Spring Time

The Spring brings things which the Winter witch stole...
Flowers soon bloom, bright colors unfold...
Trees resist breeze, and bring forth their fruit...
For your lovely lips to partake of...

The sounds of your heart are so doubly-sweet...
Natures heartbeat timed in constant repeat...
Recalling the days when you were so near...
Rhythmically wanting you here....

What Am I? (a riddle)

I am everywhere
Wherever you go
I know no nationality
I have no real foes

I speak in many tongues
And yet speak none
You hear me quite often
Tho you think silence has won

I have bought nations together
Not set them apart
You was born with me
I'm naturally in your heart

In different ways I speak to you
In different ways you hear me too

You think you can escape me but you can't
Forever in your mind
One way or another
In your mind
I always chant

What am I?

Follow your star *

When you were born you were never handed
The mysterious equations of life..

In your cradle you merely cried for your
Mothers milk and the bright shiney toys
That dangled above your crib

Your world was nothing more than a Pristine universe filled with playgrounds,

Mud puddles, and swinging off the old tire
That swung you into the local pond

The thrill of reeling in that first Catfish, and your freckled faced Sweetheart from the forth grade was your

Souls joy with bull frogs and crickets
Making song in your hidden cove

Truth for you was the song of creation
Pressing upon your tender mind and as you
Covered your head in that warm blanket at
Night only the smell of autumn leaves drifted you to sleep

But as the years rolled on bookbags and
School buses transported you to an outside
World

A world beyond bull frogs and splashing
Toes in the pond

A world insensitive to a mothers touch, And to bedtime stories on Christmas eve

The restlessness of the world of people
With all it's confusion and doubt

What to you was the the obvious logic
Of the love of life was called into reason
By minds who saw little or nothing in the
Slimplicity of innocence

Few wise men as it were, pay
Much heed to the humbling truths
From the mouths of babes

The cold calulations of
Arrogant teachers would surely
Test the veracity of your humble
Emotions

The beauty of all your
Golden sunsets, the smile
Of a freckled faced girl has
Been thoughly tested in a solution
In your science lab, and your childhood
Asumptions have been found wanting

But your heart would not relent
The star of your hope still burns
Within your soul

Dusty old philosophers books, and
Faithless disciples of doom could
Never match the wisdom of bull frogs
And hidden lakes filled with catfish
And the freckled faced smile of that
Forth grade sweetheart..

They can never follow your star which is
The light of your life.

Ha ha ha laughter in abundance,
Take a bloody pill.

Take a freaking pill.

Heal your body of pain,
Take a dozen pills.
Need Vitamins and minerals ?

Do you have get rich fast pills ?

How about famine or fame ?
Do they come in mutiple pills ???

Can you save your soul in pills?
Can you live your life on pills ?
Is there a God seeing pills?

LCBL was commenting about the pill I read
So that gave me this quirky inspiration .

Thou those pills are a multi billion dollars money making industries.

Into Eternity

Walk into eternity
adorned with imortality

Stripped of flesh
and bone, this
primitive reality

Mind dimensions
unknown
Spirit transcending
time

Consciousness awakening
from itself
With its memory
left behind

Infinity is just
a moment, as long
as forever hangs
around

Eternity is but
a broken clock..
The only game
in town~

THE SYCAMORE TREE

AS I WALKED IN THE FOREST, ONE FINE SUMMERS DAY,
TWIRLING DOWN, CAME THE SEEDS OF A SYCAMORE TREE,
AS THEY SETTLED THEMSELVES, GENTLY DOWN ON THE GROUND,
IN MY MIND, OLD MEMORIES WENT SPINNING AROUND.

I REMEMBERED MY YOUTH, WHEN I WAS QUIET SMALL,
THE OLD SYCAMORE TREE, BY OUR BACK GARDEN WALL,
AT TIMES WHEN NO ONE, WOULD COME PLAY WITH ME,
I CLIMBED TO THE LIMBS, OF THE SYCAMORE TREE.

IT WAS AT SUCH TIMES, ALL THINGS TO ME,
AS I SAT LOOKING OUT THROUGH, ITS GREEN CANOPY,
OVER ITS STOUT LIMBS, MY SMALL LEGS WOULD GO,
AS MY MIND TOOK ME WHERE, ONLY YOUNG KIDS CAN GO.

IT WAS MY COWBOY PONY, AND HE WAS SO WHITE,
AS WE CHASED RED INDIANS, FAR OUT OF SIGHT,
AND ALSO A TALL SHIP, TO SAIL THE BLUE SEA,
MY SAILS WERE THE LEAVES OF THE SYCAMORE TREE.

NOW WHEN E'ER I CALL IN, TO MY MUM FOR A CHAT,
ITS OFT' MY EYES STRAY TO THE TREE OUT THE BACK,
I STILL YEARN FOR A WHITE HORSE, AND A SHIP FOR THE SEA,
AND THE DREAMS OF A CHILD, IN A SYCAMORE TREE.

AWAKENING TO DREAM TIME

IN THE NIGHT TIME, OF MY DREAMS,
YOU FLOAT TO ME,
GENTLY IN THE NIGHT,
TO BE MY LOVER.

ENTWINED TILL DAWNS GREY LIGHT,
WHEN DREAMS AWAKEN TO REALITY,
BUT FOR THOSE DREAM HOURS,
YOU ARE MINE MY LOVE, AND I YOURS.

MY DREAMS ARE NOT CROWDED,
YOU ALONE HOLD THAT SPACE,
FOR YOU ALONE ENCHANT MY WORLD,
THROUGH THE DREAM HOURS, AND THE AWOKEN ONES.

AS I FALL FROM AWAKE, TO ASLEEP,
I SEE YOU FLOATING TOWARDS ME,
AND I WELCOME SLEEP, AS YOU APPROACH,
TO LOVE ME THROUGH THE DREAM HOURS.

