What is Real?

Does anybody care?
What ever happened to a touch?
Feelings no one wants to share!
Holding hands use to mean so much!

Now with the cell phone,
You can find a cyber mate
your very own dream date!
Yet, still feel so much alone.

Guess time has made me cold,
no one is beside me.
I am getting old!
Alone is not how I want to be.

To poor to go to te bars,
can not afford a date site!
Free to stare at te stars!
Alone again for another night.

Tomorrow I will walk to work
knowing I am alive!
Just trying to survive,
being treated like a jerk!

Morning Dew

at my feet,
prisms of dew splash the ground cover before me...
potential composite rainbows of light within each drop... a majestic microcosm of
their sky-clad kin.

...the drops of pure moisture are as sweet nectar to the marsh rabbits and fairies that inhabit these woods...
cold dampness permeates my clothing, but it will disipate soon with the coming of
the morning sun.

...the clang of pots and pans behind me, a reminder of the breakfast that must soon come.

...inhaling deeply the moist air about me, I break the new silence with a heavy exhalation...
stirring some grouse nearby.

a newness seems to frame the morning air... interlaced with the bitter-sweet smell of campfire coffee...a still moment precedes another still moment...

i ask myself, "do you think this can be real"?

I taste the fresh brewed coffee....and conclude that this must be real, as I am certain a phantasm
would surely taste better than this!

A Day at the Office

Like sap burns from the Ivy,
this day lingers long...the jesters pointing their fingers...
and the coward singing his song....
But I need to rest and leave all of this behind,
as my nerves are a mess,
and peace just leaves more to grind.

My River ( a distant glance)

Three miles down...You make it look so easy.
White caps meandering slowly through crook and cranny.
Like you, my course is fast and slow.
You share your white, frothy cascades...
and I share my solitude.

Your angry charge of the riverbank hastens my pace....
as the geese scatter and scold me for my rude interruptions...
your churning voice speaks to me -
with distinction and charm.
I can't keep your pace...and you must still move on.

A leaf benignly mimics each of my steps...
chasing away the distance as though teasing me.
Lingering nearby ...you lend me your peace,
as I search for my own.

The day passes...now the course must end.
The Sun leaves its remnants of light,
just enough for my steps to be sure...
an hour and a moment of insight,
tis' why I come here...
always enraptured by your mystical allure.

About this poem:
A "conversation" I once had while running next to "my river"...
Conversation with whom? Well, it swells of pantheism,
but a conversation with the river. Just one of those days.

What is Pain ? ? ?

We all know pain
it comes in many forms
there is good pain
that leads to nice results
then there are the bad pains
that can rip us apart
no matter which one experienced
one sure thing pain is always pain
nicer pains are things that bring
a good result, a nice outcome
the momentary pain of a virgin
usually then followed by pleasure
the hard searing labour of child birth
the delight and joy of holding your baby
the minor pains like a scraped knee
the sting of a bee, scratch of a rose
then there are the really bad pains
the terrible pain of rape and its aftermath
the feeling of being dirty where there's no blame
no shame just something carried on forever
the pain of being shot or stabbed even killed
the surgery to save a life the stitches pulling
the grief and pain of losing a loved one
so many different pains to face
each one needs to be handled differently
what ever pain you suffer remember this
you do not need to face it alone

Knights of Yore

A story I have to tell of days of yore
when knights were brave heroes
and fought to save distressed damsels
from the hands of their ravishers

One such knight was Sir Fight Alot
with his silver armour all a glitter
he rode a mighty fiery white steed
who puffed out white smoke when excited

Many were the noble deeds he had done
everywhere he went damsels kissed his hand
or told him of another who needed his help
quickly to steed and off to save the poor soul

Now he had heard of a great tournament
he headed there, what a sight it was
hundreds of people in the pavilions
horses, knights and their squires

Feverishly getting ready to joust
he entered his name on the list
now he needed a lady's colours
to wear on his arm showing her favour

He looked at the royal pavilion
there she sat in her splendor
humbly he approached her
he asked for her favour it was freely given

Light of heart he entered the jousting field
looking at the other end he saw his rival
head to foot covered in brilliant dazzling red
bright chestnut was his raging screaming steed

The other knight a most monstrous man
they lined up Sir Fight Alot all a tremble
this had to be the toughest test of his life
the pennant fell they flew down the line

A humongous crash as they met together
lance broken Sir Fight A Lot takes a mace
back down they fly blows ringing out
one knight down de-horsed and stunned

Bravely he struggles to his feet as the fiend
dismounts and swirls his enormous sword
many blows they exchange none winning
at last with a timed thrust our knight wins

Aah, what does he win? Why the damsel's hand
that was the prize all along, the king's daughter
with trembling knees he approaches the king
well fought Sir Fight Alot and places her hand in his

She blushes most charmingly as he smiles at her
a great feast full of rejoicing they held that night
Sir Fight Alot had won his bride he now pledged
to always keep her save cherished and loved

and so ends our gallant knights story

No Power Over Her!

You're no God to her.

How dare you swoop from above with your mighty wings
Cocooned in your own beguiling words!
You? You're no King of Kings to her!

How dare you deceive her who bled so deeply, making her believe again?
And how dare you judge her? Her whom was sent to Hell and back -
You? You're no God to her!

How dare you not believe in her when she entrusted her very soul to you? -
Letting her bleed through your disbelief and fear of new beginnings -
You? You're no Master to her!

How dare you suppose your own imperfections to be of lesser magnitude than hers?
How dare you threaten her with prosecution when she can come to no harm! -
You? You're no Deity to her!

How dare you not think of her as a path which remains wide open?
As she has not lost her faith and trust in you -
Because....You are All to Her!

And thee cant found wounds,By whom and which knives.
But only thee love can put,And things all with Same....

But regrets still found thee,And same ask hide past....
And by all mean still go with,All not same,in world vast.
But was wrong with feel same,Each one try to hold Neck....
And was all set leave all hope,Thought of thou brought back.

Every one rights to love

We all love to consider,By one heart, all except....
And in return from one,We only get,you are rest.
why in love all such get, feel are not enough cared....
The one awaits from long, just has been taken as mered.

But one should always go for,May you meet awaited all....
Do not wait, when one knock,Just being greedy and tall.
For what has come upto you,May pass from, and feel sorry....
And after blame only thyself, one was send to end Worrys.
