Hello Socrates, Spiritual, religious, ,I figure I m spiritual, not religious. Believe theres a higher power out there, just don t need someone telling me what to, or what not to believe in, think I can be more content in arriving in my own conclusions. I ve known a few very dishonest people who claimed to be religious, didn t want to go there, or be there. I do believe in being an honest, caring , helpful person, is that being spiritual, or religious. Maybe my beliefs are my own ,personal religion.
Good Morning Nam, Good Blog, You were blunt, to the point, and said it,how it actually is . I find it so sad, that people, society ,is so wrapped up in themselves, money , and material possessions they don t see the injustices of the world , going on around them, And this is supposed to be progress . You have a Good day there Bud.
Good Blog Ian, I lost Mom ,just over 2 yrs ago, not a day passes without me thinking of her. Those precious memories of her are strengthened by your blog, Thanks,
Hello Gentlejim, , good stuff, gets you thinking. Heres one for you, Whats a seniors definition of pulling an all nighter, Going to sleep, and sleeping all night without getting up to use the bathroom.
Definitely a Good actor. He took the villain role to another level . If he ever played the good guy role, he would have excelled at that too. He will be remembered and missed
I tend to agree with Ccincy, I d rather be alone, than be with someone and be miserable, (been there done that, or should I say doing that) , I also find theres much less wear on my pocket book, You heard the saying Money can t buy happiness, well neither can poverty, At least when I go to meet my maker, I ll have a few bucks in my pocket, and a smile on my face,
Good Morning Nam, , Like your blog, good Timing for it, I have a particular friend whos world is falling apart, and that person is blaming anyone, and everyone. And when I got in the line of fire, I told that person ,before they involve me in their disaster, they should have a good look in a mirror. There are too many people around who can t take responsibility for their stupidity, its always someone elses fault, Oh yes Nam, I am beginning to have some doubts about some of my friends,
Hello Gentlejim,( from western Canada), like your story, . It strikes home abit with me, I ve been struggling ,all morning with 6 inches of snow on a rather big driveway, We ve had very little snow here this winter, so far, , but my house is well stocked, and have good tv, and my computer, I will survive, , You have a Great Day,
Hello Track, I m one of those people who doesn t care for weed, it hits me rather hard, puts me to sleep, very quickly, , but do know a good number of people who smoke it, that enjoy it , and when they do , theres none of the fighting, arguing, and nonsense thats prevalent with alcohol. I quit drinking in 93, when I woke up one day and one beer would hit me like 8 or 9., a sign my body was saying I was drinking too much. And I did some volunteer work at a drug, and dry out center, Answering phones. After working in this place a person realizes how much damage alcohol does cause, from domestics, car accidents,(drunk drivers), work place accidents, bad life decisions,........ Alcohol definitely one of the worlds Number one Killers, Makes a Person wonder,
Morning Nam, I have a number of memories similar to those you have mentioned And they are front and center in my memory, and giving it some thought, I find it rather sad, because they over ride the memories of the good times my father and I had. The memories of the good times far out weigh the number of bad ones. One of the best memories I have of my father was , he was there for me when circumstance, and time said he wouldn t be able to. For myself, I find ,if I dwell in the negative, (it makes me too miserable )
What I enjoy at Christmas is all the good food. The neighbors wives sending me over Christmas Baking, The churches bake sales, with all the homemade Goodies, I usually get too, too much of these Christmas goodies, so I make sure I invite a few less fortunate people I know over for a christmas fiest. Christmas is the season of giving,
Hello Gentlejim I ll be at my Aunts home on Xmas day, visiting, and reminiscing, and enjoying good food. And the days after xmas, I ll be coffeeing and visiting neighbors. Looking forward to seeing the neighbors kids, and hearing what they got for xmas. All the Xmas baking doesn t help my Sweet tooth, or mid section,
Ed, Sounds like you had a feast, and enjoyed yourself, The good food, Christmas baking, I think are the part of the Christmas season I enjoy the most. The church suppers, bake sales, neighbors wives sending over baking and pastries make it that much more of a special time of year, You have a Good one there Bud,
Hello wenever I have seen stores, mark prices way up,then have a sale, (20, 30,40 percent off). The new sales price are higher than the original price, Some of gimics stores use to get customers in the door can leave people with a being used feeling. And then again ,stores put up with shoplifters, rude customer.... Sure makes for a vicious circle. Wenever, I could imagine you have some good stories about shoppers too. You have a Good day there Bud,
RE: Jaws And The Newly Weds