FOR NO PRESENCE, IN SLEEP, OR WAKEFULNESS,
COULD COMFORT ME AS YOU DO,
ENTWINED IN GENTLE LOVE, AND PASSION,
UNTIL AT DAWN, YOU FLOAT AWAY, IN MY AWAKENING.

BUT I FEEL NO GREAT SORROW AT YOUR PARTING,
FOR TONIGHT AS I PREPARE FOR THE DREAM-TIME,
YOU WILL DRIFT TO ME AGAIN, TO BE MY LOVER,
IN THAT DREAMY WHISPERED GENTLENESS, THAT IS OUR LOVE.

AND SOON, SOON, SOON, WE WILL BE TOGETHER,
AND WE WILL LAUGH, AND PLAY, AND LOVE,
IN THE AWAKENED HOURS, AND IN THE DREAM-TIME,
FOR FANTASY ALONE, CANNOT RULE OUR LOVE, IT IS REAL.

HILL CLIMBER

I LIE AWAKE, I CANNOT SLEEP,
LIKE A TIRED SOLDIER GUARDING, THE CASTLE KEEP,
IMPATIENTLY WAITING FOR DAWN'S GREY STREAK,
TODAY, I WILL CLIMB TO THE HIGHEST PEAK.

WITH LUSH PURPLE HEATHER BENEATH MY FEET,
AND THE WIND'S GENTLE KISS UPON MY CHEEK,
THE MORNING MIST LIFTS FROM THE LAKES BENEATH,
THE VALLEYS TRUE SPLENDOR LIES AT MY FEET.

IN THE DISTANCE, A HAWK, HUNTS GLEN AND HILL,
THIS AWESOME BEAUTY, YOUR SOUL WOULD TRILL,
AS THE WHISPERING WIND, SINGS A POEM TO ME,
OF THIS GHOSTLY GREEN VALLEY, AT THE DAWN OF THE DAY.

SHOOTING STAR

I LUNGED TO GRASP YOU, MY SHOOTING STAR,
AS YOU RACED BRIGHTLY, STREAKING ACROSS THE DARK HEAVENS,
BUT YOUR LIGHT BLINDED ME, AND I MISSED,
AN ETERNAL CHANCE PERHAPS,

AND I AWAIT NOW,
LEGS STRADDLING EARTH, AND MOON,
HANDS OUTSTRETCHED, IN DESPERATION, ASIDE MARS, AND PLUTO,
AND I WATCH, AND WAIT, FOR YOUR RETURN, MY SHOOTING STAR.

I GLANCE BACKWARDS LONGINGLY OVER MY SHOULDER, AT YOUR DUST TRAIL,
REACH TO CARESS IT GENTLY, IMAGINING THE DUST AS YOUR FINE HAIR.
THE ROCKS, CRASHING AGAINST MY HAND,
TUMBLING TOWARDS EARTH.

THEY ARE YOUR WORDS, FALLING TO EARTH,
TO ENLIGHTEN US, WITH YOUR WISDOM,
TUMBLING STONES OF THE MIND, ROCK OF AGES,
THE HEAVENS SPEAK TO US, IF WE WOULD BUT LISTEN.

I PRAY THE UNIVERSE IS NOT INFINITE, BUT SOMEHOW HUGE, AND ROUND,
AND YOU WILL PASS THIS WAY AGAIN, SOMEDAY, MY SHOOTING STAR,
I FEEL NO WEARINESS IN MY TASK, HOPE ALONE IS MY SHROUD,
AS I SCAN THE HEAVENS RELENTLESSLY, DESPERATELY.

THE TELESCOPES OF EARTH, WONDER AT THESE TWO BRIGHT STARS,
BUT THEY ARE THE TEARS OF LOST TIME, GLISTENING, IN MY EYES,
I CANNOT MISS YOU AGAIN, MY SHOOTING STAR,
I WILL NOT MISS YOU NEXT TIME GASHLY, I PROMISE YOU THAT.

"You Know a Hurricane's Comin!"

You know a hurricane's comin',
when sheets of rain race against the wind.
When trees are swaying to the rhythm of the blues,
a rhythm that their own leaves send.
When the gator's of the bayou are diving,
down deep to escape the havoc above.
When Cajun's put away their fiddles,
their guitars and the Gumbo they love.

You know a hurricane's comin!

When the critters of the woods scatter,
unconcerned by whom they've been seen.
The Black Panther by the fleeing boar,
is considered as being less than mean.
The skies are filled with floating debris,
looking like butterflies on drunken display.
The tranquil waters, once calm and still,
are churning and swelling in the bay.

You know a hurricane's comin!

Mother Nature has her signs,
and her means of announcing that to come.
Just as an intuitive man or woman,
will also know when they're headed for fun.
As the unfolding weather tells it's story,
to those with keen eyes and a sharp nose.
So too, can the heart discern and read,
changing temps of sensual highs and lows.

You know a hurricane's comin!

Board up the house, secure the shutters,
fasten all open latches and locks.
Put everything outside safely away,
bring up the boat from the dock!
It's gonna be a mean one, it's runnin it's course,
it's gonna keep us up late!
This passionate storm of mounting force
is nothing short of GREAT!

You know a hurricane's comin!

The lights begin to flicker,
the air is full of mysterious moans!
The candles within that are burning,
set an ambiance of desire in the home.
Let the storm outside come upon us,
with all it's energy and force displayed.
Cause the storm of passion between us,
pales the power it's conveyed!

You know a hurricane's cummin!

About this poem:
I'm not one to write much about 'Sensual Passion', but I thought I'd try my hand at it while writing an original poem for a friend of mine that carries the same name as a recent hurricane here in the U.S.
