SophieDarin: I never said that Hamas represents Palestina. But Israel has also the right to live steadly within a country. And if u consider that Israel is expansionist in any way whatsoever, just have a look in the middle east how much of the territories are arab how much are hebrew.
I didn't say Israelis were expansionists... but they were settlers, right? I admit many of the Jews now in Israel moved there from Lebanon, Syria and other countries...but that was after the State of Israel was created, and after many Jews from around the world moved there. Your exact words were "And if u consider that Israel is expansionist in any way whatsoever, just have a look in the middle east how much of the territories are arab how much are hebrew" so let me get this straight...it's the arabs' fault that they are arabs? the people now called arabs were initially Pheonecians, Cannanites, and so on. These people have been there for a very very long time and gradually got sectioned off into countries. Yes most of the Middle East is arab, so what, it's not like they are trying to expand onto other territories. You want to blame someone for the area blame the Ottomans, the cruisaders, and all the other nations that ruled there and drew the borders... its insane to think that the Arab states are trying to overpower the Israeli one, when they have been there much much longer, and they are not trying to expand into Israeli territories. Back on the expansion issue you brought up, what do u think of the Israel-occupied arab territories (excluding palestine), there's the south of Lebanon and the Golan heights to name a few. and if these weren't "occupied" then they would have been settled by Israelis, and they would not be the bait for peace-treaties. Again, I am against Hamas and their attacks, because they do random acts of terrorism in the name of freedom, and yes Israel has the right to defend itself and keep its civilians safe, but to what extent? this is bordering on slaughter... The entire world is begging for a cease-fire and all the US president can tell the Israelis is " be mindful of civilians"!!!!!!!!!!!
Sophie, I have no quarrels with u, but there are facts that just have to be stated objectively... Peace
For anybody who is really interested to see a very well balanced and objective view of the entire affair at least up to yesterday, I suggest you watch the following feature:
arranroot: I have not read all this post but I dont need to, I know no Jews but if any ever move into my neighbour hood they will not last long. I have no problem tormenting innocent Jews in support of innocent Palestinians. Also I know no Palestinians but I dont need to know any to know who is right and who is wrong. Will America ever stop supporting and financing terrorism? Simply answer = no. Israel is an American state and America loves to finance terrorists. To hell with Israel and the Jews. Who killed Jesus? The Jews.
i stand for your honesty sir , who killed Jesus ?! the Jews !
Conrad73: The Stinking Romans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!History 101!!!!!!!!!!
um if we really want to get technical here... the romans gave the Jews a choice, kill Jesus or Barabus... the Jews chose to kill Jesus...yes the Romans performed the act, but the Jews turned him in, and they chose to free the criminal and kill Jesus...that's just technically, history 100

No historical Evidence for that at all! After all,the Romans couldn't run Christianity as State Religion, and at the same time being seen as having killed their own Savior! Not very effective. And Crucifixion WAS a Roman Punishment!
Cairo appears to be the crossroads of major diplomatic efforts to stop the carnage.
An EU delegation led by Commissioner Solana and made up of the three amabassadors fo France, Chech Rep. and Sweden are flying out for talks.
It is also reported that a Hamas delegation has accepted the Egyptian invitation for talks in Cairo.
Meantime, French President Nicolas Sarkosy will today arrive in Cairo for talks, before embarking on a tour that will take him to Israel, Lebanon and Damascus in Syria, where he is expected to meet President Assan.
Meantime, the border between Egypt and Gaza remains closed in Rafa. Ambulances are driving the wounded to the border where they are then being transferred to Egyptian hospitals, but no supplies of any kind are being allowed to go trough.
Russia has also started it's own diplomatic effort and President Mediedev has set up a Task Force to get into action to try and negotiate some form of cease fire in the area.
It is unfortunate to note however, that Israel has declined Russia's invitation. Diplomatic relations between the two countries are however defined as excellent by both parties.
Russia's intervention is crucial to any form of accord in the Middle east, one, due to the country having more then 25,0000 muslims within it's own borders, and also because of the influence that Russia has on Iran.
later on today we should see the UN Security Council meeting once again on the matter. It is unfortunate however, that there is a veto being presently imposed by the US which is making the Secuirty Council ineffective in this matter.
I did say the romans performed the act, didn't i? I know crucifixion was a roman punishment. and back then romans were "pagans", there was no religion called Christianity until after Jesus was killed and rose again... the Romans were just trying to pacify the Jews. BTW, I am totally against the 2 posts that said that about Jews killing Jesus... any self respecting Christian knows that the killing of Christ was part of God's plan, just as His teachings were about love and forgiveness. also, this has nothing to do with religion, not all Israelis are Jews, not all arabs are Muslims.... Respect all religions, politicians are a different story...
nora83: i stand for your honesty sir , who killed Jesus ?! the Jews !
no norah pontius pilate that made the decision to have jesus killed...he was roman, and the orders were made by the romans, not the jewish...........also even if that was the case that the jews did kill jesus, islam does not follow the teachings of jesus, so why on earth would they feel the need to defend his death? now if it were mohammed, i could understand

romanticman4u: So you say that Israel should reward terroristic behavior by giving up more land to Palestine, are you Daft woman..lmao, that would give Hamas more land to work thier attacks, Hamas will never quit, they broke the peace treaty that is current, why do you think giving them more would change things..its a bad idea, I say Israel should invest in a huge can of Raid, then open that can of whoopass..

I have read all the last ten pages from where I left off yesterday...and I have seen more hate then hope.
Let' stop the shouting for a bit.
Let's kill the cacophony of noise being emitted by all and sundry.
And in the silence of our souls........remember......
Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
