Hello Nam, As usual you brought up some good points to ponder, I too have wondered about many of the things you ve mentioned, but have come to the conclusion I shouldn t give them too much thought, it would drive me crazy, and you know in my case, that could be a very short trip, Not sure about Leony, He was a regular here, then I looked and he was gone,
Hello Nam, One thing I loved to see when I was on the road travelling was people actually slowing down at wildlife crossing signs, Those signs are there for a reason, It actually showed some people actually do care,
I have a friend ,who raises rats as pets. He tells me of how friendly they are, and how intelligent they are..... I ve heard the same about miniature hedgehogs, quiney pigs, and miniature pigs as pets thru out the years. Well after the craze, and money ran out for the previous mentioned pets, you never hear of them again. And I ll assume the same will happen for pet rats. I m too attached to my 14 yr old toy poodle as a pet , to even think about a rat for a pet. Wish you the best there Bud,
Hello Jim, Its usually not my place to criticize another countries government, but in this case, I can sure sympathize with your anger. I know I would be UPSET,
Hello Ken, Nice blog, , it brought back a lot of memories of my youth, being a cub scout. As a kid , a lot of young boys carried little pocket knives, no one got stabbed, or threatened. The knives were for camping, fishing, hunting, and odd jobs. Nowadays, knives aren t as prevalent , the talk of knives in schools here are dealt with harshly . Times have changed. As for the knife in your pic, I have a similar one ,around the house here somewhere, once found , it will be cherished so much more, Thanks Bud, You have a Great Day,
Hello Ian, I happen to be a history buff, and wasn t aware of what happened in the philipines. Two weeks ago I , while reading, I came across what you just mentioned. Just goes to prove there are parts of history, people don t mention, or should I say ,don t want to mention or remember. There are numerous instances of similar events that time has forgotten, or should I say people don t want to remember or talk about.
Mapmaker, Isn t that the truth, I should be dwelling upon the fact , I live in a Good country, have good neighbors and friends, , not listening to how crazy the world is getting. It will drive me crazy, and its a short drive,
Hello zmountainman, Very sad what happened to the young lady, and what happened to the young lady in Pakistan, What scares me is, Canada, my country which is taking in alot of immigrants lately, is allowing people ,(who committed the above mentioned discusting acts) into the country,
Here in Canada, we have some strict gun laws. Disappearing are the days when guns are needed to put food on the table. Knives are prominent in acts of crime, (robberies, domestic disputes...) Assault rifles are banned, handguns have very difficult to possess, and yet our crime rates continue to rise.
What happened in Orlando, was the first thing I seen on the news this morning, Very sad indeed, There is speculation of mental illness, terrorism, .... nothing definite right now, The only thing definite right now is it is a very very sad day,
Good Morning, Nam,Yes, You had honorable intentions (I ve been in similar situations), and found myself not breaking up a fight, but being part of a worse situation, I ve quit being that white knight. More often than not those are loose, loose situations. We must be getting wiser with age,
Hello Georgie, Yes Winning is about courage and perseverance , the courage to look life in the Face, and not back down from what it throws at you, The courage to not back down from adversity, and make the best of you re adversity, And perseverance of trying to make more proper discisions than poor ones, and the perseverance of learning from mistakes, Life is what we make of it,
Hello Socrates, I like your poem, those words carry a BIG MESSAGE. As for kids, I ve always believe kids are a reflection of the parents. There is alway the exception for every rule, but I ve found If people are respectful, polite, and kind to others, the kids in most cases follow suit. And on the other hand , if the parents are spoilt, moody, and disrepectful of others, the kids are in most cases the same, When it comes to kids, I have none, but have a 3.5 yr old, and her 6 yr old brother come visit me, (the neighbors Grandchildren) They play with my little dog, have some potato chips. They spoil me with manners, laughter, and smiles, They re Great little ones, and I have to remember not all kids are like these two, I guess adults can be spoilt too. You have a Great day My Friend,
Hello tatami, Here at our local hospital, a good number of immigrants have been hired. (from all around the world) . And they re helped with learning to speak English, with coaches, and teachers. A lot of these new comers to Canada are very nice people, and Great workers, But there are a portion of them at the hospital who refuse to speak English and when instructed on what job duties they have reply ME NO SPEAKY ENGLISH, I wonder if they understand the words YOU RE FIRED I guess theres always one rotten apple in the bunch
Hello Georgie, Haven t seen you in a while, nice to see you back The more the merrier. As for chasing after someone,I quit that, I did enough of that in my younger day, and kept catching the wrong ones,
Hello Cat, Nice to see you back , We were just talking about you the other day, and it was all good things said, I missed your blogs, but its great to have you back You have a Good day My friend,
Lindsy, I ve met parents, maybe you have, who figure thier little ones should be allowed to roam around a bit, so they can learn for themselves, ( I ve noticed it when shopping) Makes me wonder about this situation,
Hello Lindsy, I wonder what signs the Zoo officials had posted at the entrance of the zoo, for the do s, and don ts of visitors Occasionally when I baby sit, and go out in public, I make sure youngster I babysit is within arms reach. I figure I am responsible for that child, and that childs return home. Its a sad situation , hope something is learn from the death of the gorilla, a majestic animal.
