A man's man

challenge's himself, graces other's, believes in himself to believe in others, he's forgiving, in his wake stands some earned respect, his path ahead is carved with acceptance of what will be ~

MY NEIGHBOURS

MY NEIGHBOURS

How great was the worth of my neighbours
They where trustworthy loyal and kind
And there friendship I surly do cherish
For friendship is not easy to find
When I was down on my luck
And the road became rough
They where always there by my side
With a hug or a smile or just talk for a while
These very dear neighbours of mine
There door would always be open
And there coffee was sure
To be fresh
After a long day of toiling
We’d leisurely sit down and we’d
Rest

therapy by canine

we all ran out the basement door
my three dogs and me
loping on a winding trail
eyeing, smelling, hearing,
what all there was to be
children's squeals in the distance
raised our ears up high
a muffled growl, a stunted yip
heads turned as if to see
the game was on, the trek begun
noses pointed to the sky
our tails were quickly wagging
legs churning on toward
indefinate direction
we sought out our reward
no second sound was offered
to guide us in our quest
no movement nor an odor
could only second guess
we ended up in search of a sound that wasn't there
glum faces now replace the ones we wore of joyful glee
just another no surprise
for my three dogs and me
...yet, you'll find us there in the morrow
bring to us joy or bring to us sorrow

Ode for CS Friends

When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.

You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.

I can't forget the fun we've had
Laughing 'til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we're mad -If they only knew!

I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
My Connecting Singles cyber friends
And being here with me through it all.

A Friends Trust

A Friends Trust

"My friend do you trust me?"
'Twas whispered in the darkness,
Her head on the pillow...
The moon full bright, shining through the window.

"My friend do you trust me?"
Came back the whispered echo, as out on the back porch,
He stood barefoot and chilled,
The moon full bright, beaming down upon the grass.

"My friend, I do trust you."
Came the words, felt but unheard.
"My friend, I do trust you."
So said, so felt, came the peace,
Between the two who did feel and who knew.

JUDGE NOT

JUDGE NOT

As we have now entered into the new century
It‘s time for all of us to take a good look as to how we treat each other
And stop all the prejudice that is going on in the world
What difference does it really make?
It is not for us to judge any one
For each person born into this world
Did not have a say as to the face or body we have been given
On the other hand, or even what colour our skin was to be
That was Gods decision. Some day we all have to face him
Now I certainly would not want to be the one to say to the almighty
That he makes the wrong decision would you?
Stop and take the time to look around. Haven’t you ever noticed?
That God made the world in many colour
The flowers, the birds, animals the fish in the sea
Take a rose for instance they come in red, pink, and yellow
Are they all not truly beautiful?
So why would he of made the human race all in one colour
He gave us eyesight so that we could see the beauty in this world
That we where born into
Remember don’t judge a person
By there looks or the colour of their skin
For the beauty lies with in

Peace in the World

If there is light in the soul,
There will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person,
There will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
