I loved you first: but afterwards your love
Outsoaring mine, sang such a loftier song
As drowned the friendly cooings of my dove.
Which owes the other most? my love was long,
And yours one moment seemed to wax more strong;
I loved and guessed at you, you construed me
And loved me for what might or might not be –
Nay, weights and measures do us both a wrong.
For verily love knows not ‘mine’ or ‘thine;’
With separate ‘I’ and ‘thou’ free love has done,
For one is both and both are one in love:
Rich love knows nought of ‘thine that is not mine;’
Both have the strength and both the length thereof,
Both of us, of the love which makes us one.

Have you ever wondered what would have happened if Adam had stood up for Eve instead of blaming her by saying it was that woman you gave me?
I mean that was a pretty ungrateful thing to say to God.
What would have happened if he took accountability...
The Bible states in Genesis that he was with her
If he could actually see the gift that she was from God to him and in turn protected her from being beguiled by Satan instead of blaming her as he did, especially as he was with her.
Plus blaming God for giving her to him in the first place.
I wonder if he had a little bit of humility, would we be in the same place as we are now?
I hope you enjoy this little playlet and it helps us reflect on our human condition.
THE ULTIMATE LOVE STORY
God: Adam, Where is eve?
Adam: My Lord she is behind the fig tree
God: Adam, ask her to show herself to me
Adam: My Lord she cannot
God: Why will she not show herself to me?
Adam: She is ashamed
God: Why is she ashamed?
Adam: A serpent appeared to her and deceived her my Lord
God: And this serpent what did he do?
Adam: He tricked her my Lord, I should have been there for her.
God: How did he trick her Adam?
Adam: He told her she would not die if she were to eat of the forbidden fruit
God: And what happened Adam?
Adam: She took of the fruit and ate, my Lord, I am so sorry!
God: And you Adam did you partake of the fruit?
Adam: After Eve partook of the forbidden fruit she offered some for me to taste
God: And did you taste the fruit Adam?
Adam: I was tempted Lord having seen Eve had not died, yet I could not partake
God: What stopped you my son?
Adam: Eve was snared and deceived I was not, I would have had to be deliberately
disobedient to eat of this fruit
God: Yes indeed Eve was tricked and deceived, It could have so easily have been you
Adam: Yes my Lord I know, that is why I beg you My Lord spare her life
God: I am so sorry Adam I cannot; the wages for sin is death
Adam: Oh no my Lord please let her live for she is bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh
God: I know Adam but you both knew my law
Adam: I shall be alone lord for there is no mate in all of the earth for me, every living Creature you have set before me has its mate
God: I shall create you another
Adam: I know you can Lord but I don't want another, I want Eve
God: I know you do Adam but Eve must die
Adam: But I love her Lord
God: I know you do and so do I
Adam: So please I beg you don't let her die
God: I am so sorry Adam she has to die
Adam: Lord is there any other way?
God: Someone has to pay the price for sin
Adam: Then let it be I Lord; let me die in place of Eve
God: You do truly love her my son, then you shall take the place of Eve.
***********************
And so it was that Adam took the place of Eve, he dies that she may live & He bore her sin; yet because Adam had never sinned, death could not bind him and he was resurrected & Eve was restored.
As we are well aware this conversation did not happen in Genesis between the 1st Adam and God, Yet throughout the bible we see this interaction between the 2nd Adam and God the Father.
Unlike the 1st Adam, the second Adam being Our Lord Jesus Christ who loved us so much He was willing to bear all our sins to restore us back to His Father.
By one man the human race fell
And by one man the human race is restored
God is calling us to love like this, for there is no grater love than a man lay down his life for another. ©

we laughed, we fought, we made up
that's what we did and more
we learned many a things, did we not?
we discovered so much about this world
we drank our tears, we swallowed our pride
oh what a journey, we dug into the past
one glitz and it vanished, our focus got distracted
now we are separated, our friendship ended
but such is life, mysterious as the pyramids
we might have a little knowledge of what was and ifs
but the truth is, we're so weak and flawed
in our quest we'd never succeed
I am thinking, what a waste of my efforts and my hopes
if only words don't hurt, I'd be a glorious walk
tonight I might dream, it's all an illusion
might as well be for I am ready for the new morn
but what if....that's only a question

Have i ever loved, yes
were you ever loved, yes
how do we know
if we were the one
We keep on trying
we keep on pushing
God! we want this
Yet... it hurts.
Love takes time
We, take time
Is it worth it?!
In time, we will know,

There are many moving parts
You may simple not know
Numerous twists and turns
The future is often murky
Where does one’s reason reside
What things remain inside
Reflections on our strengths
Comparing to our weaknesses
Bridled only by our own ambition
Knowing where we should thrive
Better to find our own happiness
And be completely honest with life

