I agree. Altho i own a .22 shotgun for farm purposes, when threatened on my property once, a big ol wrench did the trick.

The reality of gun ownership is almost a given in America. The type of gun is a different story. Rifles and shotguns are in every pickup in Oregon. Backwards? Maybe, but I'd rather be backwards than eaten by a bear.

I do not own a gun. I understand the right to bear arms. Personally I am not educated enough to be around one. Also where I live I do not see any reason for a gun.

I have literally run into bears in the street at nite walking here........ never have they even hurt a dog let alone a human here . More likely to be run over by a drunk .......

I think a nice little bottle of pepper-spray is a great substitute for a handgun .....one just needs to think about which way the wind is blowing before using it ......
