Mixed up thoughts

Mix your thoughts
All jumbled up
Life's body grows from seed to dust
From youth to adults we gather are thoughts
Who are we why we here where we going we do not know
On are sole journey
Full of life highs and lows
We battle are thoughts
Are dreams are thoughts
On are journey are independent life

Rattler

you shook rattled and rolled me when I smelled your sweet perfume
you brought me some happiness and took away my gloom
you entertain me when my thoughts are wrong
when I see you, you tell me to hit that rattle snaking bong
you take me on a trip that I never forget
you put thoughts in my head and that when you said
its time to rap a rhythm off the top of your head
out the words poured with hardly a thought
and that is when I realized exactly what I got
the gift of writing words in a big crazy mess
but after I have tasted you is when I write the best
so out the words poured one after another
the hardest part is just putting the words together
in any form or fashion the words can be put
so when it is all said and done they will go in a book!

About this poem:
In a depressed state of mind, this poem came to me faster than any poem I have ever written in my life. the words litterally popped out of my head faster than I could write them.

The Arctic Tern

The arctic tern wheels the sky;
All the lonely Summer through;
Sailing on the sleety wind;-
And most accurate his view.

In fields of desolation;
Of white and polar caps,
Seals lie lazy on the rocks,
And whales beneath, perhaps.

Though lonely is the tern;
The world grows ever warmer,
As meridians he turns,
Habitat grows ever smaller.

Yes, lonely is the tern;
Skwarking cranneries on cliffs,
Cruising on the eddies;
Thermals now the tern uplifts.

Looking at the wide blue ocean;
And with that bird's eye view,
He cares not for Man's commotion;
Just his ever-clear purview.

Alas! the graceful tern;
Who lives upon the wing;
Would wish for her return;
To write just one more thing.

Before the tern must face his long migration;-
To Southern parts across an endless sea;-
So she flies in my imagination;-
Safe travels;- seagull - wherever you may be.

Contrition

These sins of mine, persist with time, consisting of bad thoughts...
Then transfer to, actions untrue, just look what I have taught...
I brought truths not, then fought the fight, I ought not fight no more...
I might bring light, laced with pure dark... sick darkness I abhor...

At times it seems, serene in dreams, some dreams can open doors...
Revealing scenes, deep in between, these things should not be seen...
And while it's true, He suffered too, that I might suffer not...
Well I was taught, to be like Him...let me abide with You....

Remember Your Origins

As hard as it may seem to accept at first, we, along with various other lifeforms on Earth, actually are alien beings. Whenever one of us is alerted when we see a spaceship from outside of this world, the aliens piloting it most-likely are reacting the same way when seeing us as well. Its common for both of us to be in awe because of differently we may look and live. This tends to change our perception of what's outside of what we have come to call “the norm”, possibly making us more accepting of what's different and new. These kinds of changes inside of us are no different than if we travel to a new location on Earth, making us all strangers in strange lands.

Perhaps the aliens that visit Earth may be our ancient ancestors, and their possible reason for being here is to watch over their decendents like any good parent would. (Although there's no evidence to prove it,) the matter that was used to create Earth may have also been used to create their planets a very long time ago. It's possible that our solar system may have looked and functioned very differently as well. Try to imagine what they could've been like. What did our alien ancestors look like? How did they live? Were some of them more advanced than us or less? What were their planets like? If time machines were commonly used today, it'd be fascinating to travel back in time to get the answers to these kinds of questions, and experience what our ancestors' lives were like. Unfortunately, it's also possible that their planets had to die in order for Earth, and all of it's inhabitants, to be born.

After reading the above, you may develop a new appreciation for various types of lifeforms whether it be from Earth or the stars. Imagine how differently all of humanity would live or behave, most-likely for the better, when they realize they themselves are alien beings. Perhaps we'll finally find the answers to what it means to be human and finding our place in the universe. I'd imagine that once this mental transition takes full effect across the globe, humans will reduce their superficial differences to mere labels and stop judging others because of them. Thankfully with space exploration on the verge of existence, this realization will one day come upon us. Like many of you, I too can't wait for that dream to finally become a reality.

JOKESTER IN PINK

In the Labyrinth of Life,
One meets alot of queer folk,
Some will be straight,
Others will joke,

In their extreme,
They are called a Jokester,
Dressed in hot pink,
Stuck on life's lightning fast steep,
Roller Coaster

About this poem:
Kidding around is part of life. For some, however, that's all they ever do. Ever wanting to be the center of attention they become locked into a cycle of approval seeking that keeps them stuck. They never mature.

Reflection

Within the darkness of my reflection
I saw all my imperfections
Memories of my past flowed ever so fast
All became shadows among the waters
shallow
I took a walk within my deepest fears and I noticed my tears.
Through the dark waters of my soul
I felt I was falling in an eternal hole.
Trying to breathe always in panic I felt rather manic
Having no place to go forced to follow the flow
It felt for eternity for all I know.
Suddenly a small light pierced through the blackness of the night
As it grew larger there appeared to be an angel of light
Pure and beautiful was she in my sight
With silver wings ethereal and bright
She stretched out her hand as I reached for hers
She gently pulled me close to lift me so effortlessly as we both flew in a crimson sky.

High above the clouds there stood a temple covered in a shroud. I saw mountains and valleys below a river flowed but not too loud.
As we drew near to the temple I heard singing all around with such a beautiful sound.

I tried to ask the angel why she showed such mercy but, before I knew it I was taken into the temple while the shroud lifted magically off
as she led me to a loft.
I could see what seemed like all of the earth revealing it's beauty.
Suddenly out of cloud the glory of God shone like the sun
I could barely see it so brilliant bar none.

There all around him stood angels that seemed familiar as I began to realize they were every person I ever encountered while on earth.

From the time of my birth to the present I remembered all of the good and the hurt.
Every event, every good and bad experience, all the pain I caused and the joys great and small was quite overwhelming I asked for a moment to pause.

The angel who brought me simply smiled and assured me all is forgiven but, I had to learn to forgive.
The longer I continue to hold a grudge and project my anger everyone here in whom I love will be my judge.

The angel kissed me and I happened to wake up from what seemed like a dream. Yet, the realization hit me and I wanted to scream.
All I could do was cry wishing I could die.
Yet, that would only prove I still was unforgiving.
I knew what I had to do to start living.

For all in whom I know and knew and those who know me and those who choose to know. If we continue to hold onto our pain of regrets and anger of our past and not let go we all will eventually have to face it

STAY

Ever wonder what it would be like,
To hike,
The Appalachian Trail in late Autumn?
To sail the Seven Seas?
To travel through time?
To do whatever we please?

Temptation,
Yea desire,
To roam far from home,
To see the Wonders of the World,
To conquer all our fears,
Hit the bullseye every time,
To joyously fulfill all our years,

But wait,
Don't go.

Stay.
