Rains Under the Storm

Rains Under the Storm

Just a thought of the day as I put it to another write. I am sure you all have heard on the news that Illinois was hit with a bad storm on 11/17th/2013 well this is also the town where my young child is at rest since 2007 when he was age 20 who would be turning 27 this next coming month and this same town where his grave & marker is was hit so bad and my thoughts went into another write today.

You lost little flower in wild happiness

You lost little flower in wild happiness.

I did this today. It made me feel a little bit lonely while i was writing it, well maybe i'm just a lonely person after all. But i always say to myself every day: I'm happy! So i am and i feel happy most of the time. I wonder if there is a bit of happinees in lonelyness??? I like the possibility that the flower has in the poem, to have the day always around it. Life is day and night. Everybody must rest sometime. Why does the flower have to stay up and does it not need to sleep? It has already built the nest, it still is lost in wild happyness. I could write more here but i wanted it to be just a simple poem but when i think about it..it isn't. With hope you like it :) Foxyfairy.

A Flower - Children's Poem

I wrote this poem for my nephew's eight year old daughter to encourage her to write poetry. She has an excellent command of English at her age. Writing this made me recall some of the poems I learned at school as a child. I hope I have succeeded, at least to some extent, in capturing the innocence and joyful feeling of childhood. I also hope it would bring out the child in some of you; I would like your comments from such a perspective since this is a children's poem. Or perhaps you can share it with children, get their comments and post them. Thank you!

Guardian Of The Environment

I have always admired the way of life of the Native American Indians living in harmony with Nature before the advent of the Europeans. By extension, this applies to all indigenous peoples including the Amerindians and Polynesians. This piece is dedicated to them. Poetic Prose
