Answer it No No and No. I am wary of people who don't like Animals. If it was because of Asthma... that's a difficult one... I think a pet is for life. There are ways around it should it occur. I have adult Asthma but I still keep a Cat and love Dogs. I have it on my profile that I love Animals and work with them so it's there from the beginning.
exactly - this is just like any other compatability issue that needs sorted. there is no right or wrong...but I do think it's a mistake to think that someone will change for you

Potential is the key word. If it was a serious relationship and the person is allergic, then yes. If it was a lifestyle difference, then we wouldn't be in a serious relationship in the first place and then the answer would be no.
In support of option 3, let's say you're about to hook up with Hugh Hefner. Let's face it. Your favorite cat or dog or goldfish is going to outlive this guy, so leave the pet with a friend, hook up with Hugh, then convince him to take on Michael Jackson's old doctor.:evillaugh:
Scenario for the guys: Hugh Hefner has finally come out of the closet...

I did once and I can only say that I was pretty sad about it but that was nothing to the fact that the individual did not even follow through and I ended up alone all the same. Currently my pet Kitty Sasha is still missing. If and when she returns I doubt I would want to place her somewhere else and have things just end up the same way. For instance if I were to get involved with someone at this time, (don't laugh too hard!) then I suppose I would tell them that I was missing my cat and I am hoping one day she returns...
Obstinance_Works: Have done. I threw her chihuahua in the river. It's a secret tho so don't say anything, she still thinks it was taken in by the local kebab house.
I have this overriding fantasy about you OW
And it's not about chihauhaus (nor the pelicans that are famed around here for sweeping them up off the shore and dispatching them skywards .. )
It's about you and dreams of Brideshead Revisited, alongside Jeremy Irons, back in the day, yanno .. sighhhh
Brannigan70: Been thinking bout this since my initial reply (wanting to say what sounded normal) but the right thing to say (for me) is ........No I wouldn't give up my pet , currently without one since my old girl slipped away in June
unlaoised: It depends on the reason but as a rule...noway
Someone who would give that kind of ultimatum has more than told enough for me to know they won't be a good match. (I so can't stand control freaks/power trippers).
