A Fallen Feather

There you lie on the ground
A single feather to be found
A clue for all to expound
A creature on wings southbound
What caused you to be unbound
From all others that surround
To end up here earthbound
And no others around
A query that's so dumfound
Be confused with the profound
Just maybe you are homebound
Or maybe it is I who confound
All that really is profound?

A soldier without a home, Coming home

One evening on the way home
you stood there in the light, so bright
in my eyes I saw the light of a soul
seeking for some one. a home
his uniforrm was no longer so clean
It`s so broken,so rag`s
he hurt a leg on a tag

he talk so still,
say said so poor

I will sing a song for you
if you give me a way
i can go,for food
belive it`s one who give
find the faith to belive
I haven`t eat on several days.

a silent tear fall down on the cheek
i have no please after they geth me home
and he had so good a soul
he asked for help in this world
a a soldier with no home

I wiped the tear so falling down
and took the hand so dirty so cold
follow me to the the town
there we hav one so you not falling down.

give som food , and fiks your boot`s
and wash your clothes.and sleep you need`s
you geth your home and the peace
do day you i so you in the light
to morrow you will feel right.
thank for i so you in the light

memory

memory of those who gave everything
for freedom and peace

in silence I stand there alone. and think
with me tears I fell grief ,and memories
about you.

at the grave in which sits a little boy
I see the quiet, he sits there a tear
dripping down
his father, a soldier stands breved
and remember their friend a lonely
soldier die and heart burst now tears
runs down why my friend
you went home

soldier's mom a mother in mourning is
at his side, she struggles with tears
falling down, but remember their soldier
with goodness in mind, and everything is fine Her
soldier wrote while the tears fall silent down

soldier's father stands with his back so bent
in grief but pride, he sees his daughter and son
which now lies quietly in his sleep
a flower a flag set by their last legend

we stand there and remember the honor they gave
their part for freedom and peace. but freedom was not free
the freedom of taking our soldiers in the battle for peace
Today, they now come home and despair so quiet in the light
of stars and stripes

Slowly now the sun site shadows we now recall
and never forget you
in our hearts you all are in our soul is already there

This Old Dirt Road

Life is like an old dirt road cut through many ledges
Because sometimes that is only where we are welcome
Like beautiful flowers growing up upon their edges
Or by a painted mailbox on the last stretch home
Our road is really not a road unless travel is allowed
Or weeds and trees will quickly make it disappear
Our road is not a road unless it is grated and plowed
For pot holes fill with water unless the snow is clear
After many passing storms they always needs repair
Swollen creeks at once will flood and wash away the fill
Every road is a fixed distance going off somewhere
Flat or straight, twisting or turning, uphill or downhill
They will always challange us wherever they will go
Sometimes they are empty sometimes they are full
For everyday we must travel on them whether high or low
Always make your journey happy whether you push or pull

What is love?

Some live a life
Of love
They have a foretaste
Of joyous things
To come
And others on their
Death bed realize to
Late that without love
They are undone.

Please Hang On

How very callous you make me feel
Like being caught alive amongst the dead
In a soulless pile of inhumanity
Unreactive to life around us
How dull each day awakes
To feelings that make me numb
So color-blind to life’s beauty
Impassive to a creative mind
Like skin that’s turned to stone
Rocky and jaded hard
Listen like a tin-eared robot
A squelch almost inhumane
Hear a voice that says,
“You’re call is important to us.
Please hang on and a representative
Will be with you shortly”

Ramifications

Ramparts adorn the castle walls
Amidst them slotted turrets
Making for a grim facade
Inside a moat that repelled many
Fortess of all it guards
In its depths a dungeon
Captives were placed there
A home to torture chambers
The stains of blood darkly visible
Inferno pit in the centre
Over which people were hung alive
No mercy given here to foes
Screams heard for miles around

I'm So Tired

I'm so tired,
And here's the reason why.
We hiked and played all day,
Up and down, and all around,
And that's why I'm tired today!

About this poem:
This is a song to the tune of I'm So Happy, a Gospel song. I wrote it after a long hike with some members of my walking group, in which we went up and down some steep hills. I was worn out afterward, and this song perfectly illustrates how I felt after the hike.
