he sold most and gave his mother the hand guns..

Really if you knew the story it was much safer out of his hands..

He knew by having them would not be a nice story at the end..

So really he made up his mind to get rid of them not me by making him to do so..

we talked about the pros and cons..and he seen that it would be much safer for the world if he gotten rid of them

OOOH yes I had to grab mine just as it was running out the door to shoot someone . A great percentage of all gun crimes are committed by Illeagle guns and Criminals . I personaly know of several cases were the person would have been dead without haveing home protection . hug

I can see both sides, but the bottom line is this: How do you expect a single mother or elderly person to defend themselves in the middle of the night, when a (likely armed) robber is in their house? Unless they're an expert knife-thrower from long distance, they'll need a gun. In a country as big as the US with thousands of miles of porous borders, even if you ban guns, think the criminals will obey by the law? NO.

I respect anyone that thinks he can't handle a gun to get rid of it , I would also reccommend mental health if you a person that use them wrong get all the help you need . I was at a facility where a person came in shooting . Luckly there were armed people there to stop him

Whilst i am anti guns and can debate all u gun owners into the ground, i have garnered an appreciation of the more complex reasons as to why americans hold guns near to their national identitywine

kissmedeeply: Yeh but if there were no guns then no trigger will be pulled

But violence wouldn't drop at all, because people still have fists feet, knives, clubs, steel pipes, automobiles, lighters&aerosol Cans (Instant flamethrower),axes,Explosives, heavy equipment, and rocks (Not very refined but effective if used properly),I could go on but the possibilities are endless, because humans are pretty inventive at figuring out how to off each other (Just look through our history for an example).

True Gun Violence could go away but we are still left with a more brutal form of violence.

And at that point the balance of power swings heavily to the aggressor in most cases.

What chances would you give a small framed woman going up against someone much bigger, stronger, and aggressive?

Who would round 1 go to in your mind?

Teach her how to use a firearm of her own, then put the two of them in the same scenario?

Now how does round 2 look?

I don't own a gun yet,but I'm in total agreement with you. I,too,am pro gun ownership for all of the reasons you've stated, although I feel that the most important reason is my right to defend myself. I will be moving to Florida in a few years, and when I'm there,I am going to purchase a handgun for my protection. It does appear that the criminals have them to use on us. I'd like to even up the playing field.

It's because we can and no other reason. Guns are not an identity, they are a tool.... I hate it when people make a solar system out of a grain of sand.

Yet you claim to have a gun of your own.... you better sleep with one eye open for your gun is going to kill you when you least expect it.
