Preponderance

The least among us are often the best
Not always in referral to greatness
More speaking about a personality
Before the dive to the abysmal bottom
How lofty and often one may speak
May never never again be reached
The genius that tries be-riddles me
Makes a mockery of my freedom
The giants among us all still rivals
All the attention so badly needed
To separate the good from the bad
Where nothing so spectacular as evil
Ever rule over our hearts and minds
So sojourn on my soldier friends
Marching to the drumbeat called liberty
I follow only that what I can defend
And share hope like rays of sunlight
Breaking through the dense darkness
Above the shouts does freedom cry

About this poem:
Abstract about the loneliness and solitude of conviction, about the desire for freedom and liberty.
Independence and Unity that march side by side is stronger than the forces that separate them.

He lives in my mind.

Hard, work roughened hands, interlocked with mine
Pulled into His chest, my Face resting against His heart, arms behind my back with His fingers still wrapped around mine.
My happy place, control and choice removed from me for a while.

My fantasy that I am not sure I will ever find.
He would have to be mentally stronger than me and know me.
Physically, older or around my age.
With the right amount of gentle respect and Dominance, to be able to receive submission without demanding.

He would also have to be real enough to one day touch me physically as well as mentally.

About this poem:
Still a fantastic fantasy.
But I guess each relationship teaches you that maybe.
Always believe and maybe, the next one.
Maybe.

This Land is Who's Land

If you don’t own the land
Then the land owns you
You will never suffer again
We will take care of everything
You can always trust the State
We can never lead you astray
We will always defend your rights
From the cradle to the grave
Just as long as you behave
We fight we fight with all our might
Just as long as you believe
We will make everything alright
Don’t worry or be deceived
How do you know beforehand
Things don’t work out as planned

I am waiting for you to fail

In the beginning we give ourselves so freely and completely.

As we progress and discover hurt and loss, we hold back parts in case we lose them.

When we have chunks of who we were missing, we are so gaurded that nobody can truly know you.

At this stage, I am finding that I throw everything I am, the good, bad and ugly, one by one and wait for them to fail, because they will it's human nature.

About this poem:
I guess it's knowing what you are doing and why that's a good thing.
I still hope unrealistically that someone would pass my test and be strong enough to stay.
But then I would have to let them.

Stairway

There's this interesting Stairway made of stone, that has many levels.

The top level is smooth and well kept, many people have been there.

The middle level has a few cracks and patches of moss, but you can still walk without falling.

The lowest level is where you have to tread carefully, many crack's, lot's of moss and you can fall off easily.

But the few people who take the time to get to the bottom of the strairs, who have the patience to walk slowly and learn the staircase, they get to see the gentle garden where wonder and magic can be found.

What You do to Me

When I think of love, I think of you
When the skies are grey, you turn them blue
When fear grips darker, you bring the light
When hope feels empty, you fill the night
When coldness feels me, you hold me near
When sorrow clouds me, your love is clear.

You And A Lot Of You

Your the treasure,
I've been dreaming on
Your the light ,
In the darkest night.
Your the wind,
Your the rain,
Your the sky
And my world
Only you
Oh only you I'd fall for
You'll be my past ,
present and future
You, only you like no one else
Only you, ohhh only you,
Listen to my words
Cause it's all true
Only you, in me.
How about me to you?

You're down?

Yesterdays bring sadness
But much more laughter
Hey! Unforgettable experiences
Many struggles but,
Here you are surviving still.

Life is tough and scary
Stand up and welcome tomorrow
Like innocent yet brave
Think like you're not too old but young to worry for tomorrow.

Pray and be brave!

The woodsman

Winter with snow. The woodsman emerges from the forest. He has a red checkered jacket and blonde hair. He stops and places his leather boot on the top of a stump. He turns and smiles.

her question (my answer)

she looks at me, mid pub, and asks
in a way, rhetorical
as if she knows something
I don't and will never

"why do you live on a boat?"

for the sounds of raindrops
above my sleeping head
for my conversation with dawn
always the same woman
uniquely dressed

for ebb for flow for light
light such as it is
it informs, comforts, and listens
for breeze, whipped

for a wild mirror
pitched at an angle
past me
to show truth

for the lone swan
whose visits mean more
to me than it

for the years that should have taken
yet didn't.

for the woman I'll know I'll meet
who speaks in the dialect
of unaware kindness
dresses in the clothes of realism
and sings in the key of smiling

for ropes for knots
bowline
single sheet bends
carrick bends
reef
anchor hitch

arteries around
this chamber of peace
