Drop in Sometime

My friend!, so wonderful to see you!

Lending my coat

Wearable art

What eyes will gloat

Ha Ha Ha!

Still I stand away
Still watch what others
scene may Lay

Of art, is art
what is

IS

From frumpled socks
or Mae West locks,

Within Dali scenes
the melting clock

I search and delve
I know to come across, such amok

do we look back?
give ourselves
The ultimate sack!

Not entrenched?
From hence nature we were wrentched

It was wild, warm, and the best!
The seasons played out

Hello again!
Must be Marmalade

I'll not refrain

~~~~~~~~~~~~Whats................ "he" buil..............ding........... in there..
"Waite" a moment...
My Lovely Friend
A woman that I met on here's,
Become so very dear,
And though she lives so far away,
Sometimes feels like she's near.
She's working on her future,
While working out her past.
I really do admire how,
She shapes her lot to cast.
We email, chat and telephone,
It's comfort for our souls.
We help each other through the days,
While working towards our goals.
Whenever I am feeling down,
She gives me some good cheer,
It lifts me up in spirit so,
Her kindnesses to hear.
I try my best to give in turn,
Her fears and woes to mend.
And so today I had to say,
Here's to my lovely friend!
I
Waisted all my good years
on pipe dreams
Taking chances has taking
a towe on me
All this time
Ive been biding
until I met you
.
Ive got a reason to beleive
Ive got something to hold on to
I sleep easy knowing your beside me
And this world doesnt seem so cold to me
.
waking up beside you
gets me going
looking into the eyes of my wife
I never dreamed
that Id find somebody
but sometimes I feel I waisting you.
Dark Sunshine
Sunshine look at me if you can find something
Nothing’s there that can make you think
So threaten me with your burn light
Hate me with your dark in the night
Help me to kill the hopes I ever had
Leave me alone without your shade
I am an island with soft crystal ice
Quick easy melt burnt by your light
I am a nowhere land
Not a right place to stand
Let your shine moves on somewhere else
Let your bright sparkles for another place
Eyes Of The Beholder
Eyes Of The Beholder
Looking down at the evening sun
mesmerized at the earlier view
the look into your eyes
the brown color
floating so perfectly
a aligned symmetry of beautifull
To see you walk by
well knowing
you could be my best friend, my lover, my one.
or in this case, the one i let go.
its the choices we take, the decisions we make, that makes us.
So im happy, to call you my friend
my beautifull friend
Ode to a Friend
Here's to friends, both near and far,
Who brighten up our days,
With help and kindness bringing cheer,
In oh, so many ways.
Without these ones we hold so dear,
Life wouldn't be worth living.
With gentle grace they lift us with,
The sharing and the giving.
Where others seek to tear apart,
Life's fragile, frail existence.
Our friends repair the angry wounds,
With steady calm insistence.
It takes a special person to,
Stand by through thick and thin.
When things go badly they console,
And cheer us when we win.
So here's to you, my trusty friend,
And you know who you are.
In deepest, dark of blackest night,
You are a shining star!
Unlike Any Other
Friends, I've had many.
Most who know me, would say they are my friend.
Few, less than a handful are true friends and those, sad to say, we rarely speak.
I had one, so very special.
We spoke almost every night. Got together whenever we could.
In my past marriage, our friendship never interfered.
In fact, she was seen as more of a family member.
But she was mine. My friend.
We listended to each other. Talked for hours.
My ex (then wife) would go to bed.
I'd get the kids to sleep and pick up the house.
Then we would call each other and talk endlessly.
Funny, we didn't have to try. Conversations never dwindled or got boring.
I was free to talk about anything as was she.
Physical contact was no more than a hug.
We had an appreciation for each other unlike any I've ever known.
She's gone now. Where, I don't know. Somehow, we lost touch.
I miss her.
I have maybe two good friends now.
One I see, if lucky, once a month.
The other, far less.
It isn't the same.
I miss her.
I miss my friend.
Maybe,
maybe someday.
maybe not.
The Dangling Conversation
It`s a still life water color
On a now late afternoon
And the sun shines through the curtain lace
And the shadows wash the room
And we sit and drink our coffee
Cast in our indifference
Like shells on the shore
You can hear the ocean roar
In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
The borders of our lives
And you read your Emily Dickenson
And I my Robert Frost
And we note our places with bookmarkers
That measure what we`ve lost
Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm
Couplets out of rhyme
In syncopated time
And the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
The border of our lives
Yes we speak of things that matter
With words that must be said
Can analysis be worthwhile?
Is the theater really dead?
And how the room is softly shaded
And our holy kisses shadow
I cannot feel your hand
You`re stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
The border of our lives
About this poem:
Through-out highschool I was homeschooled and my favorite class was Interpersonal Communication. I hung on every poem or saying in the book and will keep it forever even if it`s a book from the 70`s it`s packed with great information.
This poem helped me see a side of communication that hurts. Where nothing is deep, like just covering a wound instead of letting it breath. So for a week or so I`ll be putting up favorite poems of mine growing up, while I work on my music:D
Unnamed
I was angry with my friend
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe: I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I watered it in fears
Night and morning with my tears:
And I sunned it with smiles
And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night
Till it bore an apple bright:
And my foe beheld it shine
And he knew that it was mine
And into the garden stole
When the night had veiled the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretched beneath the tree.
About this poem:
Another poem I grew up enjoying, I had a lot of foes...friends who were what I would call, part time friends who would pick on me when their cool friends were around. This poem made me stop hating them so much lol
