To dream again

Oh to sleep and dream again
of gentle streams that never end
Golden forests glistening seas
speak their beauty effortlessly
Silver clouds drifting silently
as they sometimes rain their tears
to wash away our fears.
Summer breeze blows with ease
then ushers in autumn leaves
A winter chill and the first snow
upon the hill.
Seasons change to rearrange
and the earth continues its daily waltz
while the sun just stares and all her children
bow to her warmth and light as she sits upon her regal
chair.
The hills and valleys sing as the mountains tend to ring
Nature fears nothing for it has no ego to protect
She is absolutely perfect.
So sad to say for the day that Adama was introduced with
perfect intent see how he lives in torment.
Paradise lost at a terrible cost.
Yes to dream again just once more of how
things could be but now seems to be just a dream.

About this poem:
If I get one more response that my thoughts are poignant perhaps it is my observation of the world as I understand it. When I see the chaos of what people today have made for themselves I must remind myself in-between the shallow endearments lies the sickness so many tend to embrace. Yet the earth shall continue long after I am gone.

Love Roulette

'Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, we're so glad you could attend, come inside, come inside...'- ELP, Karn Evel 9, 1st Impression, Pt 2,1973

There is a Casino hopeful souls attend,
Seven million souls all looking for
Something
Or someone

'Place your bets and take a chance;
-Another spin coming soon'
A voice does say

The spin is taken;
Many lose
A few fortunate ones
Shout for joy
And leave the Casino
Arm-in-armTheir chips cashed in
Happy at last
In love

The spins never end
The losers never stop playing
All wanting that one
Elusive win

With a lucky spin of hearts
So wild and high
They will never need to return
To this casino
Of lost souls

All looking for love
In a World gone cold
With its own loneliness

A Stone Wall

A stone wall weathers with age
My number becomes more feint
A beginning more distant away
What makes a spirit finally rest
Still dressed in its Sunday best
See how time wears us down
So when a leaf falls to the ground
Slowly becoming dust turning brown
Perhaps erased by the sands of time
Endlessly shaping the ground
Just biding my time I guess
I think I’ll just hang around
Run a little while longer if I can
Separating who knows what from where
No hurry to be already gone

EXCITING

EXCITING

This life has been a mixture of
Deep rooted hate, entangled love,
A withered hand, a wrinkled glove,
But yet, somehow, exciting.

A streak of vanity and pride
That I have fought to cast aside
That my life may be well applied,
And even more exciting.

The tears I've shed for sorrow sake
Throughout my life could fill a lake,
But also tears of joy I'd make,
Because life was exciting.

Aware that it may not please God
When I think not before I trod,
And surely that does help to prod,
And make life more exciting.

I've built with no foundation laid
And paid the price for error made,
But God my execution stayed.
How thankful, and exciting.

A constant war to overcome
And rise above the filth and scum,
That I might help the lives of some
And make them more exciting.

I know not what's in store for me,
How I will spend eternity,
But this I know, it's sure to be
Abundant, and exciting.

THE GREAT ETHEREAL CONVERSATION

THE GREAT ETHEREAL CONVERSATION

In the mirror world of sleep
Lies the realm of our dreams
The ethereal world
That never sleeps

And there
Everyone talks
A million different people
And all your friend
A n endless conversation
Love
Compassion
And understanding

Always someone there
And never ignorance
Old faces
New faces
No need to fear
Or hurt
Everyone open
And mean what they say
Not just after your money
And an easy lay

No need to hide
Or build a wall
behind the veil
In the world of sleep
More alluring than
It's physical reflection
Then the dreams want you
More than the world
So begins the endless dream

About this poem:
A companion piece to 'the great silence of Earth'... it speaks of the 'mirror' world that the ethereal world of our dreams represents, where people talk for real, never abandon you, never are ignorant to you, and is our own personal paradise... and how, as one becomes older, the dreams become more alluring than the physical world, until, eventually, we choose not to return from the dreamscape world...

The Chase

Like an arrow from a bow,
our spirits split the skies above..

Dare we look back?
Freed from the superficial and the mundane,
We do not.

