Summer

Summers ending hold on

not so fast, there is still time

to enjoy while it lasts

grilling, games, sunning

and summer concerts in the eve

eating outside and walking about

don't be in a hurry enjoy while it lasts

for winter will come as we turn away

from the sun so enjoy today

for tomorrow will come

Thank God! (a limerick)

.. .. ...
There once was a girl Emily
.. .. ... ..
She was dumped by her sweetie
.. .. ... .. ..
And, she cried all night
.. .. ... .. .. ...
And, she prayed all night
.. .. ... .. .. ... ..
She prayed, “Thank God saved me from STD!”(HIV)
.. .. ... .. .. ... .. ..

Limericks

A lady who lived in her car,
Who I'd met up with once in a bar,
When she came back to town,
And was feeling quite down,
Came and made me feel just like a star.

There was a hot blonde from the South,
Did amazing things with her mouth,
Her kiss was a blast,
But what left them aghast,
Was she'd suck but she'c never spit out.

:D

who knows

there once was a man sitting in the sand
he had just been dumped and by her new lover thumped
he started to understand when he opened up his hand
the road have given him bumps and life is full of humps

There once

There once was a lass from Kilkenny
Who’s admirers on line were many
She mailed and she posted
Her bits, they got roasted
And so she decided to

Write poetry ...

The Suitor (take two)

So he fetched her the ocean in a marble,
caught up in a velvet rag,
tied off with a golden braid,
from the dream of a white-headed hag.
She twiddled the glassy green sea-scape,
its white horses frozen inside,
then bade him release her a stallion -
'else ne'er would she be his sweet bride!
And he smiled:
"I have spied the solution!",
as he lobbed the glass orb at her throne -
she was still plucking shards from her cushion,
while he danced with the white-haired crone...

CS Limerick

There once was a woman named Kate
Who came to CS for a mate
Poet’s Corner she found that day
and here she decided to stay
Now, with poems she goes on a date

The Suitor

So he fetched her the ocean in a marble,
wrapped up in a velvet rag,
and tied with a golden braid
from the dreams of a white-headed hag...
She twiddled the glassy green sea-sphere,
its white horses frozen inside,
then she bade him:
"Release me that stallion!
Else ne'er shall I be thy sweet bride!"
Well he smiled:
"I know just how to do it!",
and he pitched the glass ball at her throne -
she was still picking shards from the cushions,
as he danced with the white-haired old crone!

About this poem:
A little fairy tale :-) It's not a limerick, but I couldn't think which style fitted...pantoum, ghazal...what on earth are those?!

Drifting Away.......

wave after wave seasons change an the winters fade into the summer sky's ,where the seagulls fly an there hunger cry's like dreamers from a different time ,where dreams never live or never die drifting away it seem far beyond the wildest dreams ,with your eyes close follow the stars nothing else to say drifting away.......

Just another limerick to contemplate...

To those who worship the 'god' of Sports
whether played on fields or on the courts,
Always remember that in the end
tis only a 'score' you'll hate or defend
but to this 'god' we do not give our reports!
