Never said you were wrong for your opinions about not wanting firearms in your home, just the spreading of misinformation about Canadian firearms law, and the fact that guns don't kill people, people do.
Facts have no emotional attachment, they just are, opinions on the other hand, well....

But I still love my guns, and my guns have actually stopped someone breaking into my house without killing them.
A friend asked me once why I keep my guns loaded and I replied: Because they don't work when they aren't loaded. He then asked me if I was afraid of someone breaking in or expecting it, and I said: No...nor am I afraid or expecting my house to burn down, but I still have fire insurance.
Guns just need respect. My guns are not out, no child could ever get them in their hands and no one touches them but me.

Well i have an alarm system..
and no how to protect my family without using guns..
but each to their own..
People here know we have a alarm system..so really i dont think anyone is going to break in..

Five of my best friends had an alarm system in LA when I lived there. They are dead; were shot and killed in their home (they all lived together in a house) by a burglar. By the time there was a response to the alarm (and this was a top rated alarm system that telephones the police), all my friends were dead. I think I will stick to my guns.

As i said before..burgular comes in..you shoot..you kill..
or injure..who ends up behind bars..You do..
A guy i knew..a burglar came into his house..and he didnt use a gun..but use a bat..and the guy that used the bat was arrested in put in jail..the other guy off scott free..

Out here in the Caribbean it is very difficult to get a gun, along with a permit to have one....unless you're a thug ! They are the ones with guns here. Lately there has been at least one person a day killed, innocent people being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even the police are afraid for there life here. I am all for gun rights, but it just doesn't work right here.

If a guy breaks into my house again and tries to hurt me or those close to me, I hope they die when I shoot them. Yes, I will absolutely kill someone who is threatening to kill me or those close to me.
That is just how I feel. I want to be on a level playing field if someone is threatening me with a gun. A bat just wouldn't do it in some circumstances. Thank God it worked for your friend and that you live in a very safe place.

I also understand your point of view. Nothing wrong with that and I hope and pray no one has to experience a death in the family that is firearm related.
I only take issue when people who don't like guns try to impose their beliefs on others. I am all about freedom. Freedom to have your opinion and freedom for me to have mine. I think I get where you are coming from and I appreciate when you stated that you don't care who owns guns, you are just against them (that is paraphrasing and I probably got it wrong).