Why do you haunt me in my dreams
Wake me in the middle of the night
Make me feel like I’ve lost touch
With the person I used to be
Why do I need to pacify my inner self
In the glowing din of the twilight
Making contact out of the corners of our eyes
In a desperate plea for each other
Where do you come from
How come I recognize your face
Hear the sweet melancholy of your voice
Longing to feel your sweet embrace
How come your eyes penetrate so deeply into my soul
When you smile at the same time I smile
Even the way we listen intently to each other
Your words just loud enough each one
We can’t tear our eyes away from each other
At the end of the dream you search me out
Just to say a few parting words like
We will see each other again soon
Will we ever be together again
Because you belong to me somehow
No stranger is a dream then an apparition
No stranger is the woman of my dreams

"She doesn't like love stories ...
Love novels.
Love movies.
Love poems.
Reunions, happy endings, in love stories.
She thought love was an invention of weak spirits, like faith.
Unnecessary fragility. Source of dependencies and complications.
Loss of individuality.
She was not a cold or cold woman, she just did not believe and did not like the word love.
It satisfied the desire for sex not to create affections, commitments.
When she met him, she was already at a peaceful age.
He had built his life, free of permanent presence and longing.
For him, displayed back for the first time at the time of farewell.
For the first time I wanted to see someone again.
For the first time desirable to stay after the sacrifice or the body.
She said:
- Never say I loved or leave!
- I will never say I love you!
And the word love was a forbidden word.
Whenever he felt the word grow in him;
Whenever I knew he was a prophet, I shut him up.
It sealed the word in his mouth, with yours.
And the word love ... was silence.
He asked:
- Why don't you say the word?
- Why don't you want to hear it?
- Why do you make the word shame and secret?
She was silent ...
The promise made in a girl's bed was silent with a woman's hatred.
I was silent ... as I closed my ears to not hear a word.
He was silent, as he pursed his lips when the pediatrician said.
The word love, sign of acceptance, surrender.
The word love, word that would kill the girl itself.
She said to him later, almost in the following:
- Never say I loved or leave ...!
- I will never say I love you ...!
One day he didn't show up ...
The silence of love becomes unbearable
A new and unwanted feeling grew within her.
Try to ignore the body's call.
Shut the will ... Shut the longing ...
When you didn't resist.
When you give up the fight and receive yourself, turn it on.
He said sadly:
- I love you ....!
- ... and hung up.
He ran to her. He had waited so long for voice and word.
He opened a door to her house with a key that was hers.
The key she doesn't have before anyone else.
Written on the walls of the corridor, in the living room, going out to a street through the windows and blinds.
Written in red, as if organized inside, tearing, piercing walls.
Written all over the house,
was the word “I LOVE YOU”.
He saw her in bed ...
In the hands ..., a paper that said fired.
On paper, drawn by child's hands,
there was a smiling man holding a girl with wet eyes in revolt.
The man said I love you and smiled.
A word crossed out over and over ... until the paper is torn ...

Words that you said and no longer say,
Words like a sun that burned me,
Crazy eyes from blowing wind
In eyes that were mine, and happier.
Words you said and said
Secrets that were slow at dawn,
Imperfect, murmured promises
While our kisses allow.
Words that say, meaningless,
No way, but just because they were
That brings the calm of the stars
At night that associates to my ear ...
Words that do not say, nor are yours,
Who died, who no longer exist
That are mine, only mine, because they persist
In the memory that drags through the streets.

I find myself in this same old place
Feeling way old my usual space
Been here before almost all of my life
Thinking what ifs and feeling like mice
Deadly that silence lurking by shadows
Creeps closer and closer knight arming the gallows
Quiet all around, echo in place
She sounds bright siren sets thunder bolts grace
Voice through void hear pitch clear my love my baby
Accepting my fate, the risk I had to take maybe
Moments with you a martyr lay wait
Can nothing a pedestal I make
Holding with might, the night forsake
Feeling no warmth, a fear I hate
Toughing cold haste still see by blur
Truth sinking feeling abandoned by her
Now all that is left is odor heaven scent
A waking nightmare, tear locked eyes ever bent
Sitting and staring most of time
Pain through the window false whish for my sign
Drops of pure light slice thought face key, memory smile fill, shimmer of three
Avoiding green stew anger to follow stabbing my gut another to be
Spinning in circles loop pity forever
Infinite sadness thick chocking despair disables together
Need to escape unable to move lost in self-doubt, man fits bill
Cornered by loneliness trapped by worlds no sign will
Locked universal a partner be
Hurt waves break tide she is set free
No need to pretend a love once me
Knowing full well you were taking the key
Often, I wonder life probability seen
Patient I delay stepping in stars beam
Scatter and fall light actors final play
I hope one day another might stray
Feeding my love, I will give it away
Not to long now I rock and sway
Whispers lips close soft get near
Transfixed by her gaze kiss tilted neck here
Moving as one unable to fake
I say night mantra, miss you and need you forever future soul mate
