JUST THAT KIND OF GIRL

When the path you're on,
Seems to remain the same,
Just take the next turn,
And you will begin to see a change,

When clouds of darkness,
Start to roll in,
Please realize you can,
Truly begin again,

I know your painful past,
Keeps trying to hang on,
Too alone, too scared, No will to move on,

But never yield to fear,
The pain and the tears,
You're in the here and now,
You can't roll back the years,

So, wipe away those tears,
From your soft weary eyes,
Hold your head up,
Keep your eyes to the skies,

And you will rise,
Above your stormy gray world,
You know deep in your heart you're,
Just That Kind Of Girl.

I Am Your Friend

Beneath your tough, independent, exterior I sense a fearful, tender, man
Behind the mask that you wear, through your eyes i get a glimpse of your pain

From your transference, the harsh words you sometimes say and in your silence too, I become mindful of the depth of the sorrow you keep safely locked away, choose not to reveal
I am made aware of your wounded sensitive soul, of your fragile spirit,
your broken heart and the scars that need to be nurtured and to heal

I wish you every happiness.
For i am your friend, not your foe !
My words of comfort are considerate, they are true
and it is from a place of sincerity they flow

I really care, I have your back...
I want you to succeed, i want you to excel !
I hope with time, your belief in people, will come to grow
I wish you all the very best, both now and for the future
And trust that your faith and love, in others...you’ll once again bestow.

Losing a friend

we laughed, we fought, we made up
that's what we did and more
we learned many a things, did we not?
we discovered so much about this world

we drank our tears, we swallowed our pride
oh what a journey, we dug into the past
one glitz and it vanished, our focus got distracted
now we are separated, our friendship ended

but such is life, mysterious as the pyramids
we might have a little knowledge of what was and ifs
but the truth is, we're so weak and flawed
in our quest we'd never succeed

I am thinking, what a waste of my efforts and my hopes
if only words don't hurt, I'd be a glorious walk
tonight I might dream, it's all an illusion
might as well be for I am ready for the new morn

but what if....that's only a question

"Deny"

Deny, they said to me...
Deny, I said the freedom to the free...
Are we always free... just to be?
Remove the shackles from my arms.
Remove the stigma from your charms.
Deny what you've done...
Deny what you are...
Deny the reflection in the mirror.
Betray your friend and betray a part of yourself.
Deny that you cant be me...
Deny that you are free.
When you deny that part of me..
Then you deny the freedom of the free.
Have you been there?
Through the suffering and the pain?
Have you stood your ground ?
Oh for the love of the free.
Could you take the blows...
Just for me... all for the love of the free
Just to be me?
Can you walk my path? can you sing my song?
Will you show me all the wrong?
Because I stood my ground.
Still they put me down.
But all the words of slander and hate...
Still wait for all...
In destiny lies fate.
Still we deny who we are.
And the reflection in the mirror.

About this poem:
I wrote this poem when I 'd felt betrayed by people that I 'd felt stigmatized me when they didn't really know me or understand me. I think poetry at times is a release of sorts.

Before you write, think about it!

Every touch leaves a mark. ... There are relatives. There are strangers
There are those who indirectly walk with you through life, not really influencing it, but being present for some reason.
There are those who come close to you and change the course of events in your history.
There are those who come and go. Some will leave a trace in the diary of your soul in a moment, others, having been present for years by your side, will not touch the strings of your heart.
It is impossible to predict who will stay with you.
Sometimes loved ones let go of your hand at the edge of the abyss, and completely strangers, suddenly give it to save you.
You can walk along the same road, but look in different directions.
You can go along different roads, but suddenly converge at the crossroads of destinies.
And no one knows what will happen in a minute, a month, a year.
But, bursting into someone else's life, or even barely touching it, leave in it what will become another beacon in the darkest night for him.
Remaining in the soul, this barely perceptible light can kindle a fire after a while, at the most necessary moment for this, when, it would seem, there is no longer any salvation.
Be kinder, more merciful, sincere. This is not a weakness or a vice.
It is a force that has no value.
Speak important words to your dear people on time, because they have the greatest value exactly when they are expected.
Everything that is so important to the heart has its own expiration date.
Everything has its time: the word - its own, the deed - its own.
Speak important words also to strangers for you, perhaps through you their guardian angel speaks to them.
We are all wanderers in this life, partially or closely intertwined with each other and, contrary to the opinion that a person has always been, is and remains alone, I will say:
You have never been alone, even if you are so sure of it.
Each touch to your soul, like yours to someone else's, leaves a mark in the book of fate and changes the course of events.
Be careful, touch gently...

