As ive already alluded to the crux of the problem has always been the powers that be in america and their limitless support of israel througout the years through billions of dollars in arms to Israel that have murdered thousands of men women and children.
Israel is seen as being of such a startegic importance to the USA that in my respects they get a free regin to do whatever they please to protect their interests in the middle east.

We are but a few hundreds of kilometers away from the Middle East.....so we are not subjected to the US influence or media like may be....we are Europeans, and tend to think slightly different on the matter....
Yes, I know not only the story behind Hamas, where they came from and what they are, I also know that in effect if it weren't for the organizational network that Hamas has in the Gaza strip, life for the average man in the street could possibly be worst.....
BUT....and there is a big BUT in this issue, so long as Hamas keeps insisting on the eradication of Israel, and keeps on brainwashing children into hating even the word Jew, to the extent of promising eternal bliss in heaven for blowing themselves up so long as they kill Jews.....
Elected or not, that makes them a danger not only to Jews, but to society itself. Israel is a democracy.....it exists and is real, and as far as I am concerned, no, I will never accept your stand or that of Hamas that Israel must be eradicated.
Israel is the front line of defense for the West from elements that if powerful enough would not only jeopardize the stability of the Mediterranean, but also that of the entire European continent.

Its a perfectly natural human reaction to hate your neighbour if he shoots your brother your father your mother. The question is whats causing them to feel this hate??
Hating someone or something is a horrible horrible thing but whats causing this hate? will the 'defence' of Israel in the last few days murdering over 400 people sofar assuage any negative feelings that future generations will have ???

Oh well, if someone comes into my house and take my wife, kids and house, then i will have to do what i have to do. Nobody should be allowed to mess up with my family. That is a basic human right.
Having said that, the world would be way better place if people learned to live peaceful among each other.

If I had to be living in one of the villages of the Negev, and out of the blue, Hamas decide to break an internationally arranged and approve truce, and start shooting rockets on my village, yes, I would expect my government to go and blow up the areas that the rockets are coming from.
It is a choice of Hamas to do so within the civilian zones of Gaza.

The only thing Israel has been very successful in doing is radicalizing a new generation and i doubt very much that the children of gaza will have to be thought very hard to hate Israel actions speak louder then words in most cases

Blockade is an act of war...or is it just that they think they can give pieces of land to the Palestinians in order to make them shut up but in the meantime they still think they can do whatever they want with those territories.

Ok have a good lunch. I have followed your opinions here and I did not intend saying that it is your humdrum beating my ears exactly, but you also put Hamas as plainly terrorist and all that. Hamas may have been making very bad mistakes and damaging the Palestinian cause, but to put it as plainly terrorist or truce-breaker is just what the Israeli gov says. It is just their version. I am just asking for the whole version if you or other people that only criticised Hamas have. OK got something in the microwave so got a few more minutes....
I was one of the first on this Island to carry the black and white chequered (forgive my lapse of memory...but forgot the correct term) 'kaftan' round my neck as a sign of protest on the violation of the palestinian rights in the Middle East. Late seventies this was. People used to refer to me as the crazy guy with a blanket wraped round his neck.
My country was one of the first to publicly denounce atrocities perpetuated by the Israeli state in confrontation of this people.
However, I will continue to state that I will never condone a group that states as it's main item on the agenda, the eradication of a free and democratic state, just as much as I would not condone anybody doing that even to the US...which in my mkind is the foremost state that is guilty of committing crimes against humanity globally.
That is not the way to go.
Yes, teaching children to carry arms and get them used to wearing vests of explosives and blow themselves up is a terrorist act, not in the political sense, but for humanity itself.
It is vile, it goes against everything that I believe in and fight for. Injustice has to be achieved by different means.
And Hamas is doing exactly that.
