War in Heaven

When God looks down upon me, just what does He see?...
A man that is righteous,...or at least tries to be?...
Or does He see things that I can’t imagine?...
I simply can’t fathom,....The Master’s reactions...

He’s said “In My Father’s house, there are many mansions”...
Imagine the compassion our Dear Father has fashioned...
It’s tragic for all those that do feel abandoned...
I’ll bet my sad life, ....there are no bad cabins...

There are those that will wonder why I write what is right...
Some will think I have no right to write light...
Few will still gaze at the truth with delight...
I’ll fight to the end,.... with all of my might...

I could choose to continue, but what would that do?...
Confuse the few that seem to know...”It’s not true”...
For those unsure of what to believe...
Just follow your heart,...pray you’re not deceived...

Now let’s go back to the top of this poem...
Would you reconsider......the words that I’ve sown?...
Or will you continue that tone that you own?...
God loves you beyond what you think He has shown.....

Dream Walker

It feels like I am walking
Down a path when suddenly
Everything just disappears
The path, the trees, the flowers, The sky, the sun, the bees
Everything is all gone
And I keep walking along
Like I had been there before.

About this poem:
Wasted wait away.
Waiting time wasted away.
I watch the wait.
I wait on the watch.
More and more time wasted away.
Always waiting for this and that.
Precious moments passed away waiting, that you can't get back.
Waiting so long, on and on.
From one wait to another wait.
Too late.
Timeworn away.

Different Tune

And for this presentation!,
For all this mad frustration!,
For this price - kindly be seated in this room!, -
And the good for nothing!,
That all made us something!,
Only to march to a different tune!, ---

-- And being alone,
It's not all that bad?,
Sometimes being sad,
Sometimes glad, ---

And for the servants that are serving you wine!,
All dressed in white!,
Wearing crooked smiles!,
Perhaps its medication time - again?!, -
Always want!,
But never need!,
Fall hard!,
But land on your feet!,
Only to march to a different tune! ---

-- And being alone,
May I speak bold?,
Rarely warm,
Mostly cold, --

Perhaps I'm speaking way to soon?!,
As you're not really so alone here!,
In this room?!,
Maybe love is not that far away?!, -
But who am I to even tell?!.
To tell such madness?!,
Unless you've been to Hell?!,
So many times we've all been there!, ---

--And being alone,
Motionless, but we knew?,
And the game remains the same,
Only to march - to a different tune, ----------------

About this poem:
Wrote this one 11/17/2023. This is rough draft for the first write. Consider a high/medium tempo to low guitar playing while writing this obscure, off the wall type song! lol Until then

This Thing We Call Life

This thing we call life
A race to the finish
I don’t want to be first
I don’t want to diminish
This thing we call life
Staring you in the face
An image of yourself
Captured in place
This thing we call life
Every breath of fresh air
Every moment we pause
Reflect on what's there
This thing we call life
Every moment we share
A moment for a smile
Show how much we care
This thing we call life
What really comes next
A warm summer breeze
Or storm that’s complex
This thing we call life
Is up for discussion
I hold the door open
For the world to rush in

About this poem:
Sometimes poetry can become such an invitation for reflection such as this abstract form of poetry answering a question or perhaps asking a few more?

The willow Tree - introspection

The willow tree bends its branches, silently, leaves words left unspoken
As the tidal wave of emotion borderlines the freedom with a blissed token
Of release, as I sit quietly, by the lake, beneath the leafy canopy
My headache no longer present, my heartache no longer my burden to carry
Painless tears sweep through my essence, the burden becoming lighter
As my future, that confirmation passes into the sunset only becomes brighter

Letting go, it's time.

There are times when you have to let go of someone.

Open the door to your heart and watch them walk away.

Close the cage back that you were slowly breaking down and lock the door.

Each time you hand over a key gets harder.

The old tarnished gates now have a shinning new lock, maybe one day.

Until then the key is in a box hidden away.

About this poem:
Sometime you wait for months and realise you were never enough.
That's when you need to be strong enough to find you again.

The Dancing Muse

She whirled around center stage, pirouetting around the room
Curly ebony hair with heavy make up, silver shadowing around
The brows, reflective of the snowy supermoon
And as she danced, spectactors cry, we are lulled into
The throes of a gothic lullabye, softly sung sorrowfully, resonating
Deep within the heartstrings of the audience, no longer feeling
A little tense, expressing the love of dance as to how she feels
No longer needing commerciality to keep it real,
She's pouring her heart out through the medium of dance
Improving with every step knowing that it might be classed as
A distant trance, floating, gracefully into an elegant twist,
The poem can now be resolved and twirled into this
A moving piece of powerful verse, emotions churn like a blessing
And a curse, the balance is no longer reported adrift
As this poem ends with a silent kiss, a quiet salute to those
That can dream and remind people reading this that
Not everything in reality appears as it seems, that mystery
Can appear to many even in evidential truths

My ghost

There's someone out there He's my ghost.

My being knows him, He was my whole life in my past life.

This life is getting shorter and I sometimes feel like I will miss Him.

But my beautiful Ghost I am here and if we need to wait another lifetime to feel what we have, I am good with that.

Until then let's make memories and live.

About this poem:
They say that we have a soul mate, I think I might have met mine but maybe not, or he's not ready.
Never stop looking and hold tight when you find them.

I let you go.

Today I opened the door to the cage around my heart.

I slowly pulled each memory out, smiled, cried, kissed it and held it close one more time, then opened my hands and watched the soft beautiful butterflies with gentle colours fly free.

I let you go today.
