The problem is that they always fall in the wrong hands and even good people with good intent can make a mistake and that's one you cannot say I'm sorry. You also have people with bad tempers and drunken hunters, children in some homes etc etc. Retired NYPD

I own a few, handguns, rifles and shotguns.

Venison is the leanest(healthier) meat can get. Of course, I haven't hunted in a couple of years as I have no idea where to go and don't know anyone who does down here in NC.

You're right, no trigger would be pulled. But knives, clubs, ropes, hands, etc. would be pulled. If someone wants to kill someone it'll get done. So whatcha get'n at??

you know what is really ironic and intersting dear? with some rare exceptions, a gun owner will have to defend him/herself from another gun owner just like him most of the time! so the irony is a gunowner is viciously defending another gun owner to hold a gun..the very same gun owner who would probably take his/her arms against him/herself.

They do fall into the wrong hands but not always. You can also use the same verbage and relate it to an automobile. Either of these two things (Cars or guns) in the wrong hands can lead to potential disaster. I guess we have to ask ourselves are we so inept as a species or society that we have to have useful things taken away by our government in order to protect us from ourselves. I would think the answer would be no.

Da10th: We have a well regulated militia in the National Guard. They have the same weaponry that the federal army has.

laugh That's true. The National Guard is an established militia. conversing But the intent of the Constitution was to call to arms all it's citizens, not just a few.

if there were no people no triggers would be pulled either.... but then again we all know that's not gonna happen..... and neither is for guns to suddenly disappear.... so i guess we are stuck... we either live in a fantasy world of "what ifs" or live in reality with "what is"....

doh
