I spent this evening in tears.
watching and listening,
deep in the soul of ”Madam Butterfly”
Tears because of its pathos,
and of memories
shared so long ago.
Shared with a gentle girl
who still fills my thoughts.
Of youth and innocence,
long gone,
but not forgotten.
Over the years
our paths crossed and parted
but never ran together.
I will always wonder,
What If?

Pancake Simplette`
the short stack, w/coffee
order served; too soon the check while
first and most remarkable
her smile
To simply say she's lovely, jewel eyes
purely beautiful
the words cannot set themselves
apart enough
from those she'll hear
a thousand times or
More; some thousand maybe, other-be's
imagining this treasure to themselves
crystal spheres of destiny
rising from her depths
yet true to sport, their peppered wicks
each in turn disqualify
Now along appears an unlikely one
determines first to animate
the sketch behind the smile
Ellipse & circle twice outline
hairline edge with charcoal grains
soothes reluctance pressed between
bands of light and shadow
Dab the brush to peach pastel
dimension raise a freckled cheek
as crescent brows do arch above
iridescent lenses linked one soul
The gleam therein
together the sheen upon the lips
inflection without afterthought
to continue beyond where the
pen must cease
so likewise tastes her breath
Among the flowers
blanche combines one spiritual color
that no other holds its luster in the rain
[plain pancakes, please]
- she smiles -
An Ivory Rose

I walked over to the coffin and took a deep breath ,i opened my eyes to the picture of death.
There she lay so cold and blue if it werent for my tears i dont know what i would do .
The doctor came over and sat by her side he pronounced her dead 20 past 5.
The house was so silent what could i say my best friend from life had just past away.

Twenty four hours a day
Men see her pass in their direction
Loaded down with packages and wisdom anyway
That invites continuous respect instead of correction.
Looking out into space
Her eyes are not steady for a reason
Perhaps her memories will not allow a trace
For sounds of awareness to create a new season.
Coming closer together like space ships passing in the night
Impulse is the teacher once again
Conditions are divided once again in the areas of dark and light
As shyness overtakes the courage trend.
Inches become feet and feet become yards
As the twosome moves away never to become one
Through a lucky draw of social playing cards
As individual plans for the day remain important under the sun.

About this poem:
Both men and women in the course of everyday living as strangers may pass people on the street who may enhance their individual lives in a special way. Caught up in the daily tasks at hand people not thinking at all about social contact move on separated forever from the unique opportunity that was never consumated.

I'm not a perfect woman,
I'm a little hot-tempered,
I am just like a spoiled little girl....
But every lock has its own key,
So hope you good luck.
And HAPPY EVERYDAY!
Thanks for reading!!
