Sweet Release

When things are going badly,
And you're feeling down and blue,
The whole world seems against you,
Here is something you can do.

Find a quiet, private place,
Where nobody will intrude.
Lock the door and draw the blinds,
To ensure your solitude.

Take a moment to relax,
Let your mind and thoughts run free.
Remove restrictive clothing,
And indulge your fantasies.

Dim all lights except your screen,
Play some music nice and low.
Now don't get in a hurry,
'Cause it's best to take it slow.

There's nothing wrong or sinful,
In composing poetry.
Just wash your hands when finished,
And don't read that cr@p to me.

OHIO STAR

If you asked me for a star, i should gladly take to wing,
to endeavor to please you, being worth the fall,
but being me, i would capture a star for you,
and then go after the moon, to adorn you.

Though in truth, you need no embellishment,
for you are perfect to my eyes, my Ohio star,
love glistens in our eyes, no stars shine brighter,
that you gleam for me, the heart grows fonder.

Though in our minds sometimes, we are Gods, and Angels,
with you to be human is enough, Earth bound in our hearth's, and minds,
i see no shackles in this, for this human love, is boundless,
we share so much, the celestial stars, might envy us.

I scorn the heavens, in truth, with you, i own the universe, Ohio star,
to sit astride a rock, with you, and watch the tide, come slowly, to kiss the hot sands,
to walk a wooded glade, hands entwined, drenched in birdsong, the music to our love,
to hold you gently in my arms, and kiss you, tenderly with love.

I give all of me, to all of you, my love flows softly towards you,
i trust you with all things, i have to give, your gentleness, will care for them,
i will hold your heart, like a butterfly, in cupped hands, caring, and with gentle love,
the heavens hold no charms for me, for i have paradise with you, my Ohio star.

"Four Candles"

I am not a native speaker of English, so, sorry for possible language mistakes. What I would like to share is the meaning of the text.
PS. Any translation of the text into English or Italian will be appreciated. Thanks.

"Four Candles"

Four candles were burning in a room and slowly melting…
It was very silent in the room, and easy to hear their talk.

The first candle told: "I am Calmness. Unfortunately, people do not able to keep me, and, I think, it will be better I will stop giving light. And the candle went out.

The second candle said: "I am Belief. Nowadays people don't consider me to be important, they do not wish to listen about me, therefore there is no sense to me to burn further "
A light breeze blown, and has put out the candle.

Then the third candle has said: "I am Love. People do not appreciate and don't value me anymore, sometimes they even hate what/whom they loved the most." After saying that the third candle also went out.

Suddenly, a child came into the room. He has afraid from darkness and started to cry.

The fourth candle said to him: " Please don't cry! While I am alive and burning, it is always possible to light on all other candles ... I am Hope".

Music for the Soul

Sit back and listen to the music
let it flood over you stirring your soul
as you listen to the oh so haunting notes
close your eyes and drift away on wings

Each note so sharp and crystal clear
what need for words as you hear
angel's wings beating up high
sails flapping aimlessly

As circling the dying ship
The albatross sweeps the sky
Hear the whoosh as he passes
the sounds of dead souls cry out

Ah Mr Fleetwood you inspire me
as I hear the hauntingly lovely notes
telling the story without words
just letting the notes speak for you

Journeys

Traveling the roads of destiny
many surprises to be found
each leading to some new beauty

Some journeys taken most blithely
for exotic places we are bound
traveling the roads of destiny

Fabulous sights from balcony
of spires and ancient battlegrounds
each leading to some new beauty

Journeys some take with ceremony
for new places we are now bound
traveling the roads of destiny

Paths reach out in disharmony
the right one has to be now found
each leading to some new beauty

Some of them full of tyranny
the awful silence of no sound
traveling the roads of destiny
each leading to some new beauty

The Shouting Tree

With roots within my heart didst grow
a tree that touched the sky
and planted in its sapphire arch
the dream that never dies.
There dawning in the afterglow
the love that filled your eyes
came raining down
in another world
and fetched me to your side.

