Awakening

Too much engrossed in the fable of life, tis not meant to be taken seriously, here today, gone tomorrow, arrived in March, departed in May, look, I just did not want to stay, I've got eternity to find my way, I may be back, or I may not, dont know why I came here, I forgot!

Wonder

Did you ever look at the night sky and wonder?, did you ever look at a newborn baby and wonder? Did you ever look at Niagra falls or the Pyramids in Egypt and wonder? I was just wondering!

Pay your way

Why are we soo obsessed, craving forgiveness, wanting to be blessed? soo many channels on tv, send your money so you can be free, how much does it take to enter the pearly gate?

If I send to you all I've got,, will it get me in?, will it not? How much will it take? How much will you make?, What's God's cut for this saving grace? Will he meet me face to face? Does he take cheques? Cash?, or a credit card? This is too complicated, it's too hard, I'm destined for hell,,, yep , guess I fell.

Stone Wall

A stone wall weathers with age
It's number becomes more feint
A beginning more distant away
What makes a spirit finally rest
Still dressed in its Sunday best
See how time wears us down
So when a leaf falls to the ground
Slowly becoming dust turning brown
Perhaps erased by the sands of time
Endlessly shaping in the ground
Just biding my time I guess
I think I’ll just hang around
Run a little while longer if I can
Separating who knows what from where
No hurry to be already gone then there

Sorrow at my door

Slowy moving though my minds demise.
Hearing mumblings as others reminisce.
Some smile and laugh an ode to you and your amazing life.
Lyrics, jokes and thoughts, all manner of sadness disguised.

With wine in hand, I smile a story from youth I recall.
A breeze can be seen as the plants you planted bend and petals and leaves fall.
Your garden is full of life and colour and its movements enchant my sight.
I first set eyes on the sorrow that now haunts me.

There you sit unruffled and yet you set my mind to muddle.
One Magpie with eyes like magnificent black pearls.
Your sit alone and stare.
I look to the sky’s above to see your friends to complete the rhyme.
But it seems sorrow is my faith at this time.

The sands of time flow your presence, your stare.
A constant that fuels my despair.
I look to sky’s, I try, I look to my soul.
The pain I feel I lie.

I look to the skies to find your friends.
But is just me and you locked in a sorrowful stare.
I look to the darkened ground of the garden, and this is where your friend is found.
Amongst the fallen debris.
Of leaves, petals, branches, and shards.
Is a decaying Magpie, now a maggot ridden tomb.

I reflect and ponder; Did I deliver sorrow to you?

About this poem:
Every day Since my stepdad passed away, I have seen one magpie in the same spot it was haunting. I recently had a look and I found that the second one had died. It is amazing how you can be so wrapped up in what you think is happening to you and miss what is happening to others.

Another Fairytale

Finding your 'soul mate '.

The world makes you believe that is a 'thing.'

After getting married twice, and believing in that, at this old age I realised.

There are a lot of people in this world that could make you happy, and who you are meant to be with at the time in your life that you have them.

But the, 'One special person your soul searched for ' is a fantastic fantasy, something to hope and dream for, it keeps you going forward, and trying with everything you have every time.

But it's a fairytale, beautiful, but just a fairytale...

Flowers

Woman are thought of as a Rose,
Soft petals, beautiful fragrance, delicate and surrounded by strong thorns to protect her.

Some woman are just like that.

For me a woman is like a sunflower, bright yellow and cheerful, always turns to the warmth of people, and has seeds that feed and nourish.

Most women are sunflowers.

But remember the Rose can bend without breaking, the sunflower can get destroyed for her seeds.

In the end all flowers are beautiful, soft and strong in their own right, so treasure them.

Rainbow's in a waterfall.

Rainbow's in a waterfall, magical, beautiful and breathtaking.

Lovely to watch, inspiring hope and dreams.

But always keep your distance when the waterfall is strong or you could be broken and become part of the rainbow.

Departed

Gone as the colors faded
The cold clouds departed
Cast in shadows is the darkness
Where no mind rests as much as death

Where have all the rainbows gone
When morning weeps like tears
As black as blue becomes
So becomes life without you
As gray as day becomes night
I’m begging you to come home
