I can fully understand the devoloper, of new medicines getting compensated for his work, and cost. No problem, but it gets to a point where the people who need this medicine are immaterial, and money is the main concern, When drug companies (pharmasutical companies) revenues are biggar than some states, and provinces, and countries something is definitely wrong,
Hello LJ, Good Blog, really enjoy it, learnt a lot . As for me, there are new ms drugs out, that cost , get this, $100,000 a year. And get this , they might work For $100,000 per year , they had better work. Sounds like they re looking for quinie pigs, I m grateful my MS isn t progressing, and I only have to use a cane. I find better diet is the best help. I see so many people with Ms taking this pill, that pill, and at the end of the day, I don t see any improvement in any of them, Every time some one comes out with new ideas for curing or helping People with MS, they have to be studied, criticised till those ideas are never heard of again, Drug companies,
Snookums, If I judged all women based on a few bad experiences I ve had with women , I d be pretty narrow minded. For every horror story you can tell me about men, I ll tell you one about a female. I take pride in the fact, I realize theres a lot of nice ladies out there, and on the chatline, And theres a lot of Good men out there as well. Don t paint us all with the same brush.
Hello Avias, Enjoy your blog, I remember such times as when veggies came from the garden, not the store. When tv only had two channels, Going to visit relatives was something to look forward to . People seemed to be happy to have jobs, and be working. Most stores were closed on Sundays. Family get togethers were common. Miss those days. Looking back on yesteryear, I realize I m getting older, and not being in the best of health that aging process has been sped up, but do realize what some of the finer things in life are, and were I might be a bit crazy, not stupid,
Hello Ed, Back again, the more I think of it, the more our library has to offer, a nice restaurant a block away, a nice city park adjoining the library. Me being a history buff, what a place for some good reading and local history. My grandparents settled in the area in 1914, I ll be able to look into it, A lot of the old classic novels don t get much attention these days, I ll have my choice, Local, and provincial papers there, free to browse over, Our city hall isn t far away, gives me a chance to pay utility bills there. And its time to meet some new people, And the more I think of it, the better it gets, Nice place to spend some time, and it don t hurt the pocket book, Catch you later,
Hello, Ed, Like your blog, I was just mentioning to a friend I was going to start making an occasional trip to the library. I could read the paper, meet some new people, sit in the park..... an outing. One of those free things in life that people take for granted. Thanks Bud, You have a Good one,
Nam, I guess, I m one of those softies, and don t mind helping out a friend in need. And when my easy going nature gets taken advantage off, that's the price of me helping out the wrong person. Maybe its time for me to start taking care of myself more.
Nam . Good conversation, I know what you re getting at. One instance I m referring to is , a few yrs ago a lady friend was broke, and needed money for groceries. I took her to the store, bought her groceries, for her and her 2 kids. No problem,I wasn t going to see anyone go hungry. Two weeks later, this former friend was telling people, I was heartless didn t help her out, , and she wasn't going to pay me back,(for which I didn t care if I was paid back) People who seen me in the store with her, and a credit card statement sure begged to argue. I wasn't paid back, (not that I wanted to be, but got the satisfaction of her 2 kids not going hungry. And there I was wondering what just went on,
Hello Nam, Back again, Well I guess I do say those words. Me with a big mouth ,let mutual friends, of myself, and those particular people in distress know how I was treated, so those mutual friends know what type person that supposed person in distress actually are, You can t argue with the truth.
Good Morning Nam, I ve been in that WHITE KNIGHT role a few times. Trying to help a friend, or that damsel in distress out.Not to dominate the person but being a friend. And in a number of times, my return was a knife in the back, or I should say a chain saw, That term After all I ve done for you, wasn t said, but it sure came to mind. For those I help out,the only thing I expect in return is nothing more than a Thank You, not a knife in the back. No one can be happy with that
Hello Cat, I ll tell you Cat, my disability, (ms)(which isn t at its worse) has sure shown me who my true friends are. It has shown me a lot of supposed friends true colors. Once my disability is mentioned a lot of people tend to keep their distance, figuring I ll be asking for some sort of assistance or that, Which I figure is ironic because when they need some help with something, I m the first person they turn to. Life is a lesson. Theres true friends, (rare), and then there are those people who are at your side ,for their gain and nothing more, And I m starting to complain, , better grab another coffee. You have a Good Day,
Hello Georgie, I can understand where you re coming from. I know some men , that are just like what you described. But I know a few women who are just the same. Presently I have two female friends from my past who ve stepped back into my life. And for the way they treated me in the past, as far as I concerned, they won t be in my present. When its done, its done for me as well.
Hello Lukeon, I haven t drank in years, Thank God. I know if I was still drinking, I d be on the blogs, sticking not one, but both feet in my mouth, You have a Good one Bud,
Hello wolfie, I totally agree with you. Manners, and respect seem to have got lost in all this new technology, . I know countless people, a lot of young people that are so busy texting, they ve forgotten the words please, and thank you, I see so many people texting while driving, , there is no more courtesy on the road. Its definitely a different world, I don t know if its a better world, Yo have a good day,
Nam , I know fisherman who were so intent on going fishing,(as they call it), getting loaded , that when they left, they forgot their fishing tackle, And then they come home with the nerve to tell lies about the big one that got away, Been there done that
Hello Nam, Going fishing is a great way to get away from things (people, noise, nonsense....) Our fishing season starts in 3 weeks, Me, my lawnchair, and a mug of coffee will be parked along the river then, very relaxing, I usually fish catch and release, but if any of the other people want a meal , my catch is theirs. Theres lots of wildlife to see, the 4 legged variety, And its only 15 minutes away from home for me, Couldn t ask for anything better, You have a Good One Nam,
GG, I know of several women ,who want husbands, relationships... but after getting to know them, I don t need the problems that come with them. You more than likely know similar men. The headaches that come with them sure makes being alone sound like heaven. I know I m not a perfect fellow, but I don t need major up evil in my life.(been there, done that.) I know I m not happy being alone, but realize its better than being miserable. You could say, I m somewhat content,
