Nowadays its much easier for people to go to the store for store bought pies and such, 
I m retired as well, and a few yrs ago I started planting potatoes. At the end of the growing season, I handed out pails of potatoes to a good number of the neighbors, Because of that gesture of kindness, I am forever having one of the neighbors walking in the front door with some of their baking. Its surprizing what those potatoes have turned into,
As for CS , we have all types of characters on here. Some good, some bad, and some we re not sure about, but there are a number of them, I consider friends, If a person can ignore the shady characters on CS, they can enjoy some good conversation, some humor, …. and you never know , maybe even make, and meet some new friends. I ve met a few ladies off CS, and we realized we have very little in common, but have found ourselves having an occasional coffee, friends, can t argue with that.
Very sorry to hear about your friend. As for little Lucy, am hoping she finds a good home, and it sounds as if that's all ready in the works, 
I ve used WD 40 numerous times, but just on moving metal parts, worked excellent. But can see it playing havoc with plastics, and rubber, just look at how at how oil based products can remove paint off painted soft plastic products,

and after the shock wore off, I would inform him I have access to firearms, and am very proficient at using shotguns. 
I , myself, have drawn from past experiences of doom and gloom relationships, and friendships to know when to walk away from those iffy situations. I have to brag about it, I m doing something proper for a change, Presently I in a rather serious friendship, where a lot of effort , and care and concern has been put into it, and the caring , and concern has been returned. A casual friendship has turned into something special,
I like the message of your blog,> don t be to quick to judge, till you hear both sides of the story. I know in past I was quick to pass judgement, ( was I an idiot ) Nowadays, I listen to both sides of the story, and all the facts to a situation before I open my mouth, Thanks for the reminder,

What ever happened to men treating a lady like she should be, 
I m currently chumming around with a neighbor lady, I hold open doors, hand out compliments, take her out for meals, even cook her up meals.... we do allot of chatting,.... ( yes I m old fashioned) her kids are in shock someone treats their mother so good, they say that only happens in the movies. It s so nice to hear from you, am hoping, and praying everything works out okay for you. Looking forward to chatting with you,

Years back an older engineer friend of mine taught me, when a person makes a mistake, and learns from them, its not a mistake, its a lesson, a life lesson. And how a person handles making a mistake does show the true measure of a person.
