You should be all in
in most that you do.
I think living in grey,
is like swimming in stew.
One card in a hand
makes you first or last.
If you get a bad beat
let it slip to the past.
Hold most of your hands
close to your vest
put all that you play
to the ultimate test.
Dont be bluffed so easy,
have guts to the end.
Life much to easy,
might not be your best friend.
Be confient always,
even when you make a mistake.
Always work hardest,
to claim your own stake.
be true to yourself, and never be fake

I am a deep thinker,
I think anyway.
Think when I work,
as much when I play.
I think when I wake,
till the end of the day,
I always plan,
On the very next day.
I think of very many things,
I think alot is so funny.
Alot about people and thier little rings
How to make thier days sunny.
I think if we all thought of others,
thier kids, sisters and brothers,
but especiallymore of fathers and mothers.
We cold all get along and get our druthers.
I have met a few
that say I think to much
then I think to myself
you should never think such.
I think to help others.
and those who dont.
I aslo find it hardest
for those who just won't.

As I listen to the symphony
The ripple of arpeggios against
Peel of drums and trumpets
Cellos and violins impart
Undulating waves of sound
I can imagine colour weaving
their patterns in refrain
angels glide though pillars of light
in choreographed flight
lightening flashes to the brass
rainbows flicker against deep violet
crimson and magenta
as the notes fade
in throbbing
pulses of gold.

Flowers kiss the bees
Oceans kiss the seas
Long hair kiss the breeze
Will you not kiss me ?
Morning kiss the night
Enemies kiss their fights
Darkness kiss the light
Let me hold you tight
Husbands kiss their wives
Four plus one is five
Divers kiss their dives
When will you be mine?
Newscasters kissing tigers
While sleeping with bears
I will have neither
Nor do I really care

Liquid Lines with Richard Lamoureux
His few liquid lines on solitary page
Lessons he's learned
Revealed with age
He is unsure if he should let them go
Yet onto the page they start to flow
They drip towards her
They call the Shadow
Beyond his reach
To another's mind
Within his words what will she find
It seems so hard
To lose control
Releasing a part of his inner soul
She accepts his gift
His words held within her hand
They are now hers
She takes command
If he lets her he will understand
Words create the shape of her mystical land
Losing control will help set him free
It's her path but their journey
Secrets to share and places to see
The thing about liquid
It can flow both ways
Shadow to light
Night to day
From her mind back to his own
Connected together they don't feel alone
Mystical discovery metaphorical hand
They bridge the distance they both understand
Led to her world of mystery
A blend of excitement some insanity
She offers strength with words she sings
These are but a few of the gifts she brings
Wondrous images sacred to her
Cause his rigid lines to begin to blur
Serenity and peace his spirit free
Within her Shadow she lets him be
Their minds now joined by silken strands
Strong and elegant she understands
A Shadowlam production.
Brought to you by Shadow Hamilton
and Richard Lamoureux.
Thank you Richard for your liquid lines
and for letting me join in the fun of cobbling
it together with you. It is a pleasure and honour
to write with you.

I like to cook
and I like to bake
Some will think
that Im a real flake
But I'll tell you this
when you hear me play
You will say no_way !
I like to rock
and i like to roll
and I might as well be
30 years old
But age is a number
and a number does count.
Because wisdom is old,
and earned on accont.

Drifting endlessly,
On waves of dreams, on rivers, on streams,
Steered by currents unperceived,
So relieved, yet so deceived.
Content in sounds of winds that weep.
That weep.
Content in sounds of sleep.
In sleep,
You find you can believe,
So relieved, yet so deceived.
Your mind plays host to your own being,
So alien and so unseen.
Unseen because you can't conceive,
It's just a dream.
You've been deceived.

may our footfalls carry us tandem friends
ever fenced only by beginning and end
green fields of forever lie before us and we are a great sythe
never to reach an end to our thrashing, thus never to die
though be of deep golden grain or lush valley clover
sweet bounty will fill as our sate uncapths over
with no predilection of path, we’ll leave no trail
any thought of intercept could never prevail
for long ago caution was tossed overboard
we’re of no hesitation to fall on our sword
preservation lends itself only to thrive as free
without that, it’s no place for you and me
as loose of all rein was ever our vow
no past and no future, our destiny now
but we’ve become twisted, racing to unwind
we sought to have all, leaving nothing behind
as there is no beginning, there can be no end
our wiles may but lead to a land of pretend
that has captured and held us with nothing to gain
only ending up leaving us life without aim