Sad hollow the heart
of the child who scaled
those boughs to come to Thee,
who shouted to Thee
from its utter twigs
abandoned misery.
And thereby made she
all she loved and loathed
by naming didst she see
and came at last thereby to learn
we make our own reality.

Now sings this heart
chastened by that climb
and brought forever to your side
to build the worlds
love dares to share
with those who Will in love abide,
to light your eyes
and fill your heart
I am at last The Fiddler’s Bride.

About this poem:
Composed today for the opening of the last two chapters of "Traveler" the third book of my "Chalice" Grail Romance series. This poem references an autobiographical work I have already completed and which is available for Kindle already. That work is told in the 3rd person, as if I were speaking of someone else's life because, in truth, it no longer feels like "my story" or "my life". It also ties into the fantasy series of which "Traveler" is the third. With a lot of help from dear friends, the first book of that series, "Chalice" should also soon be available for kindle.

I'd appreciate feedback on what you get out of this poem: What message and what feelings. Thanks very much ahead of time for your help and feedback.

Love Me Not

Love me not for outward appearance
the sum of me is far more than that

Love me not for the things I do for you
that just scratches the surface of me

Love not me for worldly goods and possessions
for all of these soon can vanish like dust

Love me just as I am with warts and all
take time and learn to understand my moods

Love me for the words that spring from my pen
these sentences will tell you what I am about

Love me and accept I often walk a different path
and in return you will hold my heart in your hands

"TIME"

It begins at our birth,
waging war against life,
making fast it's girth,
planting seeds of strife.

No weapon of man,
can halt it's advance,
no thwarting it's plan,
no escaping by chance.

It's force is ever growing,
appearance non-descript,
there is no power in knowing,
no cure to be prescript.

Soldiers quite minute in size,
seem harmless in their cause,
ever increasing before our eyes,
ever sharpening deceptive claws.

Claws of 'time' destroying us,
as each mission is performed,
reducing forms of life to dust,
health to illness transformed.

Absent of form the eye to see,
yet known by familiar names,
seconds, minutes, hours and weeks,
assembling - all lives to claim.

Time gives a sense of safe abode,
to those with their heads in sand,
to those who refuse to see it's mode,
of deteriorating the life of man.

God, the maker of this thing - 'time',
allows it to run it's unfailing course,
it's original purpose - quite sublime,
but man in Eden refashioned its force.

'Time', yet needed for life to thrive,
a strange gift delivered from above,
no longer able to keep us here, alive,
but able to usher to timeless love.

This enemy-'time' can be used for good,
if wisdom prevails in God given minds,
don't simply say you would if you could,
when able to control the destiny of time!

About this poem:
I just recently considered the concept of 'time' being like an invisible army or foe - always mounting it's forces against us to ultimately destroy us.... this is how I fashioned it into poetic verse.

Morning light

On this chilly December morn
branches and tree trunks are
bathed in the resplended light
of the rising sun
With every passing moment tints
and hues of spectral magic carress
my adoring eyes
There is a subtle whisper beckoning
me to dream of worlds unknown in
the changing coulors of dawn
I drink the deep quiet of soul with
every cup of morning mist
I take a breath and my spirit bows
to the morning light and to Him
who commands the day**

Abecedarian

After the storm eased slowly
Big waves smashed against the shore
Causing havoc every where
Drinking more than he should
Eating until stuffed
Feet sliding every where
Grabbing at straws
He caught on to what he could
Into the sea he waded
Jigging about he got soaked
Keeping to his feet only just
Looking every where
Masts in the distance
Nothing else out there
Or not that he could see
Perhaps a castle far away
Queen could be dining
Royal banners flapping
Swimming towards it
Took a long time
Under the spell
Victory not clear
Washed up on the shore
Xebec sailing past
Yacht moored near by
Zanzibar in the distance