Are you with me my love?
Yes...you are.
I taste your kiss on my tongue.

The Moon dances on the puddles from
The evening rains..

Soon the pond will come alive and mete out rythyms
to complement her reflections on the water.

No longer alone...
You reach for my hand,
as I reach for yours...

Our shadows lose us in the night...
Perhaps some to tarry along.

The Moon Light lending the evening no promises ....
as the darkness give way to her resplendent Light.

We walk in step ...sometimes out.
But we walk together,
knowing we will never forsake one another to the chase.

Earths message to UFO's

Greetings to all you cosmic star travelers..
I've been elected by the human race
To communicate with your starship
Commander
You've been observing our race
For some 2 billion years now
I mean, what's the deal?
Aren't our cheeseburgers
Good enough for you cats?
Are you ashamed that
We still have to use
Toilet paper?
Chill out cosmic dude
We did come up
With E=mc 2
I mean, we're doin'
All the work
Give us an intergalactic
Break!
I snivel in earthling tears
As I write this spacetime
Lament
What did we ever do
To you?
If you're so advanced
Why didn't you help
Us throw Richard Nixon
Out of office on the
First day?
It's true.. we were spawned
In the Paleolithic period
And we are Homosapien
Erectus Billy Smith
For 250 million years
We laid back on a
Lilly pad in some
Swamp soup
We were evolutions
LSD trip
A million years from
Then some guy stood
Up and got h*rney
He realized at that
Moment he had a
p*nis and then the
Whole world was
Populated with a
Female of a different
Species

Five minutes later
We invented the
Cell phone but none
Of you crazy fools
Would answer the
Phone
You bastards!
It's not my fault!
I was only emptying
The trash when
You called
I do wish you would
Land someday
Give us your point
Of view..
Or is that politically
Incorrect?
Well, screw your
Technology
And all your Milky
Way politics
I have to use
The bathroom and
I have no toilet
Paper
Would you care to
Join me for
Dinner? Lol.

A love riddle

The time and life of a bishop
Lay wasted and defeated in the land of Egypt
She lost her mind and her mission
To a petty little thief from Zion

Across the sea in a far distance
Vexed by a confused seer at this vision
How can this event come to be
when nothing logical could explain or be reason.

Isn't the bishop of that land a Man?
How could it be that he is now a Woman?
And why must a thief be in this?
What cosmic cause for this to happen?

A puzzle beyond comprehension
Why must this play come to the seer's attention?
A mystery to unravel from it's spin
A tale beyond the understanding of mere humans

Is this about a woman's love stricken?
O an epic battle of good versus evil
Who in this plot is the real villan?
The thief,bishop or gifted seer.

There is more to this than what is given
A twist to this tale I present to you
The seer you see was once the thief's lover!!!
And now I leave you guessing the start and ending

To this simple tale of the seer, thief and bishop saga untold ....

No title

My latest poem is not my last,

I am complaisant but not complacent,

I am a bon vivant but not a non viveur,

Poets expresses in a peculiar way to a very particular group,

Meticulous is never scrupulous, careful nor painstaking,

One earth year and light year are identical,

Bullman horde is searching the ancient hoard,

An impracticable idea is not impracticable nor unpratical,

God's law is definite and his judgment is definitive,

There was continuous disruption on continual work,

A contemptible deal may receive a contemptuous answer,

A special request may be especially granted,

The premier made his premiere rally speech on the government political premise,

I will always think of you forever and keep you in my heart for ever,

Sandals on the sand

Unbridled bodies
Embraced by sunlight’s cloak
Kick discarded burger bags
Baring gifts for seagulls
Skimming over rocks,

Over breaking waves
Rising in the swell
Beyond the boats and jet skis,
Where herring-gull nest
Against chiselled faced cliffs.

As parents rest sun drenched
On outstretched tartan blankets
And children scream and run
Bewitched by chime bellowing
Chip and ice-cream vans,

Sandals on the sand
Casting silhouettes
Over elegant sandcastles
Built by soft gentle hands
And grandparents.
