Waiting Angel

Quietly an angel waits for you there
Can't you see the light glowing in the dark
Even if you don't show it lets be fair
You weren't serious I was just your lark

Stirring winds blowing bringing times of change
Rains have passed gentle winds blew clouds away
Once at a distance no longer feels strange
Tides keep moving back and forth changing days

In a distance standing tall solid ground
Fear is not mine determination claimed
Not to be crossed over I'll go around
To leave my imprint in the ground life stained

Giving up is what my angel waits for
Always with hope given she will wait more

About this poem:
When I was younger I felt so big and important. As if I was the whole world. With time that has passed by I have humbly learned that I play such a small part in this huge world. And everyday that is given to me I except the challenge to try and make it better than the day before.

Letter

A crumpled piece of paper on the ground
Envelope - distinctive look of letter
Waits expecting to be found
For times to change for better

A mindful walker passing by
Big of heart and swift of thought
Picks up the sheet only to descry
Words and poetry long sought

A patient page deprived of cover
Written in slowly fading ink
Fables about love and lover
Drawing up a world in pink

A new possessor being unaware
Her pocket keeping safe the chit
Neglects with viewings very rare
The tender notice of the writ

The _ _ _ _ _ _ Sonnet (LadyMorgana's Challenge)

I am the gaudy king of this blue sky
In search of a queen to bear upon my wing.
Pray come along to soar with me up high,
For but to thee my sonnet I shan't sing.

Majestic as the orchid when it blooms,
Exclusive colours complement my dress
Decked out for thee alone in splendid plumes
No lady save thyself designed to impress.

Within my kingdom everyone is guest
Who heeds mine own abode arboreal,
For only thee I welcome in my nest,
As such affairs are territorial.

Though captured when with freedom I must part,
I pine and mourn to die of broken heart.

About this poem:
Thanks again to LadyMorgana for the inspiration. The title should be fairly obvious anyway, but I'm still curious to see if it can be guessed from the poem.
The animal (or rather species) is not territorial at all except around its own 'home', the reason for which is its tendency to live a monogamous life with one chosen partner. Except for human interference as part of the exotic pet trade, it is a rather robust animal that - more than anything else - can die of a broken heart when held in solitary captivity, especially when removed from a previous partner.

Monsters

All the stars gone fallen from the sky
Darkness reins holding its head high
Sun trying but gives up cannot rise
Here is the grave where trust lies
I have taken what I came for but turn to look
As the monsters rose the ground shook
I am not afraid come after me if you dare
I will fight your evil by fighting fair
I knew not that I had crossed over into your space
It was to late when I seen you were two face
So sweet that honey dripped from your lips
But I seen traces of your other face when that one slip
You thought you had me in your keep
But I seen long ago you are just a creep
So be smart go back monsters into your lair
You see I have been waiting with time to prepare :-)
At a lift of my lips my sun did rise
And laying by trust was lies
My world would always remain bright
But your world is dark darker than night
So crawl back from whence you came
You want be missed and I'll still be the same

Ghosts

Each man is haunted by his own ghosts.
Some have more, some less than others do.
By no means should these ghosts be a judge of the man
But by how that man faces his ghosts,
Be they past or present.
Each ghost a man faces gives him a strength he never had.
Until he learns to let his ghosts teach him;
For, until he can do that; he is not a man:
He is merely a shadow of what he could be.

About this poem:
~~ Knew a lot of soldiers who were very broken from the things they saw and did in the line of duty... also for the many people ive spoken with over the decades who could not face their own ghosts and continued to hide until it killed them ~~
**** the font on this is deliberately set low to shade into the background to set ambience for the writing****

When the eagle flys

I fly the path of the eagle where
mortals dare not tread
I touch you in a moment of
time yet may vanish in the
wind
Spirit and fire lift my wings
to worlds yet unseen
Come with me lest I disappear
through lifes mystic golden
ring-

Palindrome Consciousness

Behind this window i stare at the small rain
imagining my whole body outside
and feel the water drops touched my skin
maybe the heat of this soul will go away soon

And then
looking up, to where the rain comes
blurring my eyes which trying to see clear
clouding personality which i want to state
and when the mist hit my mind
i stucked
enjoying my wet hands going up
swipe both of them to my face
with full hope gathering consciousness
and force myself to run inside
sitting and starring outside the window
back to imagining myself outside

it's just
i'm already wet
so my will contained

People say This

Today's a new day
so let's start a fresh
dancing and singing
to a new wor-ld

(People say this
people say that
words get twisted
this way and that)

churning and burning
laughing and dancing
spinning to-get-her
falling head over heel

(people)chorus

hoping and praying
for a new day a
listening and singing
turning and spinning

(people)chorus

heart in a spin in
not up nor down
loving and giving
of the new day a

(people say this
people say that
words get twisted
this way and that)

A piece of me

A treasure chest is opened
The key is hung around my
neck
Your reasonings have been
blackened by time
You said you were searching
for answers
You said, 'Give me peace..'
You said, 'The chains are to
strong..'
Who am I that I should make
atonement for your wretched
plight?
Yet, I relented
And in spite of an impossible
hope I pulled jewels from my
chest
Upon your shoulders I wrapped
you in a beggars comfort
Around your waist I tied you
to a goodly inheritance
I shod your feet with unparched
sands
And I thrust deep into my treasure
chest to find the golden ring whose
signet leads to the stairway to
heaven.

Dreams for sale. . . .

Selling a dream is easy,
Like building castle in the air,
A deal is the devil's game,
It never change just the name.

A film star must get naked,
Or the world will forget you existed,
Lawyers sell metaphorical misnomers,
To reach higher goals in life,
Doctors the biggest drug sellers,
Many have fallen into their traps.

I'll be hanged for exposing their lies ,
The system is in fact a pyramidical trap!
The all seeing eye is a spy,
Into your homes,schools and work,

Its easy to blame it on the money,
It can't stand up for itself,
And you surely can't stop using it,
Your dirty little secret is safe,
Just don't stir the hornets nest.
