Hello Nam, After watching that video, , I don t know whether to laugh, get sick, of be scared I think I ll just settle for being happy that I m single Thanks for the reminder Bud,
Willow, that is a sad story. Animals are a lot smarter than we give them credit for. I know I d be lost without my little pooch. You heard the song Me and My Shadow, I figure its about me and my pooch,
Hello Ken, With myself, I ve noticed ,when dealing with banks, and government pension people , I hand out a lot of compliments to them, (as tough as it is) and I tend to get a lot better treatment. My theory is those people never get compliments, and could possibly be in a mini state of shock, and mellow out, As goofy as it sounds, compliments (lots) seem to work, You have a Good one,
Hello Willow, , Back again, My pooch is a 13.5 yr old toy poodle, a little character, He s got me trained, , Moms been gone 2 yrs now, and he s still looking for her. (he ,every so often ,takes a stroll around the neighborhood looking for her) talk about dedication.
Good Morning Willow, I m sitting here, having my morning coffee, and my pooch is sitting here next to me. Mom passed away 2 years ago, and I inherited her little dog, maybe he inherited me, Me with a touch of ms, and him getting rather old,, we re there for each other. He s been my shadow, best friend, and loyal companion, . He s full of smiles, and smooches, and doubles as a foot warmer, and hot water bottle, and I wouldn t want it any other way,
Good Morning Gentlejim, Maureen O hara was truly an acting legend. I m a fan of the old black and white movies, and figure because of actresses like her ,she made those movies Great. Afew months ago, there was an interview with her on tv, she was in her older years, her wit, humor, and stories had my eyes glued to the screen, Truly a Great Actress
Hello Ken, I love your list, ,And I got proof to back up everything you say. I worked as a surveyor,(engineering technician) on road contruction, for 32 yrs, took hundreds of pictures on the jobsites over those years. I do not have one pictures of a female, using a chainsaw, brushhook, or in hipwaiters , or doing any heavy lifting, or towing trailers, or working the far north country. When cold weather hit, take a quess who got sent to do the heavy work, Engineers used to say women could do any work on the job, good thing he didn t say it to me.
Hello Willow, One thing about women, that irks me and mystifies me is, I ve known a few women who can lie their faces off and act as if its nothing. And when they re caught telling lies ,they act as if its nothing and say Oh I changed my mind, (no signs of regret, or remorse ) I shouldn t generalize, because all women aren t like this, And maybe I m jealous I can t lie this good. I have known men who lie alot: , but not as good as the female liars I ve known.
Hello Gird Yourself, It was indeed time for a change, With the world changing ,at an alarming pace, I figure its time for a change. I m just hoping ,the new change will take Canada in the proper direction, You have a Good One,
Good Morning Gentlejim Thanks for the chuckle, , nice way to start the day off with, Wish we had a few more bloggers like you, You have a Good One Bud,
Good Morning Willow, I sure enjoyed the clip on FWP, . I have a relative or two, who are well off, (good jobs, nice homes, lots of money), and yet they do nothing but complain, about f w p, Thanks Willow, you ve made me a lot more appreciative for having what I got. Definitely got a whole new perspective on things.
Good Morning Willow, Some of those questions on the previous clip, can sure make a bad first impression, (okay maybe I m too old fashioned, thinking being polite while making a first impression is important.) as for myself ,I always would like to know what a woman does for a living. Its a good conversation starter, and it tells a lot about a person.(and it gives me a hint on what subjects I should avoid, before I stick my foot in my mouth, ) I m in my later 50s, and have spoke to a few of the younger neighbors daughters,(who have tried dating sites, ) and could not believe the way a lot of men have spoken to these young ladies, , and then again I couldnt believe some of the nonsense I was fed by a few women I ve met. Truly believe being honest, and polite sure doesn t hurt any situation.
Hello Ken, , That is quite the story, . Its bad enough someone got murdered, but having a 13, and 18 yr old getting involved is mind boggling. Whats got me wondering is what type of situation was it that would pull 2 (13, and 18 yr olds )youths into it, Life is so precious , the lifes of those 2 youths has been turned upside down, Why, Thanks for that story Ken,
Hello Willow, , I ve met a few women off of plenty of fish. Some very nice ladies, and some not so nice ladies. I ve found bits, and pieces of the truth, don t paint a proper picture. For instance, one lady told me she worked at a hospital, apparently she did , 6 yrs prior, (for 6 months). She was on assistance. I can understand people go thru good times, bad times, but she didnt have to sugar coat the story. Willow, maybe I m too old fashioned, I m honest with people, and expect the same in return.
Good Morning Willow, Dating in the 90s was much simpler. When you wanted to get to know someone in the 90s, texting, computors, facebook weren t competing for that special persons time, and attention. The 90s weren't an eternity away, but even then things were simpler, and I know I was a lot happier then,(without the new age technology), What s that saying less is more,
I know when a person has nothing nice to say, they should more than likely say nothing, but a lot of people have to get the last word in, no matter how stupid it is.
I ve got a different view point when it comes to respect. Theres the old saying respect has to be earned, , , I ve always thought respect should be given, given to everyone, and it will be returned.
Hello Cal, Good reply to that fellow, hope it rattled him. Unfortunately there are lots of fellow like that out there. I pride myself on being respectful and polite to everyone. A few lady friends have even referred to me as a true Gentleman, but because of the afore mentioned fellow, and his like, some women lump all men into his crowd,
Hello Willow, Love your blog on simpler times, (before cell phones, internet and computors) A lot of the things you mentioned in your blog , sure brought back similar memories to me. As a kid, I remember life having a lot more family gatherings, manners, being polite and helpful to others was common practise, Thanks for the blast from the past,
Good Morning Nam, Love hearing of your trips. Yesterday I went for a ride in a big rig, about a 5 hr trip. And I remembered riding in a Semi ,sures give a person a different perspective than driving or riding in a car, or half ton. I find it amazing how much more a person notices in a semi.(wildlife), the two, and four legged variety, You have a Good One,
Hello again, I totally agree with what you re saying. Maybe I m mistaken, but I was always under the impression, in stores, Good service, Good products , and good prices will bring in more customers, (for the store) resulting in more money for the store, and happy customers, Either times are changing, or I m too old fashioned, Maybe I m going thru Middle aged crazy,
Hello Track16, from Saskatchwan, I seen on Tv, the cold weather and snow you got on the East coast last year, , couldnt believe the amount of snow you got out there We had a milder Jan , and feb last year,(than normal) but the previous winter we set a record for snow fall. If I never seen a snowflake all winter it wouldn't hurt my feelings, You have a Good one Bud,
