Hello Onthcrestofawave Besides the young kids believing in Santa, you got a 60 yr old kid here who still believes in Santa. When my neighbors grandchildren come over for a visit, and the 6 yr old little girl, with a serious look in her eye tells me about Santa, how can I not believe in Santa. You have to admit the spirit of giving, and caring does exist in the festive season and we can blame it on Santa. Merry Christmas my friend,
Hello Elegsabiff To me the perfect gift for a writer, or for anyone as far as that matters is time, Spend some time with the person, especially when they re having a bad day, help them clear their minds. As for that spent time, do something different, try a new restaurant , go for a drive, check out events in a neighboring community … You can make the outing as cheap, or expensive as you want. I found a change of scenery, or events for awhile can sure lift a persons spirits,
Hello Track I could handle living in a tree house. A person might be giving up a lot leaving a city, but they would be gaining so much more living in the country,
Hello Onthecrestofawave As for mris , I ve had a few for my ms. (some rather lengthy ones) I had no problems. The anticipation, and worry about having one, (especially the first one) was probably the worst thing about the ordeal. But overall they were no big deal. The mri results confirmed what was suspected. The good thing about mris is they will get to the root of a problem, and eliminate any speculation. Actually, I wish I would of had an mri to begin with, instead of seeing a number of specialists.
Hello Ken, Its definitely a different era in the dating world. I know a number of intelligent younger people who are having difficulty asking someone out, . I tend to think of it as book smart, life stupid .
Hello Socrates, Not only did this fellow, Chau , possibly expose these isolated tribeman to disease, he also brought them world attention, . And who knows what will result from that. How long will it be before the media has to investigate the isolated tribesman, , How long will it be before someone seeking the public spotlight lands on the island, As you can tell, my opinion on the situation is, if its not broken, don t try and change it.
Hello Nam, You wouldn t believe ….. What Goes On, is oh so true. I have a trucker friend who makes deliveries in one of our major cities out here. He believes about 80 percent of drivers continue to text, and talk on the phone while driving, Hefty fines, vehicle impoundment, license suspensions don t seem to make a difference I wonder if vehicle sales would make a difference, As you can tell I ve had 2 fender benders with texters
Hello Socrates Good to see you. When it comes to others having different opinions than mine, I enjoy sitting and discussing their points of view, maybe I haven t heard all the facts, maybe I m looking at the situation wrong. Arguing, yelling, and name calling only causes broken friendships.
Hello LadyImp, As of late the bank, which also handles my pension funds, has been somewhat slow, and inaccurate at doing what they ve been told to do, I ve gotten to the point where I ve told them , I ll be sending them a bill. I was told I can t do that. I was very polite, and told them, why not, you charge me for anything, and everything. And my wasted time, and money wasted because of their stupidity costs me. I followed up a heated conversation with > I ll be filing my complaint to the Canadian Disabilitys council, and they have LOTS of lawyers, you can deal with them. Did that ever get results . I m rather proud of the fact thru out our discussion I didn t YELL , Swear, or Threaten anyone,
Hello LadyImp Nice to know those pooches were rescued, I put my pooch down a yr ago, age, and illness caught up to him . And I ve developed such a soft spot in my heart for animals. Now I could only hope the owners of those dogs could be left on that cliff for awhile.
Hello UnFayzed I too watch my spending, keep an eye on the flyers, and sales. Love going shopping at 8am in the morning, no line ups, easy parking..... and stop for a coffee and do some visiting. Its an outing. As for gardening, I planted potatoes, nothing but potatoes, and give most of them to the neighbors, and tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers came back. And I have a few elderly neighbors, and I ll help out a bit cutting lawns, and have some fresh baking given back as a thank you. Its surprizing what abit of good will return,
Hello LadyImp I like that idea of a calendar of old buildings. For the locals in the area it would be a bit of local history, along with a lot of past memories. I know out here a few cafes put up huge pics of older community buildings, they sure make for some great conversation pieces .
Hello Nam, Our planet might be small compared to others, but so much of this tiny planet remains unexplored. It was recently mentioned scientists know more about the moons surface than they know of the ocean floors of the world, Wasn t a group of indigenous people discovered in South America (recently) that has never made contact with the modern world. I ve worked in some remote areas in the northern reaches of our province, and have often wondered , has someone ever walked over the distant hills. MAybe these unexplored areas , are the reason I believe in bigfoot, and ufo s.
Hello Nam, Thanks for the compliments, rather nice of you. Abit of a shocker, reading about myself for a change Thought you were talking about someone else for a moment, Lately I haven t been on CS much, with some health issues, I have my good days, bad days, and lately, I ve been having more bad days than good, reading your blog sure lifts the spirits, Thanks Bill