Meeting Again

Resting in my chair at last
After the morning repast
Pondering what to do this day
Thoughts of you did pass my way

Smiling as I recalled that day
When we first met and talked away
And the evening hours melted away
Gone too soon dare I say

Now waiting patiently for the days to pass by
While I conjure clever ways to plan a call
To meet again somewhere close by
Not too soon or not at all

I will take my time to plan
.So I will not fail to meet again
This fine lass I have met so I might woo her best I can
When I see her once again

About this poem:
I met a lady recently and was resting the next day and decided that I would like to meet her again. This is a little fun thing about the thought surrounding the desire vs the trepidation of when is the right time after that first encounter to make contact

FRIENDS

The term 'Friend' recklessly used no doubt
call one 'friend' you know NOTHING about
True Blue Friends extremely rare if not extinct
agree or don't just wanna make you think

Not shocked that most possess gullible mentality
believing you have many friends isn't reality
Acquaintances or buddies much more reasonable
perpetual jealousy makes true friends less feasible

A morally defunct world negates trusting completely
BEST FRIENDS deceive you more discreetly
many so-called 'friends' are cunningly malicious
don't be blind there's reason to be suspicious

Two-Faced 'friends' are part of your everyday
that's a sad fact I can definitively convey
Vast experience validates my every word
truly clueless if you dismiss this as absurd

Witnessing "friends" stab "friends" sickens me
'friend' requires absolute 'trust' that can't be
When told "My Best Friend" did me wrong
I grin knowing it would happen all along

LIARS IN RELATIONSHIPS

THERE ARE SO MANY OF THEM; SO WHERE DO I BEGIN? THEY SAY ONE THING FOR THE MOMENT; BUT THEY MEAN ANOTHER THING! IF YOU CAN NEVER TRUST; YOUR RELATIONSHIPS WILL ALWAYS BE A BUST! THAT IS WHY YOU HAVE TO START SLOWLY; BELIEVE IN EACH OTHER; AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER; THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN; YOU"RE IN LOVE; AND THAT EXCELS YOU TO WALKING; HAND IN HAND THROUGH LIFE; AND THROUGH ALL ETERNITY; WITHOUT EVER EXPERIENCING ONE OUNCE OF STRIFE!

Caring Friend

I often think that I am done,
my heart can take no more.
That I am understood by none,
the compassionate close their door.

I often think I should give up,
no more torment, no more hope.
I should just stay here in my rut,
familiarity will help me cope.

But then, someone comes along,
and shows a heart that beats.
To which, there plays a loving song,
of strength gained through defeats.

Someone who says, "All will be well,
sometimes it takes a while.
You will find your way, out of your hell,
and once again you'll smile."

Takes my hand and holds it so tight,
and says, "I'll never let go.
Not 'til I know, you are alright,
no longer bent like a bow."

And at last!, again that nasty gloom,
lifts up it's ugly veil.
The sun shines, flowers are in bloom,
doom came to no avail.

The birds are chirping, ever so sweet,
optimism has yet to end.
My mind is at rest, turmoil obsolete,
thanks to a caring friend.

The struggle of a self-sustaining flame

Dear lonely friend,

I'm worried that you might feel to lost one of these days. Knowing this might help you:

I am abnormal, in an abnormal world; struggling, searching - desperately most of the times - enduring and becoming; stronger. I don't go to sleep anymore. I crash and let go to my desire. We've made peace, even builded trust. I found out that breaths of fresh air come, briefly, with more wisdom and patience, so be patient. Beware of life's irony and don't forget that we are fighters. We fight and reap the joy of a win, jumping into another, just seconds later.

I find confort in knowing that you are on the same path. I believe that our resolutions will stage an encounter someday, a test of sorts. There might not be a second chance so don't you dare hesitate! Remember me! With love,

Happiness.
