the right connections to getting a gun, but the good people are out in the cold in canada. I am just glad I don't live there.

As for alarms, alarms are useless where I live, it would take the police an hour to reach my home. A gun is the only defense system where I live in case of those types of emergencies.

Damn... looks like I have been missing out on one of my favorite subjects.... I have a lot of reading ahead of me....

I am pro gun and pro second amendment.... if you didn't know by now.

Why is it that the antis always tell us we can't have them and the pros say you don't have to have them? Sounds like..... well I better be nice.

There is nothing wrong with alarm systems.... it tells the police where to find your body and keeps the corps from stinking up the house so it can be sold again.

Ridge138: I ask that everyone only post their views on the subject, and remember to respect each other. I'm pro-firearms,I don't own them for hunting and target shooting alone,I own them for defense of my life,my rights, and my country. Anyone else a gun owner?

I'm Pro.
