Hello Ian, About 20 yrs ago, I went to an elderly lady, who was a card reader, she read my fortune. I never give any serious thought. She predicted I was going to spend a night in jail in 6 months, and be released, falsely accused. Six months later someone robbed a store, I was dressed like the robber, and was put in jail, next morning after the dust settled ,I was released, with a lot of apoligizes, The elderly lady predicted a number of unusual events in my life that were so accurate,I was amazed, She also told me that as I got older I would have a good friendship with a grey haired lady . Well ( I have ms), and take a guess who has been stopping in and checking on me lately (quite a bit) a long time lady friend, my age, who has grey hair. The elderly lady fortune teller recently passed away, but her words from 20 yrs ago are still with me. You have a good day there bud,
Good story avias It was quite the story. It could have also turned out a lot worse, I admire the elderly lady for fessing up what she did to the police, Just goes to prove senior moments can be trouble in the making, but that can be said about a lot of things. Thanks for the story Avias
Hello Socrates I happen to believe in Ufo s, once seen a strange light in the sky ,late one night (over a river valley) . A large round light was just hanging in the sky, motionless, I told a few people, and before I finished telling of what I saw, several other people also claimed to ,at one time or another seem something similar, . People ,I think ,who claim to have been abducted, are going to come across people (who don t want to be left out) have a been there done that attitude. copycats. We re both heard people say ,they've had dreams that were so life like, I wonder if dreams can warp a persons sense of reality ,by getting a person to think ,been there, because I dreamt that.
Hello Elegsabiff Death of conversation, I agree with that one. People are in such a rush to keep up with the communications race, they ve forgotten how to communicate with others, People walk and text, drive and text, eat and text...... yet they forgot how to say hello, Besides the loosing the art of conversation, manners, and being polite has been disappearing with it, And someone is going to tell me that's progress, I love the new computer age, but too much of a good thing.
Thanks Redex, and you too Minerva, I ve always thought a person has to keep a positive attitude, and hearing good things sure helps to keep it there, Thanks,
I haven t tried that, have to look into it. I find exercise, diet really make a difference, I ve noticed the change in weather sure brings out aches, and pains. My docter says its all in my head,(the change in weather), I tell him ,don t worry about my head, theres nothing there to worry about, I still cut lawns, shovel snow... just a lot slower. It could be a lot worse. I do volunteer work ,for the ms society, and know so many people with ms ,in much worse shape than myself. What the old saying theres always someone in much worse shape than yourself.
Hello Redex , I have MS, have to use a cane to walk. The thought of getting the flu scares me, I have enough aches and pains . My ms isn t progressing ,and I m still fairly active, don t want the flu interfeering with that,
Good Morning Gentlejim, That's Good advice about the flu shot. For those who don t know what to think about flu shots, talk to someone who works in a hospital, and ask them what the hospital is like in flu season. Talk to someone who works in a seniors home, and ask what flu season is like there, that will open some eyes, You have a good one Jim,
One of the biggest things I miss ,from when I was growing up was, on Sundays, the big stores were closed, as well as the bars, and a lot of the restaurants . Sundays were more of a day for families, visiting, and gatherings. Nowadays Sundays are just another day.
When I was growing up, it seemed like every school ,in our town , had an outdoor rink in winter, for hockey, skating. Someone would be teaching figure skating, and teaching the little ones how to skate. That kept us kid busy thru out the winter. Now a days just a few ,very few schools have outdoor rinks in winter,
Lou lou, I was talking to a long time friend ,the other day about Halloween, Do you remember collecting candy at Halloween in pillow cases, that was a standard practice,
I miss those days I spent on My Grandparents farm ,in my youth. The air seemed cleaner, the food tasted better, people were happier, We had some colder winters, good days, and bad, but we survived, without computors, cell phones. Whats that old saying, Less is more,
Hello sands88, , I remember the family jumping into the car ,and going out to the farm. Gone are most of the family farms. They ve turned into corporate farms. On my Grandparents farm ,there was no shortage of animals, from horses, to cattle, to turkeys and ducks.... but these days those type of farms are very rare.
Hello Gentlejim Good points to ponder, When ever I pay bills over the phone, Me proving who I am is a main concern, I ll be asking if any strangers have phoned wanting to pay my bills, And as for the speed in which a female replies to Whats wrong, reminds me of a girlfriend I once had, When she was mad at me she never said a word to me, sometimes for 3 or 4 days. The old silent treatment, Thanks Jim, You got me thinking,as well as laughing
Good Morning Track, Thinking of it, it is rather sad, more thought and belief being put in a fictional man in a red suit, than people who went to war for us and our freedom But that Fictional man in a red suit does represent the spirit of giving and caring, nothing wrong with that.(the sad thing about the man in the red suit is stores and corporations are putting a money grab on the situation) I do think our men and women who went to war for us should be held in the highest regard through out the entire year
Hello Nam, How ve you been, Nice to Know you have your wits about you when you re driving, I ve known drivers( of semis and regular Autos ) who were forever hitting wildlife My co workers used to laugh at me ,because on hazardous stretches of highways I used to slow down, mind you I never ever hit any wildlife, or was sitting in the ditch . Sounds like you re one of the better drivers on the road, You have a Good One there Bud,
Hello Willow, Your blogs, I ve enjoyed , they got me thinking, for which I Thank you I will say I agree with most of them, and for the few I don t , it could be my male outlook on things coming thru. When I see your name on a blog I do take the time to read it, because I know I ll more than likely enjoy it, and hear someones opinion, (of which I enjoy) There are a few bloggers who do nothing but complain and get down on life, those are the ones I couldn t be bothered with, And you Don t Fall into that category, Me with ms, I ve learnt everyone has good days, bad days, please don t make any harsh decisions on one of those bad days. You have a good one,
Hello Rayeo7, You ve had the misfortunes of speaking with some of those deceitful people, Unfortunately that's life. Give it some time, I m sure you ll bump into some down to earth ,decent people. In the mean time enjoy the blogs, forums,games.... , Its been a learning process for me. A few years ago, I never thought I d be chatting with people from around the world. You have a Good one,
Hello miclee , from north of the border. Our new government (from the recent election) is talking about taking in 25000 Syrian refugees. We ve already taken in a good number of immigrants over the last few years. I m waiting for something to pile up someplace,
Hello Lindsyjones I ve noticed a few people I chatted with ,on a regular bases , (people who used to comment on the blogs) are on the forums a lot, and have taken a pass on the blogs,
RE: explain the unexplained..if you can.
